that’s not true, she has a PhD in Cultural Studies. I still personally think that it’s a Mickey Mouse degree but she is a professor at an Australian university, so it’s not like she’s got a completely useless career path.

that's what i'm trying to tell him, he thinks he is promoting morality but in real life, his idol was a simp. doesn't mean he was wrong to look up to his deceased Grandfather, but there is still improvement to make on his way of life before just blindly adopting it as his own just because that's who he grew up around

my father was a deadbeat and after he separated from my mother he was never seen again after age 3. you can't just assume everyone has the same experience or viewpoint as you. You can't even defend your point without stooping to dumb whatabousisms like "you wouldn't be alive if not for these values". and in reality those values didn't shape my life much at all. I asked a question and you had no comeback

So to you, the core of masculinity is being a slave to a woman and the family you made to the point that you barely see them? I don't know what this post was supposed to teach us, but it's honestly no surprise that these type of values are dying. even in previous generations, it was never really worth it, social pressure just made men think of this lifestyle as the only way to live.

Do you think its possible he's just using you for money? in the same way women typically marry 'up', certain men are willing to marry up and date a woman they aren't too attracted to because they have money. and seeing as you have a past experience being the stay at home partner that didn't work (meeting this guy a month after your breakup), do you think you may be rushing into a situation with him? you note right there that he is 'not super hot' and 'not an alpha type'.
