Yes, but for another primary reason than the white knights. Because it would not have been right to interfere. If someone is willing to instigate a violent fight they ought to take the beat up that might come with it.

This is mostly true for grown ups, but not necessarily true for children and early teenagers. Some women both weight and are a lot stronger than boys. And yes I know, not on average, but all humans aren't the average human.

It depends on how the word normal is being used here. You're right that it is not normal in the way that a majority of people is not attracted to the same sex as themselves, but on the other hand it has always been normal that about 10% of a human population has been attracted to someone of the same sex.
