Every single time I've been lenient with men and softened my boundaries, I've regretted it. Every single fucking time. There's a reason we have these rules.

100%!! I'm super turned off by any red flag & that has made me weed out the losers the moment they approach me. I've met some very interesting men and have had a healthier dating life overall since I've had this shift. I listen to my friends vent about their bf's & husbands and I'm just repulsed by these men and know that I would never again deal with any of that nonsense.

It's literally the number 1 cause of death for pregnant women. Number 1. I hated both of my pregnancies because it's the only times my ex husband got violent with me. I left him shortly after I gave birth the second time because I realized he was a coward who was abusive when I was vulnerable and couldn't defend myself. These POS know exactly WTF they're doing and wait until they have women in vulnerable situations to bring out their true colors.

He’s creating the opportunity for him to get laid lol He said walk to his place from there; that’s why he’s mad she changed the location. Mf wants to use her and have her be happy with it.

I feel you 100 percent, no offense taken. I know that women are the ones at risk in these situations, which is why I won’t accept anything less than high effort even just for something casual. He actually wanted more; I’m the one that set the tone for it to be FWB. This has been on my terms from the beginning. He’s a classy guy all around, but that doesn’t mean I’m not aware of what can happen & I’m fine with it cause I’m still talking to other people and going on dates. We’re both aware that we…

I have a high sex drive so I have a FWB, but the only reason I chose to have casual sex with him is because even though it’s just sex, he still puts in a lot of effort. He takes me on nice dates, buys me gifts, always either picks me up or sends me an Uber, opens doors, caters to me throughout the night, and takes me to breakfast in the morning and even if I don’t have time he’ll buy me breakfast to take with me. Oh and he always makes sure I cum. He never does last minute booty calls and respec…

That’s with LVM. The higher effort men I’ve dated have respected my boundaries and weren’t expecting sex on the first date. I think that’s a big red flag and not the norm.

FR! My 13 year old boy who is on a spectrum for emotional disabilities and has that teenager attitude saw me cleaning snow off my car and came out to help me without being asked cause he knew I was tired. There is no excuse for a grown man.

Congrats on dropping the dead weight babe! Dating only gets better from here on out. Even if things don't work out, it'll still be a better experience due to your boundaries and higher expectations.

I've met some really interesting people through social media. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but the men I've met on there have been really cool. I recently made my profile public and because of the algorithms I've been connecting with people that have the same interests as me. I have a date coming up with someone I just met on there and he's into the stuff I like and he asked me on a date and made reservations at an upscale steakhouse. The last guy I dated I met on there and we were see…

One of my ex’s said it was hard to find funny women, yet my cousin, BFF, and I all outdid his ass every time lol he acknowledged it & admitted defeat too lol Said that just when he thought he’d raise the bar, we would go higher. It’s nice bringing men down a peg when they think they’re better at everything.

This!! The best times of my life have been as a single woman hands down. All of my ex’s sucked the life out of me. There’s a certain peace to not having to answer to anyone and having time for friends & fun. I’m dating someone exclusively now and it’s been great cause I’m not worried about where it will lead & don’t care if I end up alone cause I’m gonna enjoy my life regardless.

Same here, I’m naturally chill and go with the flow. I let my guy lead but my boundaries are clear and if he does something I don’t like, he takes it serious cause he knows it’s rare for me to be upset about something. You can be chill without being a pushover.

Mine recently took some money out of his savings to help me start a small business so I can have more income besides my 9-5. He thought of it all on his own based on my capacities and what I’ve told him. It’s been going great; he helps me run it and the income is all mine. It was a gamble but he was very supportive and his encouragement has really helped things take off.

The way I see it, if wanting to get married doesn’t come from him, then I don’t want it. I’ve learned that you really do have to let men take the lead for them to feel like a man, otherwise they will resent you for it later. If he wants to marry you then he will ask, and if he doesn’t then why would you wanna force that upon anyone?

I’m so proud of you!! You’re investing all of your energy in yourself and it shows. You are absolutely correct when you say that a guy has to be amazing to get your time/attention. I’m on the same boat, although I’m dating someone (he’s been awesome so far), I’m not worried about a future with him, I’m worried about MY future and it shows too. I like to have the guy take the lead with that to gauge how interested they are. If they really like you, they won’t wanna share you so they’ll bring it up first. The guy I’m seeing now brought it up within like 2 weeks (it was like our 3rd date).

Ladies, please listen to this!! I’ve always dated men older than me (8-12 yrs older) to the point my friends joked that I had daddy issues. I married one of them too and had kids with him and he’s a terrible father. My last ex was 12 yrs older and so fucking jaded! This post described his mentality perfectly. He was done trying and just wanted something easy. He only took me out on a couple of dates in the 1.5 yrs we dated and the rest of the time he would just come over to my place to have sex …

Letting the guy you're dating pay isn't about not being independent or self sufficient, it's about vetting. Men who are genuinely interested and want to impress you will be more than happy to pay; they see it as an investment towards a future, and it makes them feel good. Men who wanna split the bill or let you pay on dates aren't investing anything in you because they don't feel the need to impress you or make you happy. Men know what they're doing when they do this; don't feel bad. I struggle …

lVN come with all the ego, but because they are inadequate, you will forever be punished for it. And they will try to guilt you because of how short they come up. (Their ego will always be bruised because of themselves) but they think it’s you. You're on point with this! Men who don't provide will always resent you for it. They love the women they provide/provided for the most cause it makes them feel like a man. The last guy I was in a relationship with always resented me and I never understood…

That's exactly what they are, emotional vampires! My ex sucked the life out of me. I had to help him sort through his family trauma that was so draining and he didn't appreciate shit. He still discarded me after he was done, then had the nerve to try to come back when he realized he wasn't gonna get that somewhere else. Honestly, him dumping me was the best thing he could've done for me cause I was too stupid to do it myself and he really was sucking the joy out of my life. I've always been happ…

For sure! I'm used to having to tone myself down to make others comfortable (cause of their own insecurities). Now that IDGAF and am unapologetically me, I'm being celebrated/loved by the right people. This guy will laugh and hold my face while planting a big kiss on me whenever I say or do something stupid that would normally annoy my ex bfs. It's still too early in the dating stage to tell what's gonna happen with him, but I know that I will never go back to watering myself down to make someon…

My ex could never memorize my coffee order even though I told him a million times and he would get annoyed and ask me to text it to him cause it's so specific. The guy I'm seeing now laughed when he heard me order it for the first time and said he wasn't laughing at me, he was just amused/impressed cause I know what I want. He only had to hear me order it once to memorize it too. I was shocked that he remembered it a few days later just from overhearing it cause my ex made it seem like it was so…

Yes please ladies listen to this!! I wasted so much time with my ex and was so frustrated because he played the part so well but in the end it was all bullshit. He knew how to love-bomb and said all of the right things, but his actions proved otherwise. Pay attention to actions/patterns/consistency. Most men know how to fake shit to make you love them but can't keep up the act for long. That's why vetting and dating before attaching yourself is so important!!

Dude yes! Every ex I've had would talk about their ex's all of the time. They would be all bitter about it and then tell me "so glad you're not like her" but yet they would do more for them than they would for me. I was seeing someone recently for a couple of months who treated me so well that I was thinking about a future with him, till I realized he talked about his ex's a little too much. Even though he spent so much time with me and was overall great to me, I just couldn't look past that. I …

Why would he have to choose? He’s always smoking and it’s never stopped him from doing anything. If a guy doesn’t wanna see you then he will use anything as an excuse. If they want to see you, smoking weed isn’t gonna stop them. This guy will smoke a blunt on his way to surprise me with lunch lol

I don’t know man. The guy I’m seeing now is a huge stoner and also the sweetest, most loving/attentive, hardworking and goal setting guy ever. He is successfully self employed and runs around all day every day being super productive all while stoned and still finds time to see me even if it’s just to drop off lunch or give me a kiss on his way to a job site. I saw him almost every day this past week and he still made it a point to say he misses me and wants us to have more quality time together.…

This!! Keep your options until you find someone who is consistent in showing you he's serious about you. Date around and you can keep going on trips and stuff with him just don't make him a priority and don't invest yourself emotionally with him. I had to take a step back and remind myself that although the guy I'm seeing is overall good to me, I have to keep my options open and date until there's a ring on my finger. They're cute when they're unique/tailored to you. I remember I used to cringe when my ex's would call me certain names cause they were so generic. The guy I'm seeing now has the cutest pet name for me and it came from an inside joke and I love it cause it's specifically for me.

I don't know man, my ex was a single dad (I'm a single mom) and he was a terrible bf. He would only want me around his kids when it was convenient for him (when he needed help with them) but would throw in my face that I wasn't the mom and that's why his ex came first. He expected me to bond with them but didn't give me my place as his woman and even freaked out when his son asked me to text him a pic saying that it was inappropriate to do that and that I should've asked permission first because…

He’s spitting game dude. He doesn’t even know you but wants to buy a gift “cause he respects you?” How do you have that much respect for someone you’ve never met? He doesn’t lol that insincere approach is enough to tell you he’s just trying to play the nice guy card to get in your pants.

The guy I'm seeing is traveling out of state and he still managed to call me yesterday morning (while he was on the road). He was out of town for Thanksgiving too and he texted throughout that week to check in and also called the day of. There is no excuse! If a man really wants to pursue you, you will always be a priority.

For sure HVM don’t get like that when they’re losing you! The guy I just got exclusive with has been trying to date me since July and I would talk to him here and there but would always leave him hanging cause I was hung up on my ex hoping to get back with him. He knew this but never once complained or gave me an attitude. Instead, he stepped up his game by working on himself and fixing some things he knew I didn’t like about him. He showed through actions that he was serious about me and that h…

Dude my ex recently tried to convince me that I really didn't want commitment and would be happy being his eternal casual gf lol He was like "You of all people would be happier without commitment...." That was my ex. He would text me all day while at work then call me when I get home. I thought it was cute and later learned he was just insecure, possessive, and controlling. I couldn’t even get much done at home cause he would get butt hurt if I wasn’t constantly up his ass. He needed constant validation and ego strokes and if I didn’t do it he would accuse me of cheating.

It's his ego trying to make you want him. A lot of men can't handle rejection. I turned down a guy and he kept insisting and not listening, then started low key dissing me on social media (hinting that I'm a catfish) and just being cocky like he didn't care, then a couple of days ago he messaged me saying he missed talking to me like wtf lol I didn't even talk to him much. Looks aren't everything! Honestly the better looking guys annoy the shit out of me cause of they're so full of themselves. I recently started dating again after a bad breakup, and have had plenty of guys interested, but the only one that caught my attention is someone that wasn't really "my type." He's got a little extra weight on him and dresses "urban" lol which was a turnoff before, but after talking to him and hanging out with him, I feel like an ass for judging based on looks. Yeah dude I feel you on this. After a breakup in May, all of these guys came out of the woodwork professing their love and shit, and they're all just not interesting people. The ones that are interesting have other issues that maybe before I would've been ok with but after this recent ex, I got so fucking picky. I don't wanna deal with anyone's shit anymore, and it's insane to me that now that I'm not interested in dating is when every fucking guy wants to marry me and shit. I flat out tell them…
