What's the age gap?

Never said MSNBC is balanced. Where did you get that from? I'm saying EVEN THEY criticize Biden. Biden is not worse than Trump and Fox NEVER said a bad word about him. Eta: this is why i said reputable sources or BBC vs the nonsense US cable news is. I don't agree that there is no such thing as balances reporting.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/22 11:26 PM

We'll have to agree to disagree. I've watched MSNBC criticize Biden. Fox still refuses to acknowledge any of Trump's faults. Cable news aside, if you get your news from real sources, and go outside of American sources, i.e BBC, you will get balanced reporting. People just don't want to seek it out.

It would be nice if most the people who called out HRC also called out Trump. But that was rarely the case. This isn't a comment towards you, but a general observation.

You can't make assumptions, now can you? Exactly!

But I guess you're the kind of person who catches their partner naked on your bed with another person and is like "Let's not jump to conclusions, maybe he/she was having a workout". Lol what? 😆

They're strangers to this person and the only info he has he's gotten from his friend and social media. Whatever flaws and problems he thinks they have he's either making up or guessing. Not a good way to learn.

I'm perfectly relaxed scrolling reddit, yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 10:10 PM

Ahhh. Well that's not an app I use and I wouldn't go there for my information anyone. Judging all women and feminists based on teens on TikTok is odd.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 09:32 PM

Because reddit is a place for discussion and i'm scrolling the sub while I relax.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 09:31 PM

Well, we clearly don't agree on this issue so no point in discussing anything further since we won't change each other's minds.

I've not seen a single person make this argument.

Pretty funny how I, a complete stranger, can be almost entirely sure that this marriage will end in divorce Seems like a waste of energy to think about the marriage of two people you don't even know. You seem oddly invested in these strangers.

My friend would probably not touch her with a 10 foot pole, lol Didn't he already have sex with her?

So the answer is to strip women of their rights?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 09:18 PM

Yup. I also hope you're off the mark, but there's going to be a horrible ripple effect from RoevWade being overturned. To say we're going backwards is an understatement.

Don't worry the government has a plan for that. Just ban ALL abortions even in case of rape and incest! Problem solved. Easy peasy! 🙄

I recently bought sandals from Costco. Idk what that says about me. Probaby that my days of being cute and young and regularly getting hit on are over 😆. I'm mostly fine with that, though.

I'd pick Disneyland over Disney World, but I'm in California and super biased 😛 For what's it worth I went to Universal Studios in February and wait times were non-existant. BUT, I think that's because it was considered off-season and the park was only open from 10am-6pm. Which is actually more than enough time to get through all the rides and attractions when you aren't spending 75 minutes waiting in line. Oh and if you go to Disneyland you need to pick your days in advance. That may stop being…

Oh interesting. I hear so many women say they feel like they get taken advantage of when they have sex on the first date that I never considered a man's perspective. Never even crossed my mind that sex can cloud a dude's judgement. Everything else you said I agree with and always thought it was common practice. I always offer to pay when i'm out. Would be weird not to. I feel like it's common courtesy, but i'm here wasting time on reddit so what do I know 🤷‍♀️.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/21 03:26 AM
1

Curious why you don't have sex on the first date? Not that I think all men do. Just wondering why you think you'll get taken advantage of?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/21 03:03 AM
2

A fake group that also includes my boss that just came back from 6 weeks of leave. 🤷‍♀️ I know it's anecdotal, but generalizing people never sits right with me. I'm sure there are men who don't want to stay home, just like there are some that do.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/21 04:04 AM

Maybe employers need to change their mindset and be accepting of people needing to take leave. Life happens and our employers shouldn't expect our lives to revolve around our jobs.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/21 03:20 AM

My brother-in-law just took 12 weeks paternity leave. He loved every day he got to hang with his daughter. Most men I know appreciate being able to spend time with their kids.

Interesting to me that commenter said you look white. If that's you in that pic I'd say Latino. I guess I could maybe see middle eastern, but my guess would be Hispanic/Latin. Eta: not that it matters, but it's Friday and I'm buzzed and this was the only comment I have the wherewithal to engage with in this dumpster fire of a thread.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/21 03:04 AM
2

I'm an American woman and did not picture the trafficked girl to be white. I actually don't think many people thinl "white girl" when they think of trafficked girls.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/21 06:03 AM
1

Depending where you are and who your surround yourself with you'll find people who sympathize with both the 15 year old girl who was trafficked and the 15 year old boy who was initiated into a gang. There are people working and advocating for both groups. I work in the non-profit sector, though so my view is biased.

Being voluntary doesn't negate the stress that it causes. Having a planned bio child in a hetero marriage is also voluntary, but can still be stressful. Adopting can be a heartbreaking exprience and I don't want to discount that just because it's not an "accidental" pregnancy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/21 10:11 PM
1

I guess that's kinda true. Although I know gay couples who want kids and either go the adoption route or try some sort of IVF, egg donor, surrogate, situation. Which is more expensive and stressful than the traditional route. But a lot are child free and I don't think society asks them the way they ask hetero couples about having kids.

Hmm. Maybe she's going to hang with her siblings and former stepmom. Or maybe she's trying to get a rise out of you. I don't think it's weird, but you know better than I do.

I was going to say the same about STI's, but given the crowd I figured it'd be a waste of time. All anecdotal, but I know several men and women who never got STI's and had, I guess what this sub would consider, hign N counts. I know someone who contracted herpes via a rape and someone else whose husband cheated on her and she only found out when she had an outbreak. It's luck of the draw sometimes and life isn't fair. And just to be fair, I also had a friend that slept with 2 people in 4 days an…

Why do you think the stakes are lower for same sex couples?

Grew up and live in Los Angeles. I regularly hold the door open for people regardless of gender and people do the same for me. That whole women getting mad at men for holding the door open for them is such a tired trope.

I think you need to tell yourself that women use this supposed "strategy" to help make you feel good about yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 07:57 AM
1

Gross. The way you speak about and view women is disgusting. Relationships are not games and implying someone can "win" another person tells me you think and treat relationships like they're games to be played and won. You can't force anyone to want to be with you, doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. When someone says they aren't interested no one should stick around and try to make them change their mind. That's desperate and pathetic. Also, dating other people doesn't mean you're having…

What is this town bike nonsense? Where did OP indicate she wants to sleep around and if she does why do you care? This man isn't interested in a relationship with this woman. There's no reason for her to wait around and hopes he changes his mind. This goes for men, too. If a woman tells you she isn't interested "right now" move on. Don't waste time waiting. Man, woman, hetero, gay, it doesn't matter. Too many people waste time with people that aren't interested in them and life is too short for …
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 11:44 PM

In this case I don't think OP should waste 6 monts to a year sorting out her feelings or waiting for this guy to do the same. It doesn't seem like they were in a relationship, rather she has feelings for him because they've been friends. I don't personally know any women or men for that matter, that jump from person to person every week, but what does that have to do with OP? Why does she need to be single? She caught feelings for a guy friend, he doesn't reciprocate, so it's time for her to mov…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 08:44 PM

Agree. I know it's easier said than done, but going on dates while she's still talking to and seeing (?) this man isn't moving on. She needs to cut him off and look for someone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 08:30 PM

Haha! Right! It's a way to let someone know you're not interested by not being cruel. People look for deeper meanings where there aren't any.

I just commented that i saw the original post and at the time it only had about 50 comments. The OP had only replied to the 3 or 4 people that told her what she wanted to hear. I def got the vibes that she just wanted validation to prolong the inevitable that this "relationship" wasn't going anywhere. I wish I knew in my 20's what I now know in my 30's that men that want to be with you will be and it's as simple as that. There are always exceptions, but those are few and far between. As soon as …

This has been my experience as well. Most men don't overthink the way most women do.

I saw this post when it was first posted and found it amusing that OP only responded to the few people who told her what she wanted to hear. I haven't checked back so I don't know if that's changed. I almost commented on it, but I opted not to. It was clear this person didn't want an honest answer so I saw no point.

Your ex doesn't speak for all women.

There are many misogynistic women out there. I hate the phrase "pick me" but i'll use it in this instance. A lot of "pick me's" are misogynistic as hell. Their entire shtick is how they "aren't like other girls" implying there's something wrong with the way other women are and they're better than them because they're different.

How do you know she's ultra-progressive? I looked at her account and she's in Wales. I'm in the U.S. I have no idea what progressive looks like there.

These are extreme examples. There's an entire range of men between the 21 year old college student and the 35 year old CEO. I'm also going to add that I've yet to come across a 35 year old CEO. The CEO's at the places I've worked at have all been in their 50's. With that being said if I was also 20 or 21 I'd pick the guy my age. Which is what I did when I was in my early twenties. It's also what all my friends did. We weren't interested in men 15 years older than us and we weren't ready to be ma…

I don't visit this sub often because the comments make my head hurt. People can be so extreme with their views here because it's the internet and they can be. I would hope in real life they're a little more flexible and understanding.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 06:48 PM
4

This is exactly how I feel about the topic as well. In real life I can only think of one person off the top of my head that's in a relationship with a 10+ year age gap. I prefer someone near my own age and always have. I don't care about other people's age gaps, either.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 05:57 PM

These men forget that all women were 20 once and most of us did NOT date an "unattractive 40 year old" when we were 20.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 05:54 PM
4

Exactly. I don't understand this thought process. Also, some people here act like men don't have "baggage" the way women do
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 05:17 PM
5

I have a lot of friends that wanted to be married and none of them marriend men 15 years older than them. Sure, this is anecdotal, but your generalization you're making is also anecdotal. There's a whole gray area between a poor man your age that can't provide and a successful man 15 years older.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/21 05:12 PM

The woman they're using as an example of above average is definitely attractive, but it's not a fair comparison. Her picture is filtered and she's wearing makeup. The other girl isn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 11:48 PM
2

She has a right to be annoyed and doesn't owe it to other girls to be flattered on their behalf. Anyway, I'm pretty certain you're a troll and engaging with you is a waste of time so I'm gonna stop interacting with you. It's been fun though!
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 05:38 PM
3

I agree with you. I've been on both sides as well. I've gotten a lot of unwanted attention and I've gone through a period of not getting any. I try not to project my personal feelings onto other people. If I wasn't getting attention and saw this video I wouldn't think this girl has no right to complain because at least she's getting hit on. This isn't a positive interaction and it's nothing to envy.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 05:24 PM

Nah dude. He's not "shooting his shot" he's making her uncomfortable and not picking up on very obvious cues that she's not interested. I was cringing inside while watching this. I've been in her shoes before and it's not a good time.

I didn't realize kids/teens were still using snapchat. I thought they were all about tiktok these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/21 04:52 PM

If you say so. Many women I know, myself included, have had bad experiences with men. Doesn't mean I think all men are terrible.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 11:35 PM
1

There is no explanation I can give that you'll agree with. You've decided that woman who want funny men are dull and want a man to be funny so they'll be entertained. You've made up your mind about this so why should I try to change it?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 11:34 PM
2

Your age is irrelevent. You've had bad experiences with a handful of women and assume that means they're all the same. That's ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 11:29 PM

I think you're projecting and assuming nefarious intent where there isn't one.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 11:28 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 08:59 PM

Untrue.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 08:58 PM
3

Oh interesting. Now I'm gonna wonder if other men pick up on those vibes when they're dating, but ignore them because it benefits them when they hear a woman say she doesn't want something serious. Haha. For sure. There are situations where getting married doesn't make sense or someone has a legitimate reason why they don't want to. I respect that. What I don't understand is people actively pretending it's not something they want. People make life so much more complicated than it has to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 08:57 PM
2

What do you think it says about a person when funny is a requirement for them when it comes to a partner? Looks fade, money comes and goes, tough times are guaranteed. Having a partner to laugh with during the good and the bad is priceless.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 08:36 PM
3

Take this with a grain of salt because idk you two in real life, obviously, but I wonder if she felt like she had to say that. There's been a shift in society over the last few years and a lot of women feel like they have to pretend they don't want a serious relationship because they might scare off the guy or they think it makes them seem desperate. This doesn't apply to everyone, but maybe it's something your lady was grappling with and didn't even realize it. Some of what we do happens on a s…

I agree with this. People in relationships need to be on the same page when it comes to saving, budgeting, frugality. It's amazing how often that isn't the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 07:22 PM
5

I crack myself up and enjoy my own company and rarely feel "bored" when I'm alone. I love funny men, not just as romantic partners, but as friends. Actually, i'm changing it to, I like funny people. Some of my best girlfriends are hilarious and I love that about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 07:13 PM

I'm not familiar with FDS, but even as a woman I wouldn't necessarily be offended if a man asked me about porn. It would depend on the context and the rapport I have with that person. I have no idea how OP came to the conclusion that if someone asks if you play video games they're trying to steal your identity. And I thought asking what someone does was just one of those standard questions people ask. Silly me.

Honey, I don't need nor want to apply to med school. I have a good job and like what I do. I also don't let work define who I am. /r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 05:48 PM

Lol @ propaganda I don't care how many hours you work. I guarantee you there are doctors that find time to cheat. Your blanket statement that white collar workers have no time to cheat is ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 03:37 AM
1

That's the kinda shit I like to witness from afar, but want nothing to do with in real life. It sounds too wild for me. Also I'm of the belief that most people getting cheated on know it's happening on some level and opt to ignore it. I have a friend who cheats on his wife and he thinks he's so slick, but there's no doubt in my mind she has an idea it's happening.

Yikes! Wtf? How did they get away with it?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/21 10:36 PM

Your comment makes you sound elitist. Blue collar workers often work very long hours and nights and weekends. Some work just as hard as you think you do. Then there are the JFK's, Bill Clinton's, and the Trump's of the world who manage to find time to cheat.

Hey! I don't think I have a lot of good advice and truthfully haven't spent a lot of time in the south bay even though I grew up in Los Angeles. All I can say is keep an open mind. You'll definitely see your fair share of influencers and other attractive people trying to "make it" whatever that means these days. I'm in a suburb of Los Angeles and I'm fine with it. I avoid the gentrified areas. The city I grew up in is getting gentrified and all the working class families (like mine) are getting pushed out. Which is very unfortunate. I have a lot of opinions about that, but this isn't the sub for it! Where I'm at people are just living their lives, trying to raise their families, and minding their business.

Well, the person who made that comment said they aren't a woman. I think the more likely scenario would be that women would get back alley abortions which would result in a lot of complications. This is why access to a safe abortion should be legal.

I have plants and die a little inside when people say "plant mom" or "plant babies" unironically. Plants are not children. My plants thrive on neglect. I water my succulents once a month. Pretty sure a baby would die if ignored for a whole month.

I can kind of agree with you when you say that it's ideas not resources that create wealth, but only to an extent. Few people are executing an idea all by themselves. In most cases a group effort is required. There's no way to justify a handful of people controlling the majority of the wealth.
