Learning about the alt right was indeed quite the surprise. Their views are so extreme they would probably all be in jail in my country.

What's wrong with reducing or eliminating expectations of someone? If I expect great intellectual conversation from a child I'm probably going to be disappointed. If I focus on fun and wind up in a great intellectual conversation anyway I'll be pleasantly surprised. If you want a girl to just have fun with you are free to date one. Personally while I don't want my relationships to consist of 100 % intellectual stimulus and politics debates I also like girls who I can discuss serious subjects wit…

Why so negative? If we cheat more, we are the bestest at cheating

Yes. My point was that it takes more to confirm the red pill theory than the fact that women find muscular men with clearly defined jaws attractive.

My mistake. I only skimmed through your posts and somehow missed that part. keep it fun, don't take it too seriously when they have a minor complaint, lead the interaction if you want to get anything done What you're describing here doesn't sound bad at all. But if you summarize that as "treating her like a child" that may come across very differently. Keep it fun? I don't often engage in meaningful conversation with children because they obviously aren't my intellectual equal yet. So women are …

And how would it be beneficial for a man to interact with his woman as if she was a child which she clearly isn't? Isn't it likely that at some point the woman will be offended as she isn't taken seriously?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/16 06:14 PM

But the red pill does not just describe which body type women find attractive.

What's the difference between commercials, TV shows etc. constantly depicting men as sex-obsessed, superficial morons and TRP depicting women as status-obsessed, superficial snakes? You're only seeing what you want to see there. What's depicted in TV shows is common stereotypes of both men and women. Depending on what show you watch you will also get the fighting alpha male saving his damsel in distress or his family. Other shows again also depict superficial naive stupid women. In contrast the …

Women have been free to choose their sexual partners since the 20s'ish. About 100 years is more than enough time. I said women fuel pretty much all, not ALL. Enough time to fuel social change for a hundred years. We as a society obviously were not stuck with the same moral code and the same beliefs until women got to freely choose their partners. What about the enlightenment or the labor movement? Both had great influence on our society and both were introduced mainly by male intellectuals. Do y…

Yes I agree. The fat acceptance movement was an example, nothing more. I think specific societal "norms" like homophobia really don't benefit anyone and therefore deserve to be abolished. With fat people I don't really look down on them but I am not attracted to an obese woman either. One also has more control over his bodyweight than over his sexual preferences.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/16 09:03 PM
1

There are no laws that discriminate them. That's why I brought it up of course. Cause you said people just fought unfair laws and discrimination, not social pressure. So I gave an example of people who aren't missing any rights at all but are still campaigning against perceived social pressure. And I don't care if their movement is justified or not. They were just the first example that came to mind. Other example would be modern day feminists of course, who are often complaining about gender ro…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/16 08:02 PM
1

You are right about that. Though receiving the rights to do something (for example marriage for homosexuals) also means making it more acceptable of course. One example of campaigning that has nothing to do with missing rights would be that fat acceptance movement thing
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/16 06:31 PM
1

If you don't want to be what society expects you to be, you will likely choose not to adapt, not fail at doing so. But when I said "fight social pressure" I mostly meant campaigning against and complaining about societal norms, which seems to have worked well for some people
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/16 04:39 PM
4

One thing that now came to mind would be shaming homosexuals. Not sure if you could call that a societal norm but I don't see how anyone in our modern society could really benefit from this. It's not like we are an endangered species and need to reproduce like crazy in which case shaming gay men and women into sleeping with each other could be beneficial
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/16 02:22 PM
1

I don't know. It's why I added the disclaimer not beneficial to either individuals or society. I guess some social norms could be argued to be outdated and thus more harmful to society rather than helpful. I have no idea which ones I'm talking about though.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/16 02:19 PM
7

Ok. But that's not a reason not to fight social pressure and prejudice or as you put it "shame the sea into giving you a smoother ride". Sure we as individuals can rise above these expectations given by society and go our own way, but as long as this social pressure is not beneficial to either individuals or society, there is no reason to preserve it. Unless we buy into "what does not kill you makes you stronger" but using that you can justify all kinds of things.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/16 02:09 PM

Agree on most of that. Not sure if you actually need to have any kind of mental illness to be incel although for many it's surely a contributing facor. I think if you are brought up in a bad way though, perhaps live a rather secluded life during your teenage years, it doesn't take any bad genes to end up in that situation. But I don't know for sure of course. Not a psychologist.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/16 11:09 PM
2

I am not sure I agree with you on that. Some may be born with mental illness. For others I believe it has more to do with socialization. A lack of experience during their teens and now it's even harder for them to gain that experience with women since most women are not looking for an inexperienced socially inept guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/16 10:52 PM
3

Ok but then we as a society shouldn't move in the opposite direction. We should just leave the situation be and not interfere at all. Also if it's natural selection at work, wouldn't that mean incels are genetically predisposed to be incels? Because otherwise the human gene pool wouldn't really benefit from this kind of natural selection, no?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/16 10:40 PM
4

The opposite direction? So make sure they don't reproduce?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/16 10:23 PM
2

No. Globalisation has made life harder for the majority of people though. Sure the "winners" of globalisation, the ones profitting most from it, have it even better now. Rich got richer, poor got even poorer. And your average worker deserves a decent existance as well at the very least. As for feminism there are other reasons it has faced staunch opposition in recent years. Some of them may be down to misunderstanding, others are entirely justified.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/16 10:19 PM
2

Well he shouldn't criticize that. We can't all be rich entrepreneurs in this society. If we were there wouldn't be any poor for your father to make money off.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/16 10:04 PM

I don't think being an alpha male implies having any kind of intellect
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/16 09:52 PM

Basically he likes globalisation because he profits from it and it allows him to better make money off the poor? That's a good enough reason for him but shows why the majority of people aren't too happy about it.

Yes but your own theory contradicts your other theory of women always loving and supporting each other.

Would like a moneyless society. But I don't at all agree with the reasoning given in your post. It basically ascribes any work being done to the male wanting to keep his power rather than economic necessity forcing him to work. Also plays into the stupid idea of "patriarchy" since apparently men as a group could just abandon our current societal model and create a new utopian one they just don't do it to keep women oppressed. And finally this is the polar opposite of the red pill. According to S…

Which is very worrying cause according to that hypothesis we are discussing here now all men will become hot but useless jagoffs. They will get their dick wet but it will be the end of civilization as we know it. But seriously. Sure being able to provide for a wife was almost a necessity for getting one some decades ago. But having your life in order and not being a total failure comes with other benefits as well. Cause society punishes you for being useless whether you have a girl or not. And f…

Do you actually believe all great men ever did was to impress women or was that some clever sarcasm I missed? Were they all a bunch of incels who couldn't get their dick wet the regular way? I hope you also judge women for being useless risk averse dead weight men literally had to drag into civilization. Women kept pumping out men. Men kept pumping out civilization. Division of labour.

And as for your question for blue pill: No way for me to know whether those were real victims. Perhaps those girls just thought they were supposed to get all teary and sentimental and thus came off as acting. Or perhaps being raped by your father at age 12 is much more traumatizing than what the others experienced. Or maybe they were really lying and they were just drunk. All information I have is the account of a reddit user, I didn't even attend this event myself. So no way for me to know real…

Good post in terms of content at least. I agree with your reasoning, if fear/anxiety gets both men and women aroused then orgasming during rape likely has little to do with an evolutionary preference of dominant males for sex. It's sad you probably won't get many responses cause you made your case very well. Should have started out with the red pill posts perhaps and then added the scientific citations to prove them wrong. Also a tl;dr could have been of help.

If mgtow were truly taking a hiatus from women perhaps incels could benefit from joining the community. As it is though they just come off as frustrated with women and spend all day complaining about women. Could have stayed on the incel subs for that. All that's different is now they are claiming how they never wanted what they didn't get anyway. I agree with some of your other points. Possibly. For whatever reason a majority of white women at least voted Trump. If women truly love each other so much and always support each other, why not vote for one of their own as president?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/16 08:16 PM
2

The whole women need to empower each other comes from feminism. Some men believe women are not capable of being strong or successful or whatever and so women give each other an extra pat on the back, if they prove them wrong. But other than that women won't really help each other out just because they are women. Just see the election. Why did so many women vote for Trump after his pussy grab remark if they always have each other's back? Why isn't Clinton president now with 99% of the women's vot…

Meant to say the majority of guys? They don't have high standards but they have ideals. If they were to describe a perfect wife they would also ascribe her a lot of hard to attain characteristics. They usually settle for less though and that's what I was saying about girls. They might want a rich tall James Bond and if you asked them to desribe their perfect man, that's what they will go for, but in reality most settle for less

women also love women I have never heard anyone say that. The far more common cliche is women being fierce competitors and rivals when it comes to stuff like relationships at least. Perhaps you are getting that impression from feminists who are a minority of women.

It's not and many men end up with someone like that. I think the red pill focuses a lot on the worst aspects of female nature and that's what you are now focusing on too. If you come here every day and read about fake rape claims or women's incredibly high standards, of course that bitterness isn't gonna go away. In my opinion "not all women are like that". Women fuel pretty much all social change in society so an reversion to gender roles is due to women sexually selecting for men that fulfill traditional "toxic" masculinity, hence TRP. Are you saying that all social change is achieved by sexual selection? If anything that could only be true in a society which allows women to freely choose their partners which over the course of history has not always been the case. Even then it seems far fetched. It gets kind of complicated here. I think we should finally abandon all those lovely metaphors. How are red pillers and blue pillers swimming laps, comparing notes, when the reds are supposed to be either building the ark or in the ark? Maybe I'm just tired now. Anyways I was not talking about whether the blue pill argument has any merit. You called me out on the following quote Well yes. What could be argued here is of course that the red pill way - building a raft - is morally reprehensible. W…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/16 01:36 AM

How is that all too different from the following? The only way you could discourage a red piller who has had success using red pill advice is by telling them either that the red pill way is morally wrong or that it will lead to unhappiness in the future. Blue pillers usually do both. This was essentially my argument from the very beginning. Red pill advice is going to work for some people. Hence why blue pillers need to argue that using the red pill raft/ark/whatever is morally reprehensible.

Nice metaphor as well but it doesn't quite work here. While for many people getting the girl/crossing the river is relatively trivial and they accomplish it at some point, for others it's not that easy. It is a fallacy to assume the red pill way of crossing the river is the only or even the best one. But if at some point lonely men find the ark built by the red pill and use it how to argue they shouldn't have done so? It is reasonable to assume that for some guys red pill advice has worked. So w…

It's out there and so common obviously because it makes a lot of sense. The red pill offers advice on dating and maintaining relationships. Beyond that it also claims to offer the very best advice, that's part of the red pill/blue pill dichotomy of seeing the supposed truth or living in your fantasy world. However there is no evidence beyond a few anecdotes that red pillers actually have happier relationships than average men who figure out dating by themselves. Given the bold claims made by the…

At the end of the day, blue pillers are just sitting with their arms crossed jeering at red pillers because all of them haven't crossed the river, even though the blues have done nothing to help. I think it's kind of disingenuous to fault blue pillers for that. r/thebluepill is not supposed to be an alternative to the red pill sub, its goal is simply to make fun of and oppose the red pill. As I said there are other sources of advice and many books written for dating. Why should the r/thebluepill…

It's true that criticism doesn't need to be constructive; it's useful to point out something is wrong even if you don't have a better alternative. But at some point one's credibility wears thin if all they do is bitch and never have anything of substance to contribute themselves. Eventually you have to try something, and at least the people being criticized are attempting to generate useful ideas. This assumes there is a genuine problem at hand that only the red pill provides a solution for. Say…

I don't think the alt right is less collectivist just because the group that is to benefit is smaller. I have read arguments on r/altright about how people in interracial relationships are selfish and don't think about the greater good for their race. That's literally putting the group above the goals and interests of the individual. In all honesty I see what you are saying. There are multiple ways to define the red pill and what you seem to prefer is a) opposition to mainstream ideology and b) …

The alt-right is also a subset of general red pill... this just further proves my point. If anything it proves we have very different definitions of the red pill and the blue pill. The alt right can be considered red pilled if that just means disagreeing with the mainstream. However the alt right is also a very collectivist ideology, just focused on race rather than society as a whole. If the alt right is a subset of the red pill we cannot define blue pill/red pill as the dichotomy of collectivi…

I disagree. RP is not simply the sub, that would be trivial. The sub and anyone with similar ideas and opinions. In the context of PPD this is what the red pill refers to at least. BPers say trump is a RPer He has not given me any indication to believe he is. Blue pillers like to label anyone who does not treat women with the utmost respect a red piller as well. There are only two positions on this spectrum of beliefs. No there are most definitely more positions to take. And if we believe in the dichotomy of blue pill and red pill then obviously blue pill entails every stance that disagrees with the red pill. I am not quite sure if I understood your metaphor correctly. Using your TV example on red pill/blue pill we certainly could describe blue pill as "off". However "off" allows for a far broader spectrum of beliefs than "on" does. A red piller is someone who agrees with and believes in red pill ideology, which is defined by red pill theory and does not allow for too much leeway. A blue piller is essentially someone who disagrees with the red pill, someone who rejects a certain set of beliefs. But b…

We are talking about all those Internet mgtows on Reddit and elsewhere, aren't we? So you implied that those just can't get pussy and therefore are not true mgtow, right? Which I said may be true or false and we can't really know.

I see. I can agree with that first line although I don't think a universal definition of what being mgtow means exists. Your definition implies a far more desirable way of living though than mine. And when Terman assessed gender differences in 1916 using the Stanford-Binet test girls obtained a slightly higher average IQ (though not a significant difference). One example would be the reliance on evolutionary psychology to explain many facets of human behaviour whether it makes sense or not. How the red pill emphasizes that we are all animals just very intelligent ones ignoring that our capability for rational thoughts allows us to forego biological impulses. This reliance on unproven biology and disregard of nurture also allows for a lot of generalizations usually depicting women in a very negative way and enables a very regressive mindset in general…

The biological desire is to reproduce. Having sex with as many females as you can is just the means to an end, the easy solution. Humans thought about it and reached the conclusion that while being good to pick the best genes it wasn't so good for long term survival. Monogamy appeared and then we multiplied and dominated the planet. Monogamy doesn't depend on biology, is kind of a silent agreement. Yes and similarly humans can forego other biological impulses whether it's necessary for the survi…

That's not how it works. People are not either retarded, average or genius. A well-known study showing higher IQ variability among males is the analysis of the Scottish mental survey of 1932 with 80.000 assessed children. Approximately 0,3 % of these 80.000 had an IQ of 140 and of those 58 % were boys. Similarly more boys than girls had an IQ of 70. No the tests were always rigged. The Stanford-Binet was created with eliminating gender differences in mind. And that was long before feminism or political correctness gained any power. IQ is not natural intelligence, g (g-factor; general intelligence) is supposed to be natural intelligence. All IQ tests attempt to measure g among other things but some are more "g-loaded" than others. Now whether either IQ or g are a good measure of intelligence itself is for others to decide. In the end g measures only your ability to process information while IQ incorporates some other learned abilities like verbal intelligence or spatial ability.

I don't think red pill education always reflects reality but I see your point.

I agree with you in almost everything you said, in the end I think we need to generalize humans enough to understand whats going on, but always leaving space for the individual's experience. I can agree on that for the most part. I just believe some of the red pill's generalizations are very wrong. However generalizations or prejudice can be helpful whether it's for getting a date or to avoid a dangerous neighborhood even though many of the people living there are probably very decent. Its ratio…

I have never seen a woman give good dating advice to a man. I believe that out there a woman exists that would give amazing and truly useful advice, but its a rare phenomenon. I have no idea. I have never tried to enact the dating advice I have been given by girls ... Also notice that the arguments of TRP cater to biological triggers for attractiveness and not to particular individual interest's That's what the red pill claims to be doing. Of course the red pill idea of alpha manliness has to be…

Apparently not that easy for everyone. Otherwise there wouldn't be any blue pillers claiming that women want nice guys. I think this is a case where red pillers are victim of confirmation bias.

I am aware of the red pill's arguments for the most part. There are of course innate differences between the sexes, although there is some overlap in masculine women and feminine men. However some of the differences suggested by the red pill are made up. My main point was though that while there are of course differences between men and women as groups, the members of said groups are not identical either. Thus I cannot conclude that all women are looking for the very same thing in a man as was s…

women love personality and just want nice guys I wouldn't agree with that one. It's my belief that women are individuals, some of whom will prefer nice guys, while others will go for the so-called alpha male and others again will be more interested in their partner's wealth rather than his personality. I disagree with the Red pill mainly in their attempts to apply generalizations on half the world's population because I believe that neither men nor women are all driven by the same motivations.

Don't think that's really comparable with angry manosphere guys. It was not young men specifically who were disenfranchised and unhappy with their leaders. Also I would wager religious beliefs were important in sustaining the uprisings of Arab spring

It seems the blue pill people are funnier. If you look at the blue pill posts those things are funny as hell and a lot of the red pill people are sad and angry. If you are talking about the blue pill subreddit, it is literally based on making fun of the red pill. I would hope we (if I should count myself among them) at least somewhat succeed in doing so.

Minority dude here who voted Trump - any group as big as the alt-right will have it's share of extremists. Yes just like the Nazi party contained its fair share of fascists. https://www.reddit.com/r/subredditoftheday/comments/5cq9l6/november_13th_2016_raltright_reddits_very_own/ This is how r/altright presented itself as subreddit of the day a week ago. Perhaps their moderators are not the best spokespersons for the alt right, but they still link to websites like daily stormer or amren.com as al…

Painting the other gender as privileged by society and making them this elite 'other' does nothing but create resentment between the two sides of the gender debate. The reality is most men's lives aren't that great and the same is true for women. Very true. It seems to me for both feminists and MRAs the grass is always greener on the other side.

History shows you Disenfranchise young men in large enough numbers, they begin to take But that would lead to conflict, wouldn't it? Also which events in history are you talking about specifically?

Will WW3 start as a culture clash between feminazis and the manosphere? I had never considered this possibility before. Always thought it would be Russia, the US and China at each other's throats.

After all, she’s subject to female evolutionary impulses of “getting the best genes” for her offspring, while he’s subject to male evolutionary impulses of “spreading his seed.” If we go with the biological perspective, both genders reasons for cheating are on par. Dual mating strategy goes both ways. While I agree with your argument here I would like to add that new scientific evidence does not necessarily support the idea of "promiscuous males and choosy females". http://www.npr.org/sections/1…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
