Sometimes a shit test is playful, you’re right about a lot of things here, but i wouldn’t generalise human behaviour in one section

I never said they do it consciously. Unconscious behavioural patterns have a reason and I listed them.

That's cos your wife is a secure woman. Shit tests are a result of hidden insecurity, which most people have. When a girl is attracted to you, she doesn't like the uncertainty when you don't make a move. That's her way of dealing with her emotions.

Yep, they also test to see if you have what it takes. If you aren't easily fazed or pushed around and check your confidence level. This post is kinda bullshit

Agreed. This plays into finding a balance. Too much of a good thing turns into a bad one (being socio/psychopathic)

I recently read, we trust others not because we are confident that they wouldn’t betray us, but because we are confident that we will be okay if they do. This puts the pressure on the individual in being self sufficient, but also social. Somehow your preparation for the worst has given you the mindset every individual needs.

It could also be OP being attracted to toxic women cos he’s familiar with them since childhood. He needs to take responsibility for his taste and pick a woman who has had a LTR, is social etc. / proof of people skills to avoid misery.

This behaviour will increase. Sucks as much as it does, she liked you better when she felt you could walk away. Now she knows you’re invested and isn’t afraid to lose you. ALWAYS be ready to walk out of a relationship; it’s a healthy mindset (Mark Manson). Never think it’s forever or your frame would change to appeasing. One day you’ll snap at her and she’ll apologise like she is too dumb to have known the disrespect or may try to gaslight you some other way. I’d advise you to find someone else …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
