I appreciate your point of view-very insightful. I do agree that men may not want the “baggage” that comes with a woman in her forties, but many of these men have been married before as well. They also have a past. I just feel like women tend to be more tolerant of said past. The patience in which she treated her last 2 year relationship was very virtuous imo.

Yes this is a thing! The fact that men are “allowed” to age and look “interesting” makes me mad more than anything else when it comes to gender dynamics.

I completely agree that a guy of high caliber you will likely not find at a bar. The thing is, she’s not at the bar all the time, heck, I’m not at the bar all the time. But it’s been a long week for both of us. I work in sales and is end of the month so I’ve been working crazy hours, then I go back home and study until 10, 11pm. I wanted to put a nice dress on, and get out of the house. I don’t think I was looking for Mr. right in that place, she wasn’t either. I wasn’t “helping her out.” That w…

Absolutely. That’s my fear as well. I come from a culture of strong women that had to grow up really fast. They bare children, they make the home, the husband goes out and does whatever the hell he wants. These women, including my sister, have given their all to their marriages, have given up the “best” years of their life to these men. I see it all the time, these type of men don’t appreciate them and indeed exchange them for a newer model. Literally seen it happen. My sister was the type of wi…

Wow, so sorry that happened to you, it must have been a horrible experience. I do believe that a lot of the men in that sub are broken. If I went on a rant about every guy who has ghosted me or that has done me wrong, I guess I would also end up with a similar sub lol.

No, is not that I found these men unattractive because of their age, I mentioned I do appreciate a guy that age. But I can’t help but recent them because of the way they behave towards women their age. I don’t see any of my girlfriends hooking up with guys past like 36. It just doesn’t happen in my circle, not even money plays a role. If the guy is old, that’s a hard pass. It’s not age appropriate. What can a 50 year old can possibly have in common with a 26 year old? He could be her dad. My sis…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
