Another huge sign of PPD. Maybe I'm wrong and it's not specifically PPD but refusing to go to therapy or counseling is a major red flag that something is going on with her hormones and/or mental health. If I were you I'd strongly suggest seeing a therapist to talk about what is going on. If the first therapist sucks trt another one. It's worth it. I don't think you should give up on her unless she chooses to not address the issue for a set period of time. Therapist might be able to guide you on …

Sounds like a cry for help. I'd bet $1,000 she has post partum depression or maybe even slipping into post partum psychosis. It's happened to someone I know and they were in denial about it but basically they were really irritable and said things they didn't mean, had a lot of anger, etc. In other words if she does not seem like herself and she had a baby in the past couple of years she needs to talk to someone.

Any chance this could be post-partum depression?

The expectations are up to you. Me personally, it's on a need to know basis. If it doesn't involve her or he kids I simply say it's private. If she presses I say it doesn't involve her or the kids and it's private. She'll get mad but if you're still being amicable and you're not saying it to be an asshole then she will get over it.

Once you accept it's over and start working toward what your life will look like post-divorce, a huge weight will be lifted from your shoulders. Men are so conditioned to want to make their spouses happy. It makes us feel good. But we can't control how anyone else feels about us. Accept it, don't become bitter, don't fall for the manipulation and don't let her bait you into arguments. Do what you have to do to move on and be the best version of yourself, whatever that looks like to you. It's ok …

I mean... most guys don't know about it until it happens to them or one of their closest friends. Get your meds checked.

Don't let it bother you. Easier said than done, I'm sure. But it doesn't really matter what she says, does it? Like what does it actually change? Most people take what bitter exes say with a grain of salt anyway. No one who has ever been married thinks it's just one side's fault (generally speaking).

Yeah I can relate. 3 are in school one still a couple years away. Probably biding her time til the last one is in school too. I don't suspect any physical affairs although you never really know. But she loves attention from other dudes which she never cared about before. Acts flirtatious with them right in front of me sometimes. Enrages me but if I express how I feel she's wildly inappropriate I'm being insecure and controlling. And I'm like uh... Yeah I'm being insecure and controlling because …

True. I think I have been a little naive. To me there's no reason to lie, if you want a divorce go for it. But now that I think about it she's going to get a decent amount of money soon. Maybe she's biding her time. Trying not to be paranoid, I don't want to blow things up because I have a hunch, but you're right her actions speak louder than her words.

Yeah. I'm proud of the hard work I've done to support our family and allow us to live on one income so she can be a SAHM. I have really tried to make her happy. It's the lack of respect that is killing me. There are many many many situations where she does stuff to me that she'd never do to her friends and I can't comprehend it. I'm not perfect but I think our intentions are totally opposite.

Yeah she's done some other stuff that I suspect was on purpose to try to get me riled up. I used to fall for it, I'm getting better at ignoring it or at least bringing it up in a respectful way. I guess I don't know why she's doing it, if she is doing it on purpose. She's terrified about custody, wants sole custody, has no basis for it, maybe she's trying to make me snap and get violent or something. I don't think she's that diabolical?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
