They are taught to compete for men at a young age, so they are brainwashed into thinking everything is a competition.

Yes I agree with everyone keeping their hands to themselves, and being taught not to hit. However, if a small child hits an adult, the more appropriate response from the adults part should be to try to block the blows. The media plays a large role in this. Those comedies/ sit coms where the wife hits the husband when she's angry shouldn't be shown as a funny joke. This perpetuates the idea that this is normal behavior.

Yes, it is bad for both genders. However, in cases of female genital mutilation, the clitoris is cut off. Cutting off the clitoris is the equivalent of cutting off the entire man's penis.
