If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.Well if I’m looking for a good man who wants to take care of me and our future children, how else would I vet my options? A guy can be witty, charming, funny, and attractive while also being selfish and unreliable. I can’t go based on words alone for that reason. I have to go based on their actions. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/06/22 05:40 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.I can see why men would often feel used, and I don’t doubt that men get used. Women are often used for sex and that’s probably the closest I’ll come to understanding that feeling. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/06/22 05:37 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.Why would you do that when your date specifically stated they didn’t want you to? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/06/22 05:26 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.I’m pretty traditional, but not entirely. I make more than my man currently. We go 50/50 on most bills now. He paid for everything probably the first year of our relationship. I slowly took on more as we got more serious. For example, when we bought a car together we went half on it. However, I do all the laundry, dishes, vacuuming, etc. He does car maintenance, moves furniture, etc. He enjoys cooking more than I do so he prefers to do it himself lol. Emotionally, we’re both there for each other… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 08:36 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.Yeah that’s the whole point. Weed out the ones who don’t lol. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 08:29 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.I genuinely want to have a civil conversation about this bc I’m interested in your viewpoint. I’ve only dated in a more traditional way so I don’t know much else. So I hope you don’t take this offensively. Does it work for you? Have you gotten and maintained a long term relationship? I’m going on 5 years with my man and it’s been awesome. I’m very proud of the man he is. I know for a fact that he is always willing to go above and beyond for the relationship. He’d move mountains for us. I tell hi… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 07:33 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.I’ve never had to put any extra effort on my part to get 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dates so why would I start? How does that make my dating experience better? There’s no incentive and only attracts guys I wouldn’t even want. I want guys like you out of my dating pool, because that’s not what I’m looking for. And most guys absolutely have no problem with it. I’d say you’re in the minority of guys who do have a problem with courting. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 07:31 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.I absolutely love the way you worded this. So true. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 07:27 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.Eh I mean it’s fine to disagree with who pursues who. But in my experience as a woman, I have not had to pursue men because there have been enough options being presented to me lol. So yeah, if a guy wants me in particular he has to pursue me because I will never do it lol If a guy wanted me, and expected me to pursue him equally he’d never get me. He’d have to find someone else who actually wants to pursue him, which I’m fine with and I’m sure has happened already without my knowledge. So I alw… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 07:22 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.I feel like you’re failing to consider that there are men who prefer pursuing women, and have no problem paying for the date. That’s your competition when it comes to a woman. The same can’t be said the other way around. There aren’t loads of women offering sex to a single guy in exchange for a time/relationship over other potential options. And even if there was, so be it. I have no problem if a man I was talking to picks another girl over me because she gave him sex faster. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 07:17 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.Why would I give him sex? He is offering to pay for a date. I take him up on it. There’s nothing more to it. No one forced him to ask me out and pay. Why would I look at my options and ever pick the guy who isn’t willing to pay unless I sleep with him? Also it’s his job to pursue me, not the other way around. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 07:14 PM
If you expect men to pay on the first date, then you don't get to complain about the wage gap.I absolutely do. And every man I dated has met that expectation without complaint so why would I change my expectations to accommodate men who don’t even like me enough to pay for a date? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 29/06/22 07:07 PM
Can men ever do “enough?”I agree with you entirely. My man doesn’t have an overwhelming amount of money, but he works hard. He doesn’t have a whole bunch of time, but when he does he makes time for me. I appreciate that, and it is more than enough for me because I love him. Between us we have enough, and we split chores so no one feels like they’re doing all the work. This is very much a communication thing, because as long as both people are on the same page then it’s fine. We both have had to sit down sometimes and ju… | /r/MensRights | 30/09/21 03:14 AM
