/r/Mensrights I need your help! My sexist (ex) boss has just made a new rule banning ALL MALES from being hired SIMPLY FOR BEING MALES.Mentioning "illegal", "lawsuit", or possibly "discrimination" will likely end the phone call. | /r/MensRights | 09/04/14 07:21 PM
Excellent post about women "harmlessly" hitting men. (x-post r/bestof)That was going on as well, but I constrained my post to the physical abuse instead of all the shitty things that were going on. The part that doesn't seem like it will ever go away is the person you are trying to build a life with tell you that you are broken and worthless for being narcoleptic and taking a nap all afternoon once every week or two. That same fight featured a person who has had a rough life, including child molestation, tell me that I was the worst thing that had ever happened to… | /r/MensRights | 28/08/13 08:53 PM
Shrink4Men, a website for men who have and are in abusive relationships.I'm glad too. It seemed really dark there for a while. | /r/MensRights | 25/07/13 11:53 PM
Shrink4Men, a website for men who have and are in abusive relationships.tl;dr: This website was what brought me to the MRM, gave me valuable advice on extricating myself from an abusive marriage, and I highly recommend it to people looking to either escape or repair an abusive relationship. My marriage was going poorly in Spring of 2012. My (now ex)-wife told me that I was depressed and my depression was the cause of hers and demanded I start seeing a therapist or she was going to leave. I started researching local therapists to find a good one, and I found one that… | /r/MensRights | 25/07/13 03:11 PM
Excellent post about women "harmlessly" hitting men. (x-post r/bestof)After that meeting, I refused to be around her except in public and with my phone recording our conversation. Before she said that, I was willing to continue to pay her living expenses for a few more months so she could finish out the school year and was going to wait to divorce her for a few more months so she could get some medical issues taken care of while still on my insurance. Afterwards, I gave her 30 days to get out or start paying the rent herself and filed for divorce within a week. | /r/MensRights | 25/07/13 02:21 PM
Excellent post about women "harmlessly" hitting men. (x-post r/bestof)That was long ago, long before our marriage ended. At the end, she did make a point of telling me that her mother was advising her to make false DV claims against me to gain leverage, and if I didn't want her to do that, I should give her more of what she wanted in the divorce. | /r/MensRights | 22/07/13 03:25 PM
Excellent post about women "harmlessly" hitting men. (x-post r/bestof)Not a single person admitted their opinion was changed by my story. I was shocked. | /r/MensRights | 21/07/13 06:43 PM
“Women are as physically aggressive, or more aggressive, than men in their relationships with their spouses or male partners.”My father once told me that he and my mother had been arguing fairly early in their marriage over something and that she had punched him and he had slapped her back, then they both left the house for a few hours. He told me he was so ashamed of losing his temper he almost killed himself. That is how serious IPV from men is seen by some traditionalists. I got a message about how shameful hitting your SO is in all situations, my sisters got a message about how they should leave and call the cops i… | /r/MensRights | 26/04/13 05:15 PM
A prime example of why men should be able to legally opt out of raising children.Don't be dense on purpose. "Fruits of your labor" refers to the wages a person earns. 2/10 trolling effort. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 07:55 PM
A prime example of why men should be able to legally opt out of raising children.Bodily autonomy would also include the right to the fruits of your labor. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 07:00 PM
New to Men's Activism.I feel like a monster saying this, but my wife claims that she was raped as an infant at a daycare, as recovered from repressed memories at a therapist during her early childhood. Her mother has various mental problems and this was during the very late 80s, so I'm not so sure it ever really happened or if it was part of the whole satanic child abuse panic. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 06:57 PM
How one woman saved her marriage - just by being NICE to her husbandThanks. I'm getting quite a bit of good out of this, mainly on how to recognize and avoid situations in which I'm being taken advantage of, but it's not worked out how my wife envisioned (mainly to pathologize the things in our marriage that were not sitting well with me). | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 06:53 PM
A prime example of why men should be able to legally opt out of raising children. That argument leads right into libertarians "taxation is theft/slavery" ideas. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 03:03 PM
A prime example of why men should be able to legally opt out of raising children. Are you familiar with digital logic? In digital logic, if a condition makes no difference to the outcome, it can be simplified out of the circuit. So, if switches A and B are part of a system, and B is the sole controller of the outcome, you could rebuild the system without switch A and it would still be the same. The interest of the child and the interests of the mother are inputs, yet the outcome reflects the best interests of the mother. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 03:01 PM
A prime example of why men should be able to legally opt out of raising children. If they took debtor's prison off the table, I would say it was a ridiculous comparison, but as long as you can go to prison for not working hard enough for another person it seems like a good comparison. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 02:56 PM
How one woman saved her marriage - just by being NICE to her husbandI found my way here while trying to look for a good therapist (my wife gave me an ultimatum to go to a therapist for my depression, which turned out to be suffering from emotional abuse). | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 02:44 PM
False Rape Accusations: Feminism encourages False Rape Accusations as a way to punish innocent men for the "crime" of being male.As long as they are only targeting militants (defined as pretty much all men of fighting age that are killed in military operations) and not killing too many of the valuable parts of the population of another country. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 02:42 PM
New to Men's Activism. The young radfem you met was doing a great job following in the footsteps of her abusive ancestors. I guess that's equality though, people having the opportunity to be equally shitty to those that care about them regardless of gender or any other differences. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/12 02:40 PM
