The entire thrust of your post is that the trads are self interested, and their arguments are less relevant because of it. Ad hom towards a group is no less an ad hom, and tacking a line at the end of a post doesnt change what you said through the rest of it
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/19 03:07 PM
1

Your entire point is that people having a stake in their own arguments is bad. U think the sexual revolution happened just out of altruism by benevolent tradcons? Ofc not, so is your argument now just "justifications" because you prefer things this way?

Idc about sex that much tbh. I'm going to check if you're interested/attracted at all. I'm not complicated, you'll know if you're attracted within a date or so, not interested in wasting your time or mine. The money is irrelevant, the attitude is not.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/19 02:58 AM

Vet a guy before dating, ie as his friend/acquaintance. Aka avoid online dating This only works if the guy isn't that attracted to you or is not very masculine. If I'm attracted to you and I'm single, the relationship is going to be polarized very quickly. Only have sex after an established relationship, bf/gf labels Is ok if this is what you've always done in the past and I don't feel like you're just trying to get wined and dined.

That was the other guy. It definitely feels short in the tinder era still tho.

ya. I'm not going to legitimately make fun of you for something that actually is like a personal struggle or real insecurity. At least not if I want to be friends with you.

I think, much like parts of the manosphere, its easy to focus on the parts that affect us when it comes to online stories. Is someone much more likely to be hurt by a man? probably. But the difference is largely in the ability rather than the desire or willingness to be violent, from what I've seen.

I hear this every time, but idk where you women even meet these people. I've known 1 guy and 1 girl in my entire life that would really lose it when pushed, and only the girl ever hit anyone. That's besides the DV stats, which say that the majority of one-sided abuse comes from women.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/19 02:49 AM

I have and have needed zero social media, I think this is pretty overblown.

As soon as I see honest discussion about things like the light-switch effect, hypergamy, and dealing with lack of attention span, I'll consider going elsewhere. Most dating advice for guys is really useless.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/19 02:48 PM

She's describing connecting to someone, which is supposed to be the benefit of being in a relationship, not the cost. It's like complaining that you have to be around your kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/19 12:04 AM
1

...that's not actually effort. That's supposed to be what you get out of a relationship, not a chore lol
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/19 11:48 PM

Yeah I got a kick out of that one too. "Just be yourself" is such useless advice for dudes who aren't naturals that it's laughable.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/19 11:37 PM
1

One of the few things I learned from PUA types is that its your job to consciously create those vibes the women on PPD think just kinda happen like magic Yup. "Vibe" is dependent on me reading the room and putting out the right energy. Whether or not I click with a woman depends on how much I care to make it that way once past initial attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/19 11:08 PM

Do you believe that there are any innate differences between men and women? If so, when does describing those differences cross from descriptive to misogynistic?

As a baseline, why is that desperate? I'm attracted to women. If you look like a healthy woman, I'm some level of attracted in the sexual sense. Desperation is shown by chasing, not by attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/19 09:25 PM
1

A lot of guys will have a couple of specific things they really care about more. But in general, yeah. Be nice, be healthy, don't look like you just got run over.

Why does the fact that she drank past her limits shift the burden onto the guy though? You can absolutely speak/move while past that point and not remember it later. Why does it become the guy's responsibility to judge whether or not she "means it"? (as with the post, this is all assuming he's not literally scraping an inebriated chick who can't speak up and dragging her home)

I'm saying marriage no longer includes implied consent, meaning the same standard is in play as for unmarried people. Also, that is not an "oops", that's an "I decided for both of us"
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/19 12:52 AM

Spousal rape exists, so I don't know that it makes any difference anymore
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/19 12:48 AM

Ok, then why does a drink girl that seems into it get to move the responsibility for what happens onto me? The line between blacked out and nobody's home versus just buzzed and having a good time can be pretty thin. I have to know the person already make that call normally. Why, ethically, does it suddenly become my job to make that decision for her?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/19 11:36 PM
1

You didn't ask a question. All of those sentences are statements.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/19 11:27 PM
1

Mostly talking about ought rather than is, here. Do you believe that women should have the right to perform each of those steps and should be held accountable for them, or that they should be constrained/protected by society from making decisions that they wouldn't make while 100% sober?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/19 10:27 PM
1

No. I don't do ONS at all. I'm just curious how you come up with all steps of it being the dude's responsibility if you don't know the answer already.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/19 09:54 PM
1

If someone didn’t view it as a big deal, they wouldn’t need to get drunk to agree to it How would the imaginary second party here know this? Why is it the guy's responsibility to judge whether or not you are making the same decision that you would stone-cold sober?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/19 09:51 PM
1

At what stage do you give up your right to be able to consent?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/19 09:48 PM
1

I would argue that you don't view it as a big deal, if you've chosen to give up agency in a place where that's likely. If I'm concerned about something, I take steps to prevent it from happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/19 09:46 PM
1

Not really, no. I have responsibility for my actions at all times. If I thought it was something that might happen, I would take steps to prevent it. Are bad food places near bars predatory because you wouldn't buy their food sober?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/19 09:35 PM
1

What, exactly, do you see as your role here? It's not like the dude needs you for money or protection. A guy gets married because he likes the company and likes the sex. Is your company worth not having sex? (I would like to add that agree with you about the medical/post-partum things. An actual reason is an entirely different ballgame)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/19 06:25 PM

I mean, you run a sub for chicks that suck at extracting commitment. Surely you can see the irony in complaining about it.

It doesn't affect her so it's not a real problem. Keep up.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/19 11:41 PM

np, people be salty. But take it from someone who's been looking for years, girls that are both stable and attractive are hard to find. They also tend to not go out as much, which complicates things.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/19 06:13 PM
1

There are good ones out there. This may be true, but its also completely irrelevant if you can't find one.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/19 02:32 PM
1

I'm not saying I wouldn't. I'm just saying no actual dude can compete with a vibrator, and I'm not going to feel bad about her not cumming if no actual effort with hands/mouth will do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/19 08:52 PM

I've never met a guy IRL that doesn't care for redheads, that I can remember. In my experience, most guys prefer either blondes or dark brunettes, think brown is neutral, and also like redheads.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/19 12:40 AM

I think redhead is about the only thing that gets you automatic attention nowadays, outside of just regular attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/19 12:19 AM

Tall mostly just limits your options unless you also date guys shorter than you. Blonde is mixed bag. only one of these things is a straight plus to most guys.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/19 07:42 PM

because it’s called being an adult. Getting wrapped up in small problems is also not very adult-like. Other than the "not arranging things he agreed to" these are all small potatoes. You can't date a relaxed dude and then be mad when he doesn't really care about details. I mean, you can, but it's dumb and you turn him into a child if he actually bows to every whim. There's a reason that "I didn't even know there was a wrong way to do the dishes before I was married" is a meme.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/19 05:52 PM
1

Sure. Knowing at some level that I'm a free drink dispenser makes it much less fun though. I'd rather go be with my friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/19 03:16 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/19 09:09 AM

why should it be balanced and why does it matter anyway? This is is/ought fallacy. I'm saying that it is imbalanced(and that that is sometimes frustrating), not that I think anyone is at fault or "needs to change". It makes absolutely no practical difference for you what the acceptable bar for women is, since you have to self-improve to reach a certain level anyway, and at that level you will get laid/relationship. How do can you even come up with this? Do you think self-improvement is just some…

/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/19 08:14 AM

If you aren't interested in what your guy wants, just don't be mad if he doesn't care what you want either. If he isn't entitled to sex, you aren't entitled to his effort. Both are necessary for a relationship, you have complete control over how much of both to give, and zero responsibility to stay if your standards aren't being met. E: Wow I don't think I've ever even seen a real negative karma account. Congrats on your snowflake status.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/19 01:05 AM

Ya sorry. I forget Poe's law sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/19 11:17 PM

Ya lol. Just the standard responses you get when talking about TRP to women (at least on reddit).
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/19 09:16 PM

Very few of the posts I've seen have been "can't". It's more "the effort imbalance for the same outcome is ridiculous"
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/19 09:14 PM

Haha you're so fragile. You should open up more and treat her like a person. Also, don't expect her to do emotional labor. See how easy that was? Enjoy dying alone poorboi

/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/19 08:24 PM

? Is me saying it sucks sometimes telling you to bend over backwards? This sub exists because of TRP, which was made by men and for men to deal with their own problems. Not my fault you get tangled up about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/19 08:21 PM
2

I was really trying to not be toxic. You can't truly know what it is to be a different person, and expecting that from others is short-sighted.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/19 08:19 PM
9

Average men having normal dating experiences and relationships. Speaking as one of them, it still sucks in a lot of ways. Some parts are good, but you still are more or less treated as disposable at most stages by most people. Maybe all of the half million or so people that use TRP are just fragile, but I think its larger than that. Just go look at the r/dataisbeautiful tinder thread and see how obvious the differences are.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/19 08:17 PM

Assuming equivalent complete lack of data, why would I accept that you know better than guys how it is to be a guy? You sure wouldn't accept it the other way around.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/19 08:02 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/19 07:13 PM

I mean the first line is literally "Looks don't matter". You can qualify all you want, but if you don't accept that she said it then idk what to tell you. You can just take the L, nobody cares lol.

society does not care for the feelings of single childless men in relations to the well-being of children Add women (who make the children) and you have the red pill. EZ

Anything can be bought or sold. That's not the point. The sexual revolution just removed all (most of?) the societal barriers that prevented it from being treated like a market.

Fine, we'll do it at your level. Your argument is dumb because being married is cheaper than being single by a lot. If economics were actually the limiting factor, people would be getting married asap.

I was throwing you a bone and entertaining your hypothesis out of humor. Thank you for condescending to converse with me.

I'm not blaming anyone, I'm saying it's a cause. The two are different. Also, let's be real. These "standards" are just a reflection of market value, not an innate commitment to whatever qualities they care about. Otherwise you'd have women beating down the doors of gyms and libraries everywhere, and asking older women how to be attractive to guys. They don't because they don't have to. That's not a judgement, just how the market is right now. The sexual revolution turned sex and relationships i…

If you "NEED" sex, you'll do it. In general, it's not about the sex itself. It's about the feeling of being completely desired. Hookers are irrelevant for that.

No, I'm saying the sexual revolution changed the conditions in such a way that disenfranchisement affected relationships in a larger way. In the bad old days, a girl wouldn't probably get the taste of the upper-class life like they do now, which causes standards to be higher. Most (ok, I dont actually have the data for that. *Many) dudes are perfectly happy to have girlfriends/wives before they have their lives together. Its women that have the "you better have your shit together" attitudes, bec…

This is only true because of the sexual revolution though, imo. If everyone had to pair off, the standards for guys would not be so sky-high that they don't hit them until 30ish most of the time.

perfect reason to conveniently dump her once she's post-wall. Man that must be a scary line to read for a woman. I'm pretty confident I would not be looking for a reason to dump my SO for getting old while in a relationship with me.

My mindset is basically that if a guy is so on the fence about a woman that her n-count tips the judgement either way then it isn’t worth pursuing him anyway. That might not be a huge thing, but directly lying absolutely is.

without being a doormat. How can I show my worth on those first dates ? I've been out and dating a lot more lately, so this is something that I can actually answer. I tend to meet most online, so the IRL ones get handled a bit differently. These are the questions I look to answer on 1st/2nd/3rd dates. (0. Have you manipulated your photos to look thinner/healthier than you are irl? Assuming you haven't I'm probably at least moderately attracted to you. I don't swipe spam.) Do you reciprocate by n…

that sub is just TRP but for radfems. Same (or harsher) tone of gender "discrimination" and all the toxicity. There aren't even any redeeming qualities like TRP has, but its for women so its all good.

As long as r/gendercritical is a thing on reddit, this is literally just directly enforcing an Overton window based on SoCal politics.

So states with higher percentage of rural population have lower age of marriage. Obviously I have no way to separate that further, but logically that would imply that suburban and rural areas have ages of marriage below the stated mean, and the urban areas will be higher. I'm not saying they all get married early 20s, but the averages pretty clearly shift. People don't generally trip and fall into getting married, so being married at 25-26 means that they are wanting to get married in their earl…

You mean the census data that I posted that supports my position? Coastal + Great lake states have higher average age of marriage.

Having lived in both, I disagree. Also that stat is entirely irrelevant, as it would include both demographics. E: https://www.dailydot.com/irl/average-age-marriage-by-state/

“hey, I’ll pick you up tomorrow at 7. I got us reservations at Whatever Restaurant” - generally said as he’s leaving Oh man I've always hated that. Such a turnoff for me. And this right here is the difficult part of being a guy.

I just wanted to offer a counterpoint to the other guy, and say that I loved being homeschooled. I still played sports and such, and sometimes took a class other places, but in general if your kids are at all academically inclined, its the best way to let them grow. I basically read and did math for a couple hours a day, then hung out with friends or read fun books or went camping or whatever. So much wasted time in school. IMO, there's no substitute in an education for lots and lots of reading,…

A significant competent of TRP content is learning to be attractive to women, so this not sure why the inverse being true would surprise you.

It's just women taking male peacock feathers and jamming them up their own butt and thinking that it will signal something positive. That's such a disturbing and accurate image.
