I had a pretty good lawyer. I was able to support AND alimony until the kids turn 18 and it looks like it even continues if I get married again. I wish I could get some years back, but I think I did OK.

I'm not sure how to phrase this, but my ex didn't want my help - like ever. At first I thought it was OK, he's just super independent. Eventually, we had kids and I could stay home. Again, I'm thinking he was taking pride in providing for us. However, somehow he started hating me because I didn't bring anything financially into the house, yet I wanted nice things like vacations and trips to restaurants or nice clothes. We eventually divorced and he got into a relationship with a 50/50 girl who i…

I think he does. From what I've heard he has at 2 ex wives. He's had two failed marriages. TWO. So he's the common factor and something's wrong with him.

So, I was a housewife. I was also going through some really bad depression. I don't know how most people handle it but my self care and cleaning skills kinda dwindled. Like I couldn't keep my hair up and a gained a bit of weight. As for the house, it got a bit disorganized and junky. Not dirty, just toys every where, piles of paper, etc. Also I was taking care of all of his work and personal details. He literally came home, ate and went to work. I took care of scheduling networking events, fligh…

Y'all want to hear something funny? My ex husband said one of the reasons why he wanted a divorce is because I didn't clean they way he liked. He would also complain about my cooking, etc. After we separated, he had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to be his personal assistant. And come clean, do laundry, schedule his trips etc like I was doing before I left. I never laughed so hard in my life.

Not the OP. But google for your local Maker shop! Or, even the recreation center. Both those options in my city have woodworking classes and shop hours where you can just mess around with your own projects, ask questions, etc. I prefer the maker shop sometimes they have ladies night classes and there are usually free resources like scrap materials that you can use to learn how to use the machines. I'm going to start learning blacksmithing and woodworking is next on my list.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
