Exactly. They have to be ready to provide what they like. As an example- I wore fake eyelashes one date night and my husband complimented it. I told him that if he likes it I could start getting extensions. These are not cheap. They also take a long time. He not only pays for it but also uses it as a special “dad only” time with the kids. That is a man that wants longer eyelashes and got them. (And yes- I really really wanted them too.)

I like that you are highlighting this part. I am a happily married stay at home mom. I am spoiled, respected and valued in my marriage. My husband helps or hires our anything I need support with and I do feel great contentment in being a mom. That said- I lost my identity in a lot of ways and it is difficult to find a part of myself that’s not a mom or wife. I have to find the “me” in my life as a mother.... but I feel like my husband has had to find the “dad” in his life as a man.

Could it be PMDD? Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder- or something like that. This is a gross over simplification but basically super duper bad PMS that is mostly emotional. They will basically switch birth controls and maybe give you a low antidepressant- Wellbutrin tends to have less sex side effects in general. This sounds like I was. The BC change helped so much.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
