dont listen to the hater. I have been lifting for 14 years 5 days a week have not missed many days in that time either.. It has changed my life in such a drastic way i dont even know who i would be if i wasnt lifting. I dont drink/smoke/do drugs, i work out and it is a much better confidence booster/depression killer than any of the other things people do.

Thats strange, i went from 155 lbs to 275 lbs in 14 years of lifting (6'5) and had the exact opposite effect. I do agree though that looks are the most important thing when trying to go to bars to pick up. Confidence goes up when your looks go up.

One of my best female friends would constantly give me no IOI's and would always say it would never happen...until it happened and she said she regretted waiting so long. Go for it. Smoking areas. I don't think I have ever pulled a single girl with a wingman. I just go off and do my thang in the smoking area. I dislike smoking and never smoked cigarettes, but i would hang there too. Its just a lot easier to strike up a convo. I actually "smoked" cherry flavored cigarellos, not sure if its considered "lame" or whatever since i was never part of the smoker crowd but lots of girls thought it was super cool and got me lots of openers, so i can confirm.

Fair, but don't discourage it based on your experience. Same goes for me i shouldnt encourage it for the same reason. It can be such a rush though and makes going to work so much more fun. I tend to find that it is only awkward if you make it and if you try to go for a girl thats not sane...But as long as you both know what you want out of it and are good at ignoring any feelings that you might get, its great!
