Strong vibes of ‘women-can-do-no-wrong’ from this one. Disengage and back away, slowly.

I do love that metaphor. Original, or can it be attributed to anyone? In either case, I’ll be using it from now on. Thank you kindly.

I’ve never understood how feminism says its for the equality of both genders. For females, yes that’s pretty obvious and expected. But for males though? Really?

It doesn’t matter though, does it? Preferences are preferences; there’s no rules that determine who or what a person is attracted to. Perhaps there are biases at play: taller men are seen as more masculine and may do a better job in the ‘protector’ role (of course, not necessarily true, but physics does favour longer reach most of the time), but that again isn’t anything unfair. Short men have it tough, nobody’s saying that they don’t. But blaming it on something as arbitrary as preference will …

I have failed multiple times, as well. Can I say that I will not fail again? I’ll be flat-out honest with you; I can’t bet on it, because I just won’t know how I would react to a particular incident and the factors surrounding it. I’m not saying that I’m a short-fused barbarian, far from it. Tbh I am usually mellow to the point of being monkish. In my spare time I garden, for God’s sake. My monsteras, succulents and fiddle figs are really coming along. However, my wife, kids, my parents and my s…

It is in my experience that someone who tries to project an air of urbane calmness has the most pent-up rage. Now, I do have kids. They mean the world to me, and if someone abused them, you can best bet that they won’t be safe, regardless of what the law might say. I won’t lie: my children are my weak spot, and I have a very definite, deep-seated hatred of bullies and abusers. Tell you what, friend: I hope for your sake that when you have kids one day, you’ll keep them safe. That primeval rage o…

And there we go. Didn’t take you long to go down the 3-year old mentality route, eh?

I think dying is the ultimate bias, particular in the case of military conscription (which is still a thing) that disproportionally affects men (also still a thing). If someone were to collate the total numbers of deaths from violent conflicts throughout the ages, and then separated them by gender, I daresay a very obvious bias exists there...

A tingle of contentment, perhaps.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
