| -4 | Alabama cops lure deadbeats into custody with football tickets"dilmo22" wrote: So you're in support of debtor's prison is what you're saying? Stop pretending to be an idiot. It's not at all like debtor's prison. If a person pays what they can afford and shows up for court to explain it to the judge, they won't get jailed. The ones who get jailed for contempt of court are those who don't even pay what they could, don't show up for court, or rant at a judge about being persecuted. | /r/MensRights | 06/08/11 10:55 PM |
| -9 | Alabama cops lure deadbeats into custody with football ticketsAwww... poor baby didn't get free football tickets. Boo-hoo. Serves them right! Thanks to them, their KIDS don't get cool stuff either! I'm not a fan of police and I don't like deceptive tactics, but I don't have any sympathy for deadbeat parents completely shirking their responsibility to their own children. And as an added bonus, you can stay in character and yell at her too, for being carelessly inattentive. Just call me "Mr. Friendly". | /r/MensRights | 04/08/11 11:51 PM |
| 3 | Taking an unreasonable ex back to court for custody. Advice?I doubt you'll have much chance of success. I don't think that "being unreasonable" is sufficient grounds to make changes to custody. A judge has some leeway in how they decide things but that's only when there's a legally justified decision to be made. They can't just make up new orders because someone doesn't like how things are going. If you had pushed for custody during the divorce you might have gotten more. But now you're asking for a new action and you'll have to prove that there is a leg… | /r/MensRights | 04/08/11 03:39 PM |
