then why do women like Islam so much? Is it the food?

Since most women find honesty attractive, it would probably lead to a lot more relationships. There's one problem though: Being genuine is fucking hard. Articulating what we want isn't nearly as straightforward in practice as in theory. Sure, women like it when men bare their souls, but a guy that can do that on command, and show something beautiful, is going to be extremely rare even when all guys know that's what women want.

If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And …

I'm not sure fighting a war requires a hierarchy though. In Rojava for example the YPG and YPJ militias elect their commanders before each operation. It seems like a militia could be implemented with a self-organizing/evolutionary model like holacracy, if there were a group of people willing to test an initially flawed organizational model in the field...

In my own experience, women enjoy being childish with their partners far more than men enjoy being fatherly (source: fetlife). Have you seen Slavoj Zizek's discussion on the new gender roles? He points out that in most media today, men are depicted as ultra juvenile while women are cast as ultra mature (source: US Election). This actually makes perfect sense from an evo-psych viewpoint, because in a time of shrinking resources, men need to take greater risks and make more mistakes (which is what…

That seems like saying a man is too rich or a woman is too beautiful. Do you know a man who's actually been in a relationship that thinks that's possible? Does anyone? Certainly no one who believes in evo-psych would take that line no matter what they think of gender roles. I would say though, a lot of women engage in intellectual bullying then complains that men are 'intimidated by their intelligence' when the men in question don't want to engage in verbal sparring. A woman who enjoys starting …

The fear of not procreating is extremely deep-seated, like fear of dying without any urgency. But it's not a rational fear that's often verbalized. intra-tribal vs inter-tribal. TRP sees sexual strategy as amoral and women as a different 'tribe' to whom no morality is owed. within their own 'tribe', they do attempt to enforce morality. 'Cuck' as a pejorative does not refer to literal cuckoldry. It is a term for anyone who willingly supports someone acting against his own interests. The most comm…

I know you meant well, but when I open up about being incel and get that kind of 'you're a nice guy don't give up' speech it makes me irrationally angry.

I would agree. So many things these days - this debate being one of them - I just want to shout "Neuroplasticity" and walk away.

I think it's a bad idea to conflate overweight with obese. Plenty of people, especially women, are perfectly healthy with more than zero body fat. There's a difference between fat that's storing a surplus and fat that's a sign of inflammation (one appears as curves, the other as rolls). A lot of people speak about them as though they're the same, and I really think that's not based in reality.

I suspect because when we come across someone like that, we remember it. I had a supervisor when I was doing rig work who literally had a partner in every city he worked in for more than a month. Freaky to see that in action, I wish I could have picked some of that up through osmosis.

There's this idea that women don't enjoy sex. I don't buy it.

Ask your prospect to take a quick video with your phone. "I, So-and-so, being a legally responsible adult and of my own volition, do hereby agree to have sex with whatsisface but not do <position I don't like>" Yes, I realize nobody would actually do this, but if it became the norm it would solve the problem pretty quick. If a jury sees a video and someone's obviously slurring their words, it's a clear indicator something untoward happened. If someone seems normal then suddenly starts slurring t…

Well, it was fun while it lasted, but we all know that Reddit can't handle people who disagree actually having honest discussions with one another. Fuck this gay earth.

That seems like a good idea to me. Lots of small-scale testing would lead to more understanding at the ground level, then by the time someone does a large-scale experiment there will be anecdotal evidence that can inform the experiment design. I think this kind of heuristic study along with mutual respect for formal scientific study can lead to a virtuous feedback cycle.

Oh, I was certainly thinking of the same kind of harm to one's partners or relationships you were referring to. But I think that's a risk one takes when testing an idea, and the way to prevent doing that kind of harm isn't to limit the ideas one tests in one's own life but precautions one takes in how one does the tests.

The idea that half the population is an alien other is neither new nor unique to TRP. I agree that a wrong model of reality can cause a lot of problems, but so can no model at all. The reason TRP has gained so much attention is because prior models offered a lot of men no useful guidance with their problems. TRP may not offer finished or rigorously tested theories, but most people do know that you are ultimately responsible for what you do with advice given by strangers on the internet. That we …

I'm in favour of it, so long as people aren't harming others with that implementation. Rigorous scientific study takes a very long time, and in a lot of areas (sports medicine, farming, even law enforcement) a kind of informal, non-rigorous experimentation goes on for quite a while and 'best practices' tend to rise to the top through personal experimentation and conversations before a complete hypothesis to explain why these are the best practices is formulated or tested. So I think it's a usefu…

I may be misreading the role mainstream psychology is playing in the conversation around evo-psych. But I do not doubt that evo-psych makes a lot of people uncomfortable in a way that, say, creationism does not, and the rhetoric from people denigrating evo-psych reflects this discomfort. I had assumed that this discomfort came from mainstream psychologists who felt it was an infringement on their traditional territory, but I could be wrong. It might also come from anti-racists who fear that evo-…

I have a couple responses... You seem to be conflating romance and mating; romance is a much more uniquely human phenomenon while mating is universal in the animal kingdom and primarily instinct-driven, it could even be called exclusively instinct driven*. Psychology seems to me as a layperson more preoccupied with the uniquely human intellect. But red pill culture is not really concerned with intellectual aspects of attraction like romance, the primary concern is with instinctual, mating-orient…

There's a theory that women like men who challenge them, because they can achieve a state of 'flow' (when you're being challenged but up to it) in those relationships. I think part of the reason is that men don't want their relationships to be challenging. Life is challenging enough, I want a relationship that makes me more able to take on the challenges that come my way, not one that makes life harder. I think men tend to want the 'power couple' dynamic that helps things outside of the relation…

I wish I knew who started the 'males aren't sapiosexual' rumor. Stupid women no doubt. Though I think part of the reason this belief persists is that men associate not saying much with intelligence, so pedantic women will probably think men are turned off by their intelligence, when in fact they just don't come across as particularly intelligent.

Honesty's one of those masculin virtues that a lot of people see as under attack, so in my opinion, it was... maybe not stupid, but weak.

I don't think my definition of feminism is relevant, any more than my definition of Islam is relevant to whether I say I'm a Muslim. All that's necessary is for me to say "I don't want to be a member of your club" and if a person can't accept that, that's reason enough not to be a member of their club. If I had to label myself in the field of gender politics, I'd say I'm an individualist.
