Women often think they know themselves to this extent to say stuff like this when they have a ton of shadow material they haven’t looked at. Same with men. So no, women don’t necessarily understand themselves or women

The appeal of this stuff for guys is validation for their suffering. Validation that they wouldn’t get anywhere else. I don’t have many ideas for you, but that’s why he got into this essentially.

An individual may or may not consent to being sexualized (and to violate consent here is kinda dehumanizing it itself) but can still feel objectified if their agency, dignity, or autonomy is compromised during the process.

It’s called being a sexual object, the person is dehumanized in that their complexity is reduced to being a sexual object.

All the data I’ve seen says the exact opposite, women are happier single and men who already tend to have weaker support systems and lack emotional support tend to not do so well. But I’m open to being challenged on this as I am a man.

Well dating apps are quite different than face to face. If you’re on a dating app the territory is different because it’s obvious that you have intentions and are looking for SOMETHING

Right but labels don’t reflect reality and forgetting this is the problem. People are more complex than any label you can give them. They also change!

I browse these into insight into how others think about things and tend to avoid commenting on this sub but this actually makes too much sense but my goal is never “to get laid” but this insightful to see how others think and approach things but since I’m commenting how getting laid isn’t my primary goal I’m probably going to get mass downvoted lol. Labeling is literally a cognitive distortion which is heavily correlated with mental health issues so you really should not care about what people l…

Interesting perspective yeah, stop trying to be everything to everyone and accept your faults, be upfront about them and offer up what you do have.
