I needed to read something like this today.

I really appreciate this answer. The WISNIFG was so helpful to me in starting to enforce my assertive rights. But none of these changes to my own behaviour has elicited any change in her behaviour back. When she is rude/critical/condescending/lazy. I call it out and it means nothing to her. I wish I knew what the problem was. The cycle has really been along the lines of, her acting shit/rude, being a poor mother and a bad wife. Me not rising to it, stepping up and compensating parent wise. And a…

So.. this is the thing. Every day I wake up and i'm my happy normal self. If I were to estimate what she was like every day, I'd say that she was cold/angry 100% of the time. So I begin off attempting to be fun/game being enjoyable to be around. She is angry immediately as soon as she has woken up and so I remove the nice card and then get on with my own stuff. I suppose I want to know if other people have a wife that is 100% bitch all the time? Because it leaves zero room to game or really inte…

I do lots with my kid and try to have as much fun as possible. I've stopped bothering with dates, or really interacting with my wife as she's so unpleasant to spend time with, I prefer to put my time and attention into other avenues where I am happier. So I see friends without her, train without her. She doesn't like being a mum and refuses to work so money is tight, she doesn't like that. But it's up to her if she gets a job or not. I keep my child in childcare as they are much better off being…

It's been a few months to get to this and I think I agree... the confusion is what I thought might be the outcome independence. Good shout on the covert contract, I need to reflect on this as I don't feel as thought i'm doing this in the hope that she gets a point so to speak. I just don't ever think in certainties and in the small eventuality where she gets out of the dingy and grabs hold of the main mast on the deck then that's ok too.

Sweet username! Umm, preferred outcome is re-structuring myself so i'm less leveraged on the property as it's risky right now in UK, and so that we are no longer tied to it and the danger of having to pay for it for her to live in is reduced as I can't afford it without dual income. And then get myself into a position where my income is going towards financial independence planning for the future. Whether we stay together or not, i'm not sure I have a bias either way.. I have low expectations of…

I hear you, the advice I received from my lawyer in April was she really needs to go back to work before contemplating divorce, but she's still unemployed. It's not that she's refusing to work, but she's filtered her job search in such an obsessional manner, she will only apply for jobs she likely won't get and puts an inordinate amount of time into it. Instead of seeing it as a numbers game. So she has had 3 interviews this year, reckons she's spendning 40 hours a week hunting for jobs, but she…

How did the main event go down, did one of you move out, and for how long? Also, do you have children?

My wife is exactly the same. Her mood ranges from flat/catatonic through to angry/snarky critical. She constantly fails at parenting, wifing. Nothing changes her poor attitude. My journey through the standard MRP plan at the moment is enabling her to lay on her ass and gawk at instagram for hours day and night now - she's loving the space to just obsess over herself at the expense of our daughter and everyone else.

My wife's exactly the same, although on the daily reset - I'll cheerily say good morning, to be met with snarls and anger. Needless to say, I don't approach her in the mornings. Have better things to do like hang out with the daughter who is excited to see me.

I know how to control her when i'm there, it's when i'm not - my wife gives them to her and lets her rip them up. I don't think its right, no matter the cost of the books to let a child think it's OK.

It's an honour to have some feedback from the BPP!! I've watched all your youtube videos and read the 12 levels of dread at least weekly. It's an interesting one, as I think the thing that has really baked my noodle, is, as I have been discovering redpill theory. And especially MRP, with the onus on me. Where is the line between an unhappy wife who just needs a little more desire and strong leadership in her life, vs a bad egg who is just totally fucked and in need of god knows what. My frame is…

Good shout on the DARE not DEERing, i'm practicing this daily.. It's quite funny in some ways, as she is so guarded and deceptive about what she's up to all day. I've stopped asking as it was her who was always DAREing me. I stick to pleasantness and if she's in a shitty mood or wants to start complaining, I deflect, repeat, exit... She's been sleeping in the spare room for the past month as she has given herself insomnia from going cold turkey on one of her mood balancing meds, so I believe she…

Super appreciate this viewpoint, the whole mental health side of things has been a tricky one for me. Especially since finding MRP and hitting up the side bar and learning more about how i've in the past been trying to fix her/help her. She supposedly had post natal depression, fought the public health system for a year, refused meds, ended up in a secure hospital, mocked the whole thing via instagram stories and got let out after receiving not meds or therapy. Finally got on some CBT in Decembe…

Thanks, so I saw one lawyer in April. High level feedback was, to get prepped this will all hut you less if you can get her back to work and also sell your house whilst inside the relationship. I'm not sure if their above the waist advice strictly applies to my wife.. i've researched a specialist lawyer firm that deals with train wreck / personality disordered partners. I'm going to go see them, had to wait for my funds to recover after all the therapy I sent my wife on. Appreciate all the advic…

I have and am considering it. I saw a divorce lawyer in April, and the feedback I received was, If and when it comes to the crunch I really need her to be back at work so the differential in our earnings is lower and therefore the chances of spousal maintenance is lower. They also advised me that if that's the direction I want to go in, then selling the house whilst inside the relationship would be a great strategy for not needing to have to settle that in court later. I had really been thinking…

We used to have a cleaner, I could get another one. Worry about the message that sends out. I think i'm getting the point that it's actually irrelevant in your eyes and it's more about me being more content with the living environment I have to come home to? It grates on me hard how she just expects everything, we drive a 400 dollar car, not because I can't afford something sweet (cars were a huge passion of mine before her). But we drive it, as a) i'm painting the picture of being impoverished …

That's what I have bee hoping the dialing down of access to funds and any pampering would initiate in her a genuine desire to go earn her own money. Is your thinking, keep at the MAP for myself lift/stfu and say set a timeframe in which i need to see her gain a job, and then if it's truly her... take those steps?

So I took steps in Jan to get her to a private doctor, and a therapist, and some others. Long story short, she's on meds. There's no alcohol in the house anymore, check. That's as recent as two weeks ago. She's very sneaky about it though. I was checking in daily about the job stuff, and CV up until last Tuesday. She went totally thermonuke in the eve, screaming and shouting at me about not wanting me to get involved, so I had to exit the convo and StFU. I'm on the up early, working hard routine.…

I'm new here, but I've recently finished The Rational Male, and been smashing Rollo's blog also. One thing that I really took to heart was the concept of evaluating a woman for her quality as a life partner. A lot of the fellas comments on here are mentioning 'red flags' and I wanted to try and apply some of my new found knowledge on this matter. I speak to you, as a man who is married (of 3 years) with child with a woman who is absolutely completely not wife/mother material. There were flags be…

Thank you for the motivating comments, I'm on it. I have a feeling the rope may be several miles long, as she doesn't even register that i'm busy. She has suddenly started aggressive dieting however, and has lost a stone. It's hard to tell if that's because i'm on it hard, or she's prepping to leave. Dam it, I'm feeling the fucking dread!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to attempt this tactic next time she blows up and goes full cunt mode. I'll either turn the car around, tell her to get out or not even embark on the journey. I've begun to set boundaries, i'm going to take it to the next level. Can I ask, how long did it take for your wife's attitude to change?

Thanks for the reply. I'd started to take care of more of the washing/laundry so I could tidy the house up too off my own back. The limiting of my time and attention away from her does seem to be having the effect you mention of her doubling down. Just hitting up instagram more, and chatting weird cuckoo stuff on there. She goes through cycles of binge drinking for a few months, then when she's gotten fat. Starves herself down again - she's just started the latter phase now. I'll be re-reading f…

Shoring up my frame again, and going to dial the time/attention back to the things I want. I suppose every man's situ is different. The behaviour she is capable of is so shitty, it just took me by surprise how high she could turn the volume up.

Thank you for the feedback. Did you divorce your first wife before finding MRP? How did child arrangements shape up for you? I'm getting my frame back, it's taken a week nearly.. going to be super vigilant with not giving my time away to her as it is not deserved and better spent.

Every time I decide to spend time with her, I get burnt for the decision. Now I'm in a position where I am pondering if I should spend time with her at all.
