As others have said make sure they understand its in no way their fault. Life is short do what you have to do to find happiness. Its not fun but probably necessary for everyone.

I don’t think there is any interest in seeing how the system works in this political day and age. Zero. It’s more or less by design and the winners and losers are not accidental.

Price per hour heavily depends on where you live. In major cities it’s going to be $500 to $1000 per hour for the best of the best. Ask for recommendations from anyone you know that’s gone through the process, scour for reviews online (this is nearly impossible). You could look up cases for prominent divorces in your town and see who attorneys were (and take this as a starting point to add attorneys to your list to have consultation with. It’s super difficult to find a good divorce attorney I’m …

My advice would be to experiment with many ages at this point and figure out for yourself. I’m not sure id even listen to any responses that are specific. This is your new life and you can create it as you want with no limitations.

Start divorce process. Do everything you can to support yourself (exercise, get a therapist for yourself, reading all the posts in this and similar subs about supporting yourself) and set a path for yourself. You can save a lot of wasted time by not besting yourself up about trying to save something that from what you wrote sounds like has no chance at saving. Life is so short the sooner you start walking through the tunnel of divorce the sooner you will get to the other side that is filled with…

Agree. From OP post I can tell he’s still hurting (rightfully so) and focused on her. Time to focus on yourself and let her go in all the ways. Not easy but it’s time to look out for yourself.
