So, you admit in this comment: You know what I watched the video and you are right, she actually seems pretty level headed. Maybe I jumped to conclusions here after looking up the titles of her books. That you only read the titles, yet in your comment above you call her a man basher "in all of her writings..." Which is it? You know her, have read her books or you haven't? You basically know diddly-squat about her and you've condemned her as a man-hater. Way to jump to conclusions there, bucko. Q…

No, not necessarily. There have been a few cases of necrophiliacs that have dug up bodies or abused them in a morgue setting.

The word you're looking for is segue. A segway is a two-wheeled motorized personal vehicle and has nothing to do with transitioning smoothly to another, related topic.

I'm sorry your friend died, the loss must sting and I'm sorry you're hurting. As for him dying because he's male, no, sorry. He could have gone to a hospital or doctor's office and worked out a payment plan. Or of it had been an emergency the ER would have seen him right away. Many men fail to seek this care (that is readily available to them). I'm not sure if it's stoicsm or some weird societal pressure to suck it up but I feel like it's pervasive and dangerous. There exists ways to access care…

You know that gay women exist, too, right? And they'd also be subject to arrest under the conditions laid out by the Russian minister.

Well, .1% of the population is affected. I'd say a significantly higher percentage of women give birth. Lets not okay oppression/pain Olympics. Childbirth hurts. Cluster headaches hurt. Don't minimize the pain of one to make a petty argument point.

You got banned for brigading (linking to a post from here). It's one of the very explicit rules written in the sidebar. Either you willfully ignored the rule, or you're a petulant child who needed to win an argument you were clearly losing.

This entire post reads as "Oh look at me! I'm so enlightened! ALL WOMEN SUCK! Tell me how awesome it is I've defected to the cool kid's side." The reason you're upset is that people had the nerve to be creeped out when some dudebro said something disturbing and creepy. Ok. You're not snowflaking at all, right.

You've now reiterated that you screamed at a random woman after she gave you an unwanted response. Was her initial reaction to you poor? Maybe. Could you have been a grown-up and just left her alone after that? YES. But instead you decided to reinforce her initial reaction which was FEAR. This whole thread is full of people calling that woman paranoid, but why is she that way? Maybe it's because day in and day out she has to deal with dudes on the street who harass her and then yell at her for n…

Yes, she's wretched for not wanting to engage with a man who approached her at night on a dark street and then screamed at her for not complying with him.

Even if we leave that bit aside... He doesn't describe anyone else on the street. He also says it was dark and he was drunk. Did you miss the part where he starts SCREAMING AT A STRANGER IN THE DARK? Or, are your comprehension skills poor?

So let's break this down for a second.... We..... found an awesome, secluded spot by the water that pretty much afforded a front-row seat. You were in a secluded part of the city. We sat in awe of the fireworks and sipped on a bottle of Brandy Got somewhere near drunk... I called out, "Excuse me sir or madam, but could I buy a cigarette from you?" This isn't correct, specifically, she simply vanished. There was no petition because she was declared missing and later, dead. You can't get child support out of someone who is missing and/or dead. Now that she's back, there will likely be criminal and civil penalties.

I like the scatterbrained aspect of this Subreddit. If a woman violates a custody order she's contemptible, but if a man gets arrested and then POINTS A GUN at someone he's a justified / a goddamn hero!! That logic is BRILLIANT.

Most MRAs will tell you no. If you take them at face value they'll say that feminism is poison and they suffer living under it. Some will adopt the banner of egalitarianism (which isn't very egalitarian if you're really looking). If you're asking wether I think that Demmian is both a Feminist and a MRA I'd say no. He's a MRA with some poorly veiled attempts to appear feminist. That's why he lets MRAs troll the sub and tell feminists how stupid they are.

He wasn't 'defending' as in your scenario. He went to the Foster Home and pointed a gun at someone (who was likely unarmed). That's not anywhere near what you're talking about.

Threatening someone with a gun is never a appropriate response. Tying up your own MIL is equally troubling. This man is disturbed.

He was arrested in Louisiana, but good try. None of this mitigates the fact that he did not have legal custody and he once threatened a foster parent with a gun or tied his MIL up and ran off with the kids. The police were wary enough of both he and his wife's behavior during their arrest that the courts terminated their rights. This speaks to serious, disturbing patterns. Further, I'd like to point out that having marijuana is illegal in Louisiana. He knew that and so did his wife. You don't wa…

Except he did, in fact, kidnap his kids. The grandmother had custody because he and had been arrested. During that arrest he and his wife made threats regarding taking their 'ultimate trip to Armageddon'. He was arrested on drug charges that day and subsequently their parental rights were terminated. So he went to the grandmother's house, tied her up and he and his wife fled with the children. This is kidnapping. ProTip: Try reading credible sources before posting about shit you find on fox.

Well, you claim in your comment that the biggest cause of ADHD is bad parenting. As for this 'genetic' ADHD, is there a test for it? Did you get your genome sequenced? It would seem to be a big claim to make that 'single mom's with kids by three different dads' and 'bad parenting' are the biggest causes of ADHD and yet you have one of the rare cases of 'genetic' ADHD.

Why does any company market their gender neutral products/services to one gender? For example: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/10/dr-pepper-ten-no-women-al_n_1003651.html Why is diet soda being launched with a campaign specifically designed to marginalize women? The tl;dr version is this: companies hire marketing firms that try to target all kinds of market segments. This often results in genderizing of non-gendered products. And many times, if it's done badly (as is the case with the one …

My husband and I go to the same place for haircuts. He has thicker longish hair and it takes nearly twice as long to cut his hair than it does mine; I'm done in under 30 mins, his takes at least an hour. I have a fairly straightforward cut; trim the ends, bangs, and a few layers. His is complicated. I pay about 60% more for my cut that he does. For no reason other than I'm female. Well, that depends a lot on the angle of entry and depth of the woman. Just as all penises are not the same size, neither are vaginas. Some are, indeed, deeper than others. The best position for slow controlled pressure (for me, at least, and likely for a lot of other women) is from behind (AKA doggy-style) with her back arched. Alternatively, lifting her legs (over the man's shoulders when he is on 'top') is another way to get very deep. Edit: let me also add, since you wondered, there are ways…

Even /r/askwomen allows a male voice. Here's their recommendation (it's not even in the damn rules): Add flair! We have flair for men, women, transgender, and gender neutral. If you are not a woman, you can still offer input. If your view conflicts with a woman's, feel free to say so, but we ask that you do not downvote or invalidate her response.
/r/MensRights19/02/13 08:53 PM

'Sharing ideas and comparing opinions and perspectives' implies conversation. The asker and the respondents can be of any gender otherwise they would explicitly state 'male only responses please'. No one has been excluded by the policy. Spend more than five minutes there and you'll notice that the bulk of the answers tend to come from men or a male perspective. A lot of the comments that are from women are follow-up/tangential questions.

Well, if you want the rules of the subreddit changed to exclude women, then start your own male-only sub. A ton of men chime in at in /r/askwomen. I think there's room for dialog if everyone knows who they're dealing with (I'd say that 95% of the regular participants identify their gender). I've only chimed in as a second level poster (not top-level) to further explain something from a woman's perspective (like this particular question) and all of my responses were marked. Or they were a response to a woman asking a follow up question. Some women like penis-punching (YMMV in all cases). I'd, just, a…

Sure. Some like that more than others. But what I was trying to convey is that if you're not ready to be bashed (he's been going slow) and he starts pounding it can be uncomfortable for a lot of women. For me, I enjoy pain if I'm ready. I can angle my hips to prevent the uterus jostling. Again, YMMV (as with any sexual thing) between partners.

For me (and you'll get different answers from different women because, hey! we're different!) it can be either pleasurable or quite painful. Deep, slow pressure stimulating the cervix is amazing. It generates a pressure that is unlike clitoral or vaginal stimulation alone. It creates a feeling of deep fullness that I (and I've heard other women) crave when we're craving penetration. Some women, when turned on, feel empty and want to feel the pressure of a penis deep inside them. It's almost a pa…

Sure, but the same can be said about radical MRAs, no? Or, oh you're a feminist, I thought you were smart? Yes, I've had IRL MRAs say these things to my face. I'd say it's the other way around. Rad fems are reasonably uncommon (as a feminist, I've met maybe two) and lesbians are much more common (I know dozens of real-life lesbians and not the sex-hating fake ones referred to by EleisonJoy). I think many people seem to get this perception backwards because they view feminism through one single lens.

I don't think it's obsessive to point out the hypocrisy of a group willing to lap up this terrible line of thinking and yet posts BS facebook comments as legitimate men's right's advocacy. Men face real issues in society and yet THIS is condoned. Hatred of women. Disposability of women. And I'm obsessive? Right.

Yes, every time I've ever rejected a man it was for 'personal entertainment' because all women are sociopathic bitches, AMIRITE? I've never once rejected a man because: *I wasn't attracted to him. *I wasn't looking for a relationship at that given time in my life. *I wasn't interested in casual sex at that given moment. *I had a boyfriend or was married already. No, none of those reasons ever crossed my mind. It was always about humiliation. I'M SO GLAD YOU OUTED ME.

Uh... no.. I've not. I've never fantasized about killing anyone, not even my rapist. Never. That's because I'm sane and not sold on hatred as a valid ideology.

No, they don't like bullies who laugh at misery, but they sure like bullies who fantasize about punching/killing women who fuck anyone but him.

My favorite part(s): When i hear a woman tell me that she’s gone through a dry spell and not had sex in over X weeks/ months.. i feel like putting my fist through her face. When i hear a woman tell me that she just picked up a random guy for a night of fun because she was lonely, i feel like i’m glad i don’t own a gun. When i hear a woman tell me that i shouldn’t feel bad about having gone without for so long, after all it’s only just sex, i feel like disfiguring her face with a scalpel. Nice. R…

So, to reverse the situation, if I were to post a link here to some site that claims that men are illogical and whorish (common claims about women on AVfM) from some site that TONS of feminists hold up as a beacon of hope you don't think that this community would be up in arms? That they'd say 'any claim made by that site is suspect?' If you don't think so, you're quite foolish.

One person who posts in the /r/feminism to rabble-rouse and get a response and then links it back for this entire community is, by definition, brigading. No one over there is obliged to appreciate this behavior. Also, they're not obliged to appreciate your feminist-hating sites either. It's like saying "Oh they're just making ad-hom against stormfront over in /r/blackpower." The vehicle for the message (however worthy you deem it) is important and AVfM and JtO have proven what they really are ti…

Consequences from (what seems to be consensual) drunken sex cannot be rightfully considered slavery. You are delegitimizing actual slave suffering when you use hyperbolic language. He is not and likely will never be a slave.

Oh no, the thread(s) where this was posted make it clear that this was serious. I agree that blackout drunk people can't consent. But many many posters on this sub were not of that mindset and objected to any implication of rape if the woman was drinking. Edit: see this comment on this exact thread as an example.

Really? He used the word "RAPE" in the title. If he doesn't have an issue with the 'sex' then why call it rape?

The NY Times lays out a generalized case: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/23/us/native-americans-struggle-with-high-rate-of-rape.html?pagewanted=all Native American women rarely see justice for their rapists. They aren't making the claim white or native but saying that whites who live off reserve don't fall under the jurisdiction of the tribal councils. And police forces are usually small and under-staffed.

So a simple google search took me to the Lincoln Park chamber of commerce: http://www.lincolnparkchamber.com/business/lincoln-park-demographic-information/ Where it states that the population breakdown is thus: Total: 69,188 Male: 33,354 Female: 3,8345 Sic So your conclusion that: more than 60% of the people who live in this neighborhood are women. Is easily verified as false. The number is 55.4% female, which is only slightly above the US population average of 51% female.

-So let's sum up: If the custodial parent makes enough to not be on welfare: no child support. In this scenario, do you think that the non-custodial parent should get ANY say in how a child is raised? I think no say whatsoever. And contact should be limited. If a parent is so disinterested in the welfare of their child that they cannot be bothered to contribute to the costs associated with raising said child they shouldn't get any say on how the child is raised and limited visits. Also, what abo…

I would just like to point out the ridiculousness of this type of thinking. In the US getting food stamps indicates that you are VERY poor. The average household income of a SNAP beneficiaries is $731 per month (which is just over 8k per income for a year!). Welfare (TANF) requirements vary from state to state eligibility typically is maxed out when income exceeds 150-200% of the poverty level. For a family of three this is about 28-32k per year before taxes. Recipients must have less than $2,00…

He said HE NEVER WANTED KIDS IN THE FIRST PLACE. She fucked up once with the BC and he still relied on her to control the situation for 9 years. That's unreasonable considering the failure rates of hormonal birth control with typical use. The surest way would have been for him to get the vasectomy but he was too scared. So he abdicated responsibility to someone else for 9 years! It's not apples to oranges when serious shit is involved. All the risks and responsibilities were hers but he doesn't …

It's completely unreasonable to expect someone else to do the dirty work for you for 9 YEARS and he said he was SURE he didn't want kids. BC carries risks, has TONS of side effects and isn't always reliable (as we see here). If you're sure of something (like not wanting children) why not manage it responsibly? BC isn't like taking aspirin either. It's hormones that alter the entire chemistry of your body. Infections? Let's talk about blood clots and death from taking BC. A baby is a lot more cos…

Why didn't he get a vasectomy? He said he was SURE he didn't want kids. Now he has two! With typical use the pill has a 7-8% failure rate. A vasectomy has a .1% failure rate. It costs less over the course of nine years to just get the vasectomy, so why didn't he do it? He was completely content to let HER deal with the responsibility and side effects. Now, let's talk about PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. He had NONE. He could have prevented this entire situation from the get-go.

What would the ramifications for your husband be? Are you stating that if you divorced you'd change from the apparently level-headed, committed-to-fairness person you are now and try and screw him? I don't even understand this line of reasoning. Let me say that I'm both divorced and remarried. I am a strong feminist. I don't see how my feminism is relevant to my divorce. Yes, I did. Until I realized what a shitty place it was and how often it was trolled by MRAs who got upvoted while feminists who disagreed with them got massive downvotes or deleted/banned. /r/feminism is basically controlled by MRAs. This has been shown time and time again to be true. They only act quasi-hostile to active MR posters so that they can keep up the charade. A more recent study suggests the opposite. Abstract: Past research on police shootings, when examining officer characteristics, has focused on the officer's race, particularly when it is not the same as the race of the person shot. Data from 186 officer-involved shootings were used to examine whether race effects existed and, if so, would be eliminated or attenuated by controlling for officer gender, education, age, and history of shooting. Male officers were more likely to shoot than female off…
