Yeah but Lavar Ball is a massive bag of dicks. He does not represent the average dude.

Two questions: 1 - Since when is it socially unacceptable to admit that you’re going to the gym to become more attractive to the opposite sex and improve your “dating outcomes?” I’ve never seen that be made to be taboo. Is this actually a thing? I thought that was a primary reason for many people. 2 - Why do you care about whether or not some random redditor acknowledges this perception of yours? I don’t mean that condescendingly or rhetorically, I’m really genuinely curious about why your reque…

I don’t need it explained to me, I understand the beliefs and the mentality. The problem is that your beliefs are irrelevant to the larger reality. You get to choose how desperate you are. You confuse your perceptions with objective facts. Might be directionally accurate for a small percentage of the population, but the vast majority of humanity (both sexes) want to be loved, seen, accepted for who they are. Most people who are in healthy relationships do not view them as transactional or akin t…

Some women, sure. Not as many as you think. And I suppose my opinion that it’s extraordinarily weak-minded to believe that women hold all the power makes me a bull? Or can I just be a rational human being that doesn’t buy in to all the nonsense?

I hear you. But the reality is far more complex and nuanced.

Obviously this is not a system you created or devised, I am certainly not attacking you personally. You just don’t know what you don’t know. Someday you might. But for now you’re talking gibberish.

Either that or your whole system is stupid bullshit nonsense.

My body count? In the way you mean, I cannot fathom a less interesting or valid thing to care about. I have a wife I love and sometimes cannot stand. I have 3 kids I adore and would do absolutely anything for - the youngest of which is receiving an award for being kind and for standing up for others, and I cannot express to you how proud I am and how meaningful that is. Btw he’s 8 and has a little “girlfriend.” He has it figured out more than you do.

Listen man, I get it. Introspection is hard. It’s dramatically easier to point fingers at the system, society and people that seem to value everything you are not. Until you realize that not everything is about what you can get or what’s coming to you, which are extraordinarily selfish and juvenile expectations, little will change for you. The good news is that a better road and outlook is virtually always available to you. There are a LOT of chubby, low income, un-famous, regular-ass people in …

You just gave a clear cut example of what “anecdotal” is, bud. You act like you’re the hero of your own special little RPG - if you can just level up ENOUGH, the game will reward you with your heart’s desire. What everyone is trying to explain to you is that this is not how it works. Sex and relationships are not something you earn or qualify for, like a paycheck after a job well done or a certain amount of hours are logged. FIX YOU = develop yourself into a secure, good person. Do your best and…

Just saying that some men find a relationship after improving a certain quality is anecdotal and not exactly reliable information. Even if it were somehow demonstrably true or based on a study of some kind, correlation is not necessarily causation. Every individual experience, and therefore every individual relationship, is different. You’re looking for a one-size-fits-all solution and you’re not going to find one. Fix YOU.

Bro, nothing guarantees a romantic relationship. It’s not something you “get” by following certain steps or rules. You keep getting told that this whole line of thinking is juvenile and worthless, and what I CAN guarantee you is that if some potential partner became aware of your words and opinions here, you would absolutely stand out as someone NOT to develop a relationship with of any kind.

You talk like this is all a reality TV show, and you just want your alliance to win. Hard to believe a real person believes or thinks this way. Who would "make a deal" with men? When? How would that even work or look? Does this take place at the ceremony deciding who to vote off the island?

For what it’s worth, you have greater control over one of those things than the other, and literally nothing you have said at any point in this thread indicates even a small amount of charm coming off you. That’s not something you can fake or brute force your way into, either.

Would you say you’re wanting to prove that you’re a 5 star man? A golden god?

They very well might. There’s a lot of “wrong” going on around here, though. Apologies for the condescending tone. Guess I was ready for a fight. Lesson learned.

I fully understand that this is not exactly the place for nuance, so I don’t really have much of an expectation of being understood all that well. Not what I said, not my argument, not my logic. Giving you more credit than I believe you really deserve here, I WOULD say that a woman that judges/generalizes all men or blames men for not having the life to which they feel entitled, may find that they are not the good woman they believe themself to be. I hope that helps.

You certainly could. I would, however, argue that if you find yourself using phrases like "unselected men" and "unregulated mating market," or generalizing the behaviors of what a typical woman might do or say, you might not be the good man you purport yourself to be. Not necessarily you specifically, of course. Don't even know if you're a man, good or otherwise. The point is that nobody is going to come save the day, address what anyone views as a global issue for them, or "ask all the women" a…

Has to be addressed? By whom? What person or group is going to swoop in and “address” things in a way that makes things easier for you? And what are they going to do to “address” your plight?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
