Oh that's nice, missed that. Hung up? I fail to see...

Any list so one-sided is foolish. I do prefer traditional gender roles, but true caring is characterized by an attitude of deference from each parter towards the other, not one partner being responsible for complete submission to the other. What are we, robots (or Stepford Wives)? Perhaps it's time for me to leave this subreddit : ) Cheers!

Sounds to me like you are experiencing fallout because of where you choose to live. The rural women that I know aren't like what you described at all. My town & city friends? I love them, but yes, they're little prima donnas. Would hate to have to date one of them, if I were male. Short hair comment: Really? You are a tad superficial, yourself if you require stripper-length hair. (By that I mean 'tossable'. I have not one thing against strippers)

Common sense says that in most cases it will cause trouble of one sort or another. By that I mean jealousy, or actual romantic feelings. Having a bff relationship with a person who's the same sex as your significant other just isn't worth the risk, to me. That's for those good ole single days.

Thanks. The decision to get a gun came only after I had kids. Was my biggest fear that he would get between me & my children. I don't carry one on me any more, but I still sleep w/ one.

I'm 46 and have never been able to figure this out. If you're polite, they push, if you assertively block them you're an fucking bitch. After being manipulated & pushed around for a large portion of my life, I've just come to terms with being a bitch. And after one creep stalked me for 6 years; I now own a gun. I recommend being trained in a weapon and being armed. I feel far more secure than I used to. (responding to your comment replies)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
