Couldn’t agree more to the above comment. Work on yourself as hard as that is. Keep working on yourself

It doesn’t make you a horrible person. Especially if you take care of yourself

Do you want to know how to "win" the unwinnable battle? Wake up tomorrow morning. Get your shit...And walk away. Say nothing. Don't dig. Don't question. Don't speak. Don't even look at her. And most importantly....Dont hope. She knows what she is doing and doesn't care enough about you to change? As hard as it is, you have to walk away. Silently, and never look at her, speak to her, or acknowledge she exists. ever again. then you win. as pyrrhic a victory as can be sadly. but crucial nonetheless…

Fair enough man. I don’t know you. I live in Melbourne Australia, but you have to take control. Not in an aggressive way, but in a assertive way and run things the way you deem them to be run. If she doesn’t like that, well she is the loser. Let her lose. Even though I totally understand you feel like you lose too.

Mate, your hand being on her boob was not why she said that. Always thought it was quite a nice spot to rest hands on while sleeping....anyway look man If she thinks it’s over, it’s probably over. There will be other reasons. Many of which she probably won’t tell you or hasn’t told you. The children are the number one priority now. She isn’t. As the previous poster said, document things. And remember to look after yourself. It may seem like falling apart is an option right now, but if you can’t …

Hey mate, I’m so sorry you are having to go through this. In this sort of case, it’s not you that should feel worthless. Not at all. Whatever happens. If she didn’t have the integrity to not be an unfaithful person, think about how that reflects on HER not you... I didn’t have my partner cheat on me, and if she had of, I would have found it very difficult to control my anger, but remember, even though these women have crushed us, we are still ourselves. Somewhere in us is us if you know what I m…

It’s a shame because being married I’m sure can be wonderful. It’s just that so many people, men and women marry when they might not be compatible, then comes the resentment, and the detachment. Marriage in many ways is beautiful when it works. Actually helps men love longer and protects both parties against cognitive decline. But it’s full of compromise, compromise, then more compromise and eventually someone thinks they’ve compromised enough and would be better off without... It’s sad in many …

Sometimes I think we can assume the best in people we once loved or that given all the things we’ve done together, they won’t mess us around too badly. Hope for the best, but plan for the worst, please protect yourself and your assets as much as possible.

Would she be better off financially without you in the picture?

I would say do NOT see a female therapist. See a bloke who can relate to you as a man. A woman will bias everything through her point of view. She will likely have heard it all before. Men have more empathy for men going through divorce because they know how it feels as a MAN, which is not the same as for a woman. Women initiate 70 percent of divorce. Women are just as unfaithful as men. Speak to a brother

Okay.... First thing to remember here mate. You have children together, so you will always be a part of her life if you play your cards right and stay cool (I know this is bloody hard and probably goes against the anger and sadness you are feeling) As hard as it is, and I’ve learned this the hard way, you CANNOT make her do anything she doesn’t want to. You can stop her leaving or going out with other men. You share a special bond through the kids so no matter what has happened in the past this …

How long were you both together? Any children?

You’re being messed around. She sees you as safe and likely someone she can control. It goes both ways and women (not all of them) can and will use methods to subtly control guys. Sounds like you’re caught in the trap. Oh and when you said “I know she cares about me”, trust me, TRUST me, that statement has little value. From experience. You need to take a risk. If it goes wrong ok it’ll suck but if it doesn’t perhaps things might get better. You need a lay down the facts to her. Now. You want to…

Hey mate 6 months out of an 11 year relationship. I’m 32 she is 30. She is a very attractive person. I’m ok but at the moment don’t care much for that side of things. I know we weren’t together for 30 years like you but we lived together for 11 and now she is gone. I have these thoughts occasionally and they make me feel like absolute shit. There really isn’t a way around it other than not letting the thoughts begin to take hold. This is easier said than done and involves a lot of distraction an…

Hey mate, writing from Melbourne Australia. I’m sorry you’re going through this shit. Really am. I’m afraid lifting weights, exercise etc only puts a band over things. It helps, but once the effect wears off, the feelings return. The previous poster is right. Ruminating doesn’t help, but it kind of takes the mind to place it knows and understands whereas what’s to come isn’t clear anymore once that future together breaks down. The best advice I can give, is to spend time with friends and or fami…
