You cant hold that absolutist position while still denying someone elses identity based on your own biases/beliefs. The only thing illegitimate is wanting everyone to be immediately accepting of an identity while simultaneously denying someone of delcaring their own identity. The logic you use to claim transphobia from the above comment is no different than the logic used by the transphobes you condemn. You cant have it both ways.

No. I'm not avoiding anything. I'm only focused on your inability to accept that people's opinions are worth just as much as yours. I'm not a troll, but you're a child. I suggest getting out more and talking to people who are different from you. You wont learn or grow by staying in your echo chamber. Stop calling people who disagree trolls in an attempt to discredit their opinions. That is a childish debate tactic and is further proof you do not have the capacity or maturity to enter into a disc…

Yikes dude, you clearly have no idea where I stand politically. Again, you have proven your own prejudices. I have given no indication of how I allign, but because I didn't automatically agree with you, you assumed I'm some far right idiot. I'm not. I just form my own opinions from what I read rather than following everything I hear. That being said, based on what you've said you seem to just follow whatever any left news network says. I typically am socially liberal, but that doesn't mean I agr…

Look man, I'm not going to criticize where you get your news. But it is definitely important to read from sources that don't always line up with your beliefs. You're only proving that you have a closed mind to anything that disagrees with you. Again. They're opinions, just because a lot of people say them it doesn't mean they're fact. I'm not going to waste any more time on this. It you're happy in your ignorance then that's fine.

Not wanting to talk to people with a difference in opinion will never lead to understanding. You're proving your willful ignorance and being divisive. People with your attitude towards differences in opinion are the reason the political climate is so polarized and hostile. You aren't playing for a team.

No. It's not bad for everyone. It's only bad for people who disagree, and even then it isn't that huge of a deal. People can have a difference in opinion. You're mistaking your own opinions and beliefs for facts. That is arrogant, selfish and immature. He deserves a due process just like any other person accused. He is innocent until proven guilty. You need to let go of your own prejudices.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
