DW -- Dealing with a few bellend extraordinaires at family gatherings is at most a minor inconvenience.

DWShimoda -- If someone gave me your level of disrespect in my own home, I'd calmly ask them to leave, and never would speak to them again. If you were working for me, you'd be fired on the spot, no explanation given. The OP mentioned that he feels like shit when family has an attitude with him. I know that feel. A relative, noticing your happiness, may attempt to be a turd in the punchbowl by doing something to make you agitated, like bringing up politics and implicitly attacking your beliefs. …

NOTHING you can say that will make you a victor This also applies for life in general. No one in the history of mankind has ever won an argument. If someone is doing something you don't like, implicitly offer them the carrot and the stick. "Right now this is making me feel like X, but I would feel this way if you did Y." Now they're jumping through your hoops.

Sounds like you need boundaries. If you're living on your own with a solid job this shouldn't be an issue at all. When you're visiting, if family brings up something annoying, gracefully change the subject.

Wrong. AWALT. Gotta be bait, with the pedo-ish stuff, marriage being great in the recent past, clumsy pseudo-science about DNA errors, etc.

People are just living way beyond their means, and then blaming corporations for their profligate spending decisions.

Nice Guy shaming has been a thing in every culture throughout human history. Except in white countries after 1970, where men are taught to act like women. Good riddance to the nice guy.

"For you and I, the trick is to remember that you are the prize. You are the one being pursed." The prize? More like on the menu, something to be devoured and/or discarded.

I agree with the sentiment, but not with the words. Alpha technically means exactly someone who gets first dibs on the most desirable females. It is a biological term. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_(ethology) You're confusing the descriptive with the prescriptive and the axiological.

This is not an innate behavior; this is learned, feminist brainwashing. If a woman isn't sucking your dick, you shouldn't care about her more than you would a man. End of story.

It is definitely seen as a positive thing. Dudes envy your freedom; women envy your bank account. Misery loves company. Don't let negative people get their negativity in your head.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
