| -1 | Why get a degree when you can bitch online?doesn't mean that we need to shove women into a place. I don't think anyone's proposed that. If women aren't interested in STEM, which they aren't As I write this, I'm sitting in a research lab surrounded by women, just shaking my head at the ignorance of this statement. You've blown way past any kind of reasonable generalization into pure sexism. Give us a break and shut up. "I don't like hearing unpleasant truths!" Your whole life is a break. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 07/11/17 08:16 PM |
Why get a degree when you can bitch online? That's selection bias, though. Compare it to bad reviews for a product on Amazon: People who have a bad experience are most likely to write a review, people who were happy with the product way less so. Because of this the ratio of negative/positive has very little external validity to the true negative/positive experience ratio. I'm not talking about ratios of good to bad, I'm talking about absolute values. Does it exist or not? Yes, discrimination exists. /u/wraeclast_exile said that there's no… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 07/11/17 08:13 PM
| -2 | Why get a degree when you can bitch online? It doesn't automatically mean there's misogyny, but it's more than a "shred of evidence". There's been plenty written about the experiences of women in STEM and how they leave the field because it can be an unwelcoming/discriminatory environment. Having fewer women in power is a result of that, and also contributes to that. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 07/11/17 05:46 PM |
| -1 | Why get a degree when you can bitch online? However, lack of "female leadership" is irrelevant. We don't need female leadership. Females aren't trying to get into STEM that much, so what does it matter? Those things are tied together. If you have all-male leadership, you may have people who care less about preventing sexual harassment or other kinds of discrimination against women, which in turn makes the field less hospitable to women. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 07/11/17 05:44 PM |
Why get a degree when you can bitch online? Can't tell if you're joking or not. There's plenty of sexual harassment and lack of female leadership in STEM, just like in most places. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 07/11/17 06:39 AM

Are white knights overwhelming Seddit?Well... her boyfriend not liking it seems to be pretty intuitive, no? It'd have to be a negligibly exceptional case for that to not be indisputable. Whether or not she'll regret it, that's more of a toss-up. I agree that in the end it comes down to "This goes against my moral code", which may mean absolutely nothing to the person you're addressing. Expressing our own moral opinions is our only means of affecting other people's moral opinions though; we build our morality largely out of social co… | /r/seduction | 04/07/12 05:31 PM
Are white knights overwhelming Seddit?Hrm? Well that's more of a rule than a critique, which is why I used the word "improve". Let me try again on your template: "When picking up women, if you sleep with one who has a boyfriend, her boyfriend won't like it and she might regret it, so you should try to avoid it." How's that? Of course that leaves out the part of whether it concerns you or not that other people will be affected by your actions, but for this rule we'll leave it implied that it does. | /r/seduction | 04/07/12 04:52 PM
Are white knights overwhelming Seddit? Not like in the old days when people used to Google all the time. Back in the old country my parents would Google for five hours a day, at least. /s Edit: typo | /r/seduction | 04/07/12 04:37 PM
Are white knights overwhelming Seddit?"A good way to improve yourself as a moral person would be to avoid seducing someone who already has a boyfriend." Is that a valid, positive rewording? | /r/seduction | 04/07/12 04:34 PM
Are white knights overwhelming Seddit?I agree, this particular issue is pretty contentious; I personally err on the side of taking more responsibility, but I know reasonable people may disagree. It's more the general meta-idea being espoused that morality shouldn't factor into seddit at all that turns me off, in combination with the little things here and there. Thanks for your consideration though. | /r/seduction | 04/07/12 04:28 PM
Are white knights overwhelming Seddit?Yeah... seddit has definitely opened my mind to some things, and over time I've become defensive about it when people trivialize PUA as being all about negging and peacocking, but there's definitely a low standard of morality here that always bothers me. I think this post is my sign to unsubscribe... I'd much rather keep my moral judgements and lose out on some sex, in the long run. Too bad. | /r/seduction | 04/07/12 03:59 AM
[FR] Don't buy girls drinks.. lesson learned!I just make a point of pre-gaming with a few beers or shots whenever I go out; I'll still have to get drinks outside but hopefully fewer. Obviously you don't want to overdo it though and end your night early. | /r/seduction | 18/04/12 07:31 PM

Can we stop trying to help foreveralone now?Isn't this stereotyping of an entire subreddit based on a few members just as bad as them stereotyping all of seddit? | /r/seduction | 08/04/12 12:26 AM
Sometimed /b/tards give the best advice. Got this off of 4chan...Best seduction guide I have ever seen.I dunno, someone who was already my good friend. It's safe to act like anyone who has cheated is the devil and should be dropped - that gives you better odds of not getting screwed over, but it's selfish and short-sighted. People are people and can do stupid and really bad things, without making them really bad people. From my experience, I one-off cheated on a long-term girlfriend when I was younger; it was a terrible thing to do, and I made my gf and later future gfs, and friends, aware of it.… | /r/seduction | 11/03/12 09:03 PM
Sometimed /b/tards give the best advice. Got this off of 4chan...Best seduction guide I have ever seen.Yeah, for sure. But... you shouldn't have a universal rule to not have female friends because it's bad for hooking up. That's just a bad idea. | /r/seduction | 09/03/12 02:57 AM
| -8 | Sometimed /b/tards give the best advice. Got this off of 4chan...Best seduction guide I have ever seen.Stopped reading pretty early on... I see the point but it's too simplistic. Cutting off anyone who friendzones you and immediately dumping anyone who cheats on you seems like a good idea if you're liable to be taken advantage of, but not if you can handle yourself and you want to be a decent human being and treat women as such. | /r/seduction | 08/03/12 07:31 PM |
An interesting example of not showing self-respect when under a one-itis (xpost from r/4chan). The translation part is pretty accurate.I agree with your idea, which is why I said it might not be ideal but I know it's how I would react. I'd feel rude just saying ttyl, and that's not really in my repertoire. | /r/seduction | 01/03/12 05:09 AM
An interesting example of not showing self-respect when under a one-itis (xpost from r/4chan). The translation part is pretty accurate.personally I'd say: her: I'm sorry anon please don't hate me! me: lol I don't, no worries. ttyl Not saying that's ideal, just exactly how I would react. ttyl, end of convo. What he said instead left the conversation open - there's no way she could have not responded to it. And there's no reason to leave that conversation open. | /r/seduction | 01/03/12 04:14 AM
How to become a less boring person?I think it depends on your audience. Different people will appreciate different degrees of silliness; in my experience, there are some people I'll be completely straight with or have a more bro-y sense of humor with, and some people (particularly girls, but some guys too) who will eat up random shit and laugh at every bit of it. I think you just have to be attentive to how people react to you and acting differently around different people (not in a fake way, just in a know-your-audience way) sho… | /r/seduction | 17/01/12 04:02 PM

Limiting BeliefsThat's actually a really good point - if anything this study as an allegory could be used to support the carrying on of tradition/norms. It would've been more striking if they noted that the scientists had turned off the water at some point. | /r/seduction | 29/10/11 07:32 PM
So I had my first kiss last night. At 19. There's still hope, forever aloners.I definitely understand that. My first kiss was a pretty grimy spin the bottle game, my first lay was equally non-romantic, and I'm a pretty romantic guy. It's not magical but, I don't really care; that's life. You'll have plenty of time for romance in the future; just have fun and get experience now, if you want. | /r/seduction | 10/10/11 12:38 AM
