Let them think what they want, protect your peace. You are there to work, not make best friends.

I am speechless. She is the mother of his child and his partner and he can't contribute to her success

I am in a similar situation, slightly older and widowed, and hadn't dated in 20 yrs. I dont use OLD. I had to learn some VERY hard lessons when I started dating again, the biggest one being if they don't ask you to be exclusive, you are SINGLE. I have had my heart broken way too many times thinking that a guy I was talking too all day and spending a lot of nights with was being exclusive. They aren't, and they will shame you for being upset...you know...because it was "never discussed". I found …

Exactly. That amount is covering groceries and not much else. Certainly not shelter, electricity, day care, clothes, extra curriculars...and you have 2 teenage girls. There is makeup and hair products...and going out with thier friends. $800..what a joke

I made the mistake of reading the comments on the article... Lots of men saying the ex must be crazy..and $800 is a lot of money, no wonder he's bitter, etc. $800 a month for 2 children is not a lot of money. Especially when its obvious he resents them and surely never actually took care of them in any capacity. How about we look at the money the mother spent of her own income on the kids. And also the emotional labor she put it in. He is a trash heap of a human being. He brought those children i…

And will continue to disrespect all women not his daughter. I was actually just having this conversation about how T.I. is abusing women and sex workers, while insisting his daughter get her hymen checked.

I would LOVE a real study. Side by sides of similarly aged men and women. That are naturally aging. As a woman in her 40s...I maybe see 1 attractive older man every now and then, and tons of gorgeous women.

Its deleted But, let me say this. I dated a man like this. Always canceling, or never making advance plans. It was infuriating. Well, turns out he was still with sleeping with the mother of his children. I found out because she called me one day and said her son said I spent the night ( she and I know each other). He was lying to us both.

This is beautiful, and she is a queen. I feel for her, though my circumstances were different, and I was widowed. I do know how it feels to crawl, and the only reason I wake up every day is to make sure my daughters have the best, like they deserve. It gets better, in its way. And I hope she knows she's doing God's work.

She dodged a massive bullet. He is as lazy and LV as it gets. Can't even help someone, who if shes inviting you over... you...like? But, I guess I'm expecting too much. He was thinking he would go over and get laid with minimal effort most likely.

I have had plenty of men I've been in the "talking" phase with offer to fix anything I've mentioned I needed done. Including tile work. I should have taken them up on it,but I dont let men in my home.

I WANT too. I WANT to scream and cry and tell them why. But, after you've done it enough times, with the same results. They don't give a shit, and I feel so disgusted and embarrassed, because I knew better, yet I still humiliated myself...you just let go. Its 100% true, delete, block, pick up your dignity and never look back.

I am very much the type that leaves and doesn't look back. But,man do I have some things I would like to say. I know its pointless, they don't care, they know what they did. But,I ,for sure, would love to show up with a power point of why.

The relationship is useless. He doesn't even care enough about her to take care of her when she's pregnant, he will never take care of the baby. He won't be able to be left alone with the child safely. So...whats the point.

Nope nope nope I've has this happen to me,more than once. And like an idiot always just pushed down my feelings and kept dating them. It's disrespectful af.. and he is clearly showing her where she is on his priority list. He didn't cancel the plans with his dad...its just a hangover. Take some Tylenol, drink some water and take a nap. If she was important he would be on that date and make it nice for her.

They say we "just need to be not fat" While they complain that they need to look like Henry Cavill with Elon's money for us to pay attention. Yet, I'm sure every last one of us has loved a gutter troll who lived under a bridge and his mom brought him food....who made us feel worthless. Its simply not true. Women do not love biceps and wallets.

I'm probably a large bit older than a lot of the ladies here. And yes, asking for clean underwear from a man in his 40s is a lot. He's probably freshly divorced, from a 20 year marriage where she did everything for her family. I will not be someone's new maid. I definitely have more criteria...like no young kids. I am widowed with pre teens. I don't want to be the mother to a small child or deal with your ex. Thankfully I have a strong female friend group. You think it's weird in your 20s...wait …

You're not crazy. Beauty is shoved down our throats from a young age. I work out daily, eat well and take care of myself. Am I an "IG baddie", nope. I'm 100% naturally me. I'm not asking for a 6 pack either, but I do want someone who isn't obese, with a well groomed beard and hair, and owns close toed shoes.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to be attracted to your partner. Honestly I ask myself this all the time, but I'm older. When I see men on tv/movies my age and they are attractive, I wonder where they are in real life. Its obviously possible for a man in his 40s to be reasonably fit and have good hair and clothes. I really don't think I'm asking for much.

Its been a long time for me. I got sick of always wondering if someone was going to text, ghost, if they liked me, how many other girls was be talking too. The high of the attention is not worth my sanity. I just stopped. And its been freeing. At first it was hard, since thriving on male attention is so ingrained in us, but now its peaceful and I am just doing what makes me happy.

I have been playing with the idea of letting my hair just be its natural silver, I've been dying it since I was 12. The gasps of "you'll look old" and "men won't like that " Ummmm...ok? Literally nothing I do is for the benefit of men.

I was young and dumb and we were in lovvvve. I was 21 and he was 18. We lasted 6 years. You do a massive amount of growing in your 20s, and we just wanted different things. I met another man who was everything I ever dreamed of and we had 2 children. He passed away 4 years ago. So, the moral here is...you can have everything you want, a HVM and a beautiful family, and still be left with just what you can provide. You are the only constant in your life.

Focus on you. Your money, your education, save...buy a home, start retirement. Date if you want, but its way too easy to get married and have kids...then be divorced and uneducated with no money by 40. I only have 1 friend still married, after all of us being married by 25,and most were stay at home moms (myself included) and now are in school or working low wage jobs. You have plenty of time for marriage and children if that is something you want. Travel, its money well spent. You don't need a c…

Ugh..the old Hatfish. Its happened to me, I always ask to see him without the hat. Nothing like thinking you're heading out with a cute guy ...only to have him show up with a comb over, and hes 30.

I dont think they do...these dudes don't want want you to be "bigger" than them. Even though it's impossible. I have seen where they think women who are naturally lean, have lean mass (yoga/pilates) are genetically superior for having children, and you need to look at old pictures of your gf to make sure she was never fat. You know...just incel things

Is this...a joke? Now we're selfish for providing for ourselves and being fit? And I need to do my nails and listen to soft music and do yoga? No thanks. I'll continue to lift heavy weight while listening to hard rock. Working on my biceps and my wallet.

If shes lucky she'll get some crap child support. More likely he'll divorce her and get with a 20 yr old. Have 50/50 custody so he doesn't have to pay and play part time dad of the year with his new gf.

I'm sure he expects her to keep up the trappings of an upper middle class wife...hair,nails,clothes,bags,makeup...and also purchase for the kids from that money. And her gas, and her food. And then has the audacity to say she has her own "savings". How much would she be earning at her career? On top of building for herself and her future with that career? How much are they saving on child care? A maid? Eating out? I can't with this trash

Agreed. It blows me away how in love with "Dean" ( or Jensen) these women are. He treats women TERRIBLY. Uses them for sex and is always watching porn. I get that he and Sam are supposed to be opposites, and Dean is supposed to be a manly man...eating his cheeseburgers, drinking beer, ogling women and driving his old muscle car...but, he's as LV as it gets. Hes gorgeous, I dont disagree there, but my God is his character a trash heap.

Thank you Just makes it all the more clear what is actually possible in love, and to never settle for less. I've been burned by a couple narcissists who moved in quickly while I was vulnerable, but definitely a lesson learned.

Sounds like me giving advice to my own daughters..and my friends. I was widowed at 37 with 2 small girls that I had later in life. I've been out a few times, but I prefer to be alone, they just aren't worth it and they get upset when I won't tell them where I live or meet my kids. My husband was an amazing man, there will never be another like him, so I'm totally ready to spend the second half of my life doing my own thing.

This happened to me as well. A man I held in high esteem in my life, friends for over a decade. When my husband passed we decided to give it a try. I thought we were great and was happy. Until he blind sided me with the old "I've met someone else" after 2 years. ( a much younger ans child free someone else) even the people you trust and love the most will do you dirty.
