Unfortunately, we live in a society and we can't do it alone. We also owe a lot to society, whether it's schools or hospitals or roads and so many other things. I think it's healthy to set boundaries, and you shouldn't sacrifice your identity or your values for society, but part of being human is finding your place in the world. That's part of fulfillment. You'll be happier if you can find that rather than attempt to isolate yourself from the rest of us.

Keep in mind that the average age of a Ukrainian soldier was 48, at least a year or two ago. So even the older guys don't have the entrenchment in society to avoid being sent to the killzones. But I'm sure if you go to Kiev there are plenty of affluent elite twenty somethings partying it up in clubs while some peasant from the outskirts dies in Donbas.

I think a lot of men drift to the right because they feel like people don't respect them or give a damn about their problems or struggles. The answer is not saying, "wow you guys are terrible I never want to associate with you". It's listening and trying to come to an understanding with people, no matter what they believe. So I'm expected to be the one looking out for women who've been abused by men. Who's looking out for me? Who cares about men who are lonely or left behind by society? We're just told to deal with our own problems, be a man, etc. Fine, that's great. Let's apply that to everyone then.

How exactly does "helping males" equate to letting trans women go to female prisons? If so, why don't we just send all males to female prisons? But I do agree that the future of men is in our hands. Fascinating read. I'm not fully surprised having seen a similar passage in Beyond Good and Evil. I've had the feeling that I don't fully understand women, how they think, what makes them tick, why they say what they do, really since going through puberty.
