Tbh if there are any feminists who are remotely close to RP it's the radfems Very true. No matter how much they loathe admitting it, radfems are actually pretty conservative in a lot of ways. They're generally hawkish and they have traditional beliefs on what constitutes gender.

As a guy with Asperger's who respects women and if anything is quite shy around them, I'm kind of insulted that you demonize autistic people like that. In my experience it's usually the confident and entitled guys with good social skills who are assholes to women, honestly.

Why do people act like only men commit sexual harassment? Some women are forward and intrusive as fuck. I realize there is a size and strength differential though which makes unwanted attention from a man more scary than unwanted attention from a woman.

What about a 5'7'' skinny smart guy vs a 6 foot fat smart guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/19 02:10 AM

Maybe by BMI standards, but it really depends on the guy's frame. For the reference I am the fat guy, I am fat but I don't think I look disgusting. I'm broad shouldered and would probably look worse if I was really skinny. Though I could stand to lose 40-50 lbs.

As the fat guy in my scenario this is what I wanna hear lol.

I'm not saying you're wrong, there is indeed a lot of evidence that points of women being the more neurotic sex. However I do think depression is probably underdiagnosed in men, because men might be less likely to recognize they're depressed. I think in women depression often manifests as overt sadness while in men it's more likely to take the form of emotional numbness, which is a more subtle but no less severe kind of sadness.

I can't wait either. Too Much is a jam! I think it might be more popular than Emotion. It's not as ultra-girly as her other music (not that that's a bad thing) so I think it might have more mainstream appeal.

Interesting. ENTPs and INTJs do share the same preferences in their stack (Intuition-Thinking-Feeling-Sensing) so maybe that's why I got you confused.

Thanks for your input! Yeah, it's definitely not only or especially the left that look down on autistic people, I've just noticed that a lot of them are very gung-ho on the rights of racial minorities, LGBT people, etc (which is great) but they turn around and act prejudice against the neurodiverse (which is not OK, and IMO betrays a moral blind spot). But yeah the alt-right are probably worse when it comes to expressing prejudice against people with cognitive disabilities. I really want to star…

I don't think it's that bad for me, I think my bipolar disorder is more prominent than my Asperger's. I haven't totally given up on finding love, I just don't look very hard anymore. I tend to get my hopes up when I meet a woman I fancy and then I get disappointed and upset. If I luck out and there's mutual attraction I'll pursue it, but I've learned to be pretty happy with single life too. Though I admit it can be lonely.

The first thing women did when they got the vote was take away man's beer. Lol. Seriously though, I do understand why feminism and the temperance movement were connected. A lot of husbands were getting drunk and hitting their wives back then.

Yeah I've noticed that autistic people tend to either be very neurotic and emotionally unstable, or they have a flat affect. Sometimes both depending on the mood of the person/stage of their life. Like I used to be very neurotic, including severe OCD but now I'm very chill and emotionally stable. The benzos probably help though. I haven't had an outburst in at least 3 years.

A friend of mine is diagnosed but has no problem reading social cues or facial expressions but is simply extremely neurotic about certain structures and very shy. Is your friend female? It seems like autistic women often don't lack social skills as much and for them it manifests more in terms of anxiety and impairment of executive function. I've heard that their social brain is similar to male autistics but they tend to cognitively learn social skills better than their male counterparts for some…

I've read quite a bit about Einstein. He was successful in his career, but he did have problems with social skills. He wasn't warm to his first wife and son, he hit his sister on the head with a shovel when he was a kid. But yeah, he could have just been an INTP/broader autism phenotype rather than truly on the spectrum. Most people with a xNTx MBTI type are gonna have some common features to autism, especially INTPs and INTJs.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/19 03:30 AM

I don't know if that's true. From what I've heard, people take advantage of female autistics just like they do with males. Autistic people of both sexes are viewed as prey to narcissists and even some judgmental empaths.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/19 03:25 AM

Thank you! :) Yeah it seems like a lot of men on the spectrum can get sex but relatively few have long-term, healthy relationships. It's depressing.

I actually am outgoing, I like to meet new people and I'm generous, but I kind of doubt that I'm likable. Considering other people often give me the cold shoulder, I feel like there is something about me that turns people off. I think it's because people can sense my lack of emotional warmth even though I try hard to be nice. It's not my fault but it's not their fault for being offput by it either.

Women on the spectrum can definitely be cringy in relationships too, I do think at least for the high functioning women though they tend to be a bit more "normie" compared to the guys.

I actually see Honnold as being a compassionate psychopath (according to one stat I heard, only 15% of psychopaths are antisocial). Or at least, he has some psychopathic features such as fearlessness but without the antisociality. He seems caring to some degree (for example in his documentary he expressed concern that his climbing partners might see him die someday, and he loves and respects his girlfriend) but he also puts rock climbing above everything else. His girlfriend expressed a bit of r…

That's a good tip. Yeah I don't like faking rapport with people, but I don't want to appear like an asshole either. I suffer from depression so a lot of times I feel emotionally numb (I take benzos too which contributes to that) so I find it hard to express warmth sometimes.

That's not autism per say, but anti-social behavior. Real, medical autism is when you have trouble understanding or comprehending social situations, to where you often don't understand why such a thing even would be awkward. I don't know, I think a lot of people on the spectrum are aware of their limitations, especially as we get older. People with ASPD aren't awkward, to the contrary they tend to be quite charming and are good at getting others to like them in order to get what they want.

I think I'm a lot more self-aware than I used to be. I used to think I was really smart, now I feel like I'm actually average intelligence and maybe even kind of stupid in some ways. I used to think it was stupid that people enjoyed sports but now not only do I respect it I kind of enjoy watching basketball now. I don't really have any niche hobbies, aside from coin collecting, but I'm well aware that the vast majority of people don't give a shit about coins. I usually listen a lot more than I t…

Yeah, I'm sure some social justice people want to see autistic people treated better. But I've seen a lot of blue pillers online throw around autistic as an insult. There's definitely a lot of people on the Left who view autistic men with disdain, see them as being entitled whiners, weirdos, etc. The left is all about empathy so a lot of them are generally going to look down on people with a condition that impairs empathy. I think I can "mask" my tendencies to some degree but I have my doubts th…

Just look at it the other way. Imagine some 250 pound woman with facial hair insisting you had no empathy for her because you didn't want her to be your girlfriend or give her the D. You'd probably think she was being unreasonable and annoying and you wouldn't want to be around her if she was acting like that. If you're unattractive, whether it's physically or socially, you should really just accept that a smaller pool of women will be drawn to you and you can choose to either fish in that pool …

I think it's hard for people on the spectrum in general, being on it myself. Generally we don't get any interest from the opposite sex and if we do, it's often from people that don't respect us or treat us well. I think if a 29 year old wouldn't date a 31 year old they're probably not that ideal a partner anyway. Think of it this age, it might weed out some of the shallow people that you're in your 30s now. :)

Yeah I think most women have good morals and are responsible people but it's fairly small minority of them that are "geeky" about stuff the way guys are. I think it's the people vs things situation. A lot of guys want a "gamer girl" type that shares all their interests but the truth is they are a minority of women. Someone on Joe Rogan's podcast said that if a woman was more into things vs people than 85% of women, she'd still be more into people and less into things than half of men. Unless you…

People say the ratio is 4 men to every woman for autism, but I think the true ratio is more like 2:1. Autism (in particular Asperger's) has a lot in common with INTP and INTJ personalities which are about 2/3 male and 1/3 female. Although an autistic person could be any type, I'm an INFP Aspie. I think there are more autistic guys but I also think people are less willing to admit to having an autistic daughter. Also autistic girls tend to gain better social skills because they learn from other g…

I'm an INFP male and I'm definitely pretty strange, though I do have conventional undertones (probably my Si and very very weak inferior Te). I think xSFJ women are what people think of when they think of "girly girls". NT women seem to be a little bit more like men in some ways (not necessarily in looks, but they are more analytical than most women and many men), and also more likely to be a little bit weird compared to F and S women. Although INFP and ENFP women can also be delightfully weird.
