Everybody's hating on this post but I like the idea. I think it's bullshit that anyone can even investigate marriages. They certainly wouldn't investigate a man/woman relationship to verify it's validity. What right do they have to investigate a gay marriage? As if a man and a woman couldn't get married to commit tax or insurance fraud.

how about this as a difference: the MRM wants no discrimination under the law between men and women. feminism wants special advantages given to women granting them an advantage over men to compensate for an unfounded belief that they are oppressed. MRM = equality... feminism = power grab/power retention. feminism and mrm are not 2 sides to the same coin. The fact that feminists can't even grant that laws should be gender neutral says everything you need to know about their intentions.

I feel like their needs to be an outlet for communication that is moderated by the community not by a few specific individuals. It would be nice to see a program that you downloaded on your computer where things were stored versus relying on the continued cooperation of site staff. This isn't a very well thought out position on my part... but I think communication shouldn't be controlled regardless of what is being said. Ideally I would, but I don't think women are willing to be reasonable and give any ground on the issue unless presented with an obviously less preferable option that exposes the injustice of the current system. The second option is less preferable but equally logical I would contend. If you're going to violate someone else's rights, yours should be violated equally... I'm arguing that women should not have ultimate authority over their body when it comes to a fetus because men (arguably) have ultimate responsibility when it comes to the care of the resulting child. Well when someone has ultimate responsibility over something (ie: 18+ years of care and financial accountability of a child) HE should have final say in it's existence. Until men are alleviated of the accountability to care and finance children they didn't agree to, they should definitely have a veto rights when it comes to a woman birthing their child. "My body - my right" should equate to "my body - my responsibility".

Not everyone needs some horrible life changing experience to dislike the police. We see plenty of reasons in the form of video to mistrust the power that is granted to police officers. Maybe people just realize how corruptible people are when given authority and always distrust people in those positions.
