2	A Doctor’s opinion on infant circumcision The act of circumcision for religious reasons is to show unity to the religious covenant. Also, it doesnt have to be done at birth. It could also be done during puberty, a time which you could reasonably decide if you wanted it or not. At that point, its personal choice as well as religious freedom. We cant tell other religions what to do, but know that the option to wait is available and often chosen. 1	A Doctor’s opinion on infant circumcision This is the approach I would take myself. However, I'm all for religious freedom. (unless it's literally saying shit like "murder and you will be rewarded". That not okay) as circumcision does not equal murder, im not going to stop someone for doing so religiously. The only real reason I'm all for religious reasons, is because it's not my place to just butt in and decide this for other people. Just because i agree with religious reasons doesnt mean that, if I followed that religion, I would do it. In the end it is a choice whether its performed or not. -3	A Doctor’s opinion on infant circumcision Just to clarify, circumcision is not in my religion (btw I'm atheist, just baptized at birth), and I'm not going to judge something without any widely aknowleged medical report saying that circumcision causes negative effects in most and/or all cases. Also, when I was 4/5 I was circumcised for medical reasons, and from what I remember it was entirely painless. I didnt even know I was circumcised until I was like 11/12ish.
