Makes so much sense. the less oppressed the group is and the less severe the grievance, the more radicalized they are. Smaller grievances are more severely felt than larger grievances. Did Hoffman elaborate why? After all, it's rather counterintuitive, although I've observed the same thing.

Maybe. But IMO shitty members of one's gender are the worst enemies. For us the men, it'd be guys who harass women, don't know when to stop pursuing somebody, etc. If some woman seemed at guard or slow to trust or simply overreacting, you can thank those dickheads. And, of course, there are shitty women who turn men into bona fide misogynists.

Breaking down the gender stereotypes is the best way of ensuring equality between genders. It's tough, though. We can't just take down thousands of movies, songs and other forms of popular entertainment that perpetuate the stereotypes. Not to mention most parents of both genders want their children to conform.

First, empathy != being forced to marry somebody. The original topic is that feminists don't have empathy or sympathy for men who commit suicide and the fact that they die 7 years earlier on average. From a coldly objective perspective, suicide could be considered a "poor decision." Men dying years earlier could be partially attributed to being more likely to get into violent, dangerous or simply unhealthy activities. Those could be avoided by better decision making. In reality, some people, reg…

Actually the woman was charged with battery. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/bal-ray-rice-arrest-incident-report-pdf-20140216,0,4649635.htmlpage Too tired right now to look up what happened to the charge against her. I assume it was dropped because her action pales in comparison to Ray Rice's.

Funny, I came across a Reddit post discussing this (the Brits coating bullets in pig fat). Turned out that it's an urban myth.

Literally most (80%+?) of the 30+ single women I know are fat and broke. Just don't marry them. Let them live with the consequences of their own poor life choices. And somebody here complained about a lack of empathy for men? What am I missing?

Right. Also, the experiment encouraged MUTUAL eye contact which likely resulted in more intimacy felt than if only one party was told about the lazy eye. Of course, eye contact is generally good. But it can get creepy fast if the interest wasn't mutual. Use common sense, blah blah.

You just proved my point. :) Overcoming AA is just the first step. If you think it's the most important aspect, okay - we all speak for ourselves. The reason I commented in the first place is because you made it seem like, "Overcome AA then you're all good!" Sorry if I misunderstood you.
/r/seduction09/01/14 03:52 AM

If you can handle that then even the worst guy in the world will eventually get a girlfriend. Not true. Overcoming AA is actually the first and easiest step to attaining that.

Women have said they don't like being hit on at gyms, because they go there to work out and nothing else. I can certainly appreciate that because I don't like it either when fellas try to get friendly with me (non-sexually, of course). That said, randy88moss's advice seems legit because it's a low key kind of approach.

Seems it's a myth that we benefit more from free weights, according to research. I go with free anyway - working out with machines just feels weird to me.

Interesting indeed. Not too hard to see how not living with an actual female human being roughly your age might lead to certain amount of naïveté. Seems fairly obvious but amazing how nobody had really mentioned it before - the psychologists, the social scientists, etc.

That's interesting. I'm an only child and used to fall in love with every cute chick I got to know. Time and experience took care of that, though.

Try to sneak in. The first few ones should be very low key such as touching her back as you guide her through a crowd or to wherever you want to take her, high fives, touching her arm when she says something poignant, etc.

In psychology, it's recognized that people are most motivated when they have only ~50% chance of success. So we tend to be most interested in women who show some but not too much interest. The same goes for them as well.

Yup. The toughest thing for me is to stop drinking after 3-4 shots. I'm a social alcoholic - I don't drink a drop during the week, but drink vodka like water in bars and parties. Not sure what you meant by "1/4-1/2 a fifth" though. A fifth of what? A 750ml bottle?

I don't get the complaints. It's definitely a cool, fun frame to work from. I've done it (spontaneously) and it's probably my best way to open. No idea how well it'd work if the attitude was preplanned though.

I get you. The odds of you connecting with a random chick on a genuine level is pretty low. I've talked with a few chicks abt what percentage of guys they feel connected to, and the avg seems to be around 10-20% for educated ladies... Prolly a bit higher for everyday women. that's reality, no biggie.

You have to expect that in any Internet forum. I do get what you're saying (like you apparently, I'm not exactly a beginner), but that's pretty an asshole thing to say to somebody who struggles with those things. If you don't like what you see, just steer to subreddits or forums that's more to your level. Nothing's stopping you.

Oh man. I find your comments hilarious. In a good way, no worries. I forgot how much time is compressed for the young - 2 years is nothing to me, yet it's unfathomable eternity to the 16 year olds.

Yep, this article is just what a lot of too-nice guys need. I got curious and read a coupla more articles in the site. The thing is I can't figure if it's for real or a parody of frat guys. For instance: http://totalfratmove.com/812577

I see what you mean. Let's say you are a big shot in your scene (male equivalent of a hot babe) and a girl at some party offers to suck your dick, like RIGHT AWAY upon meeting for the first time. You have no idea how slutty she is with other guys. But you can't help it but go with "if it walks and quacks like a duck..." Of course, it isn't the ONLY reason a woman might not want to sleep with or date you, but the writer made a damn good point.

It's just an illustration of contrasts. I don't think she literally means sex is all we want and love is all women want.

Rules for myself that work: -NEVER focus on yourself, except to make assessments for improvement (when doing that, always have a pen and a notebook ready - once you write them down and the step-by-step plans to deal with them, focus on those action steps but never ruminate about those problems again) -understand that problems are illusions - perceptions (other people's and yours) are ultimately illusionary -your default mode should be radiating warmth and good vibes into the world, not problem-d…

I'm kinda like the OP. I'm 5-10 and weighed measly 130ish until I was 22. Once I ate more & worked out more seriously, I saw a big difference in women's responses to me. However, I've been stuck at around 155 for a good few years. My question for you: you didn't say what your starting weight was, but I assume it's much lower than 180. Did you continually get better results as you moved up pounds-wise? Or did you hit a (pleasant) plateau once you were at 165 or 170 or so? Am curious because I'm n…
