I don’t understand how it’s invalidating if I describe a biological reality? If I e.g. say: „dogs don’t really like veggies, it’s not what they’re meant to eat - so we shouldn’t feed them veggies all the time and morally expect them to be vegans“ - is this invalidating to dogs? OR Should we accept that their diet is primarily meat? Wouldn’t that make dogs happier? Or should we continue to play pretend that „dogs are vegans“?, because they sometimes eat a piece of broccoli?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 07:38 AM

You‘re right of course, my bad, I mean ovulating, English isn’t my 1st language. And I’m not invalidating women’s sexuality (or lack thereof). I actually have empathy for women because I think they suffer just as much as men, especially in long term relationships, because they don’t really desire their husbands, even though society tells them they should.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 07:13 AM

Idk why you make it so complicated, even though I applaud the effort and research, when reality is much simpler. Women are obviously asexual, in general. I.e. they don’t have a libido, at least not one that’s comparable to men’s, they don’t wake up horny like men, except maybe when they’re menstruating. This should be so obvious when comparing women’s behavior to men’s on dating apps, the countless dead bedrooms, the existence of brothels, and so much more. Or just look at how gay men live their…

no you don't get it it's the contrary. People on average are wayy too dumb to understand basic statistics so it's pointless to discuss abstract, large-scale trends with them because they rely on their own little bubble or something they saw in an Disney movie to find their "truth"... and are unable to change their mind
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/20 11:08 AM

That's actually a pretty accurate representation of how 99% of people here think about complex issues haha .. they don't understand statistics one bit

This reply is dumb. Painfully dumb

How do you know that? I live in Germany and this typical anti Americanism is dumb and ignorant. Have you lived in The US? Do you know how much wealthier hard working ppl are over there?

Your n=2 is irrelevant. Read studies about gay promiscuity, they exist, before playing the SJW hero
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/20 11:10 PM
1

Maybe, but again reality of the gay subculture contradicts this: there, having 1000+ partners over a lifetime isn't uncommon at all (there's studies about this - it's basically two notches every weekend over 10 years or so) would indicate that exciting sex (lots of variety, kinky, drug fueled probably) is one of the few things that we men don't really get tired of
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/20 05:43 PM
2

Yep which indicates that most ppl here claiming "I wouldn't change a bit" are delusional. They (most normal healthy men) would probably have an orgy every weekend
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/20 05:02 PM
-1

Why are gay ppl having so much (more) sex then?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/20 03:26 PM
2

You forgot the part where women are turned off by men who say they'd like to receive affection. Here's your reason why men can't say "who cares"
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/20 03:21 PM
5

Of course it's affection men crave! But go around saying "I need affection" as a man, ppl will call you gay and women will despise your neediness. I know you try to make the point that sex has nothing to do with affection, it's nonesense. Also, yeah most men have a strong spontaneous sex drive. Why don't you look for an asexual partner if you hate sex so much:)

As I said, I don't advocate for women being financially dependant on men again... I'm just saying we shouldn't kid ourselves and call our lifelong boring deskjobs "freedom" - that's like calling North Korea democratic. And thanks for the concern, I already liberated myself!:) And no, not by my parents, but by putting in the work myself. Good luck with your careers, though:)
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/20 03:34 PM

that's nice and all, but being told when to get up, what to wear, how to behave, which menial tasks to do while being locked in some cubicle or meeting room while devotingly reporting to dumb bosses is NOT freedom to me:) I'm not even advocating for men being the sole bread-winners, you women can fulfill yourselves in that role now;) It's just that I can't really respect people who trade their freedom and dignity for a paycheck. You have to be a low-test cuck to enjoy that as a male (even though…

No I agree with OP, most people blindly follow a socially-accepted “life-script” (study, wife, house, kids), especially women who are more agreeable and very sensitive to social cues. I think OPs model is promising given all we know about men & women and would work better than our current model, because the latter has terrible success rates with regards to sexual desire, esp. for women

If you can’t talk in generalizations, you can’t communicate effectively. If a study finds “young men are getting more depressed” and I see someone commenting “but not ALL men get more depressed” or even better “but I’m not depressed, and my friend Jerry isn’t depressed either”, it makes me want to rip my brain out and set it on fire. HOW CAN PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTAND BASE LEVEL STATISTICS? I causes me physical pain. (And I’m not sure if OP doesn’t get it either, reading his post) Of COURSE we are ta…

Well you might be right, but imo there’s two points to consider: 1) you probably compare gay men to straight men - and probably gay men are more experienced, because they fuck 1000s of guys (about 30% reach that number), and anal sex can be difficult - so yeah, obviously they fuck better than Straight Steve who has fucked 2 women, a total of 50 times in his life 2) I would argue straight women are even worse in bed than str8 males - why would they need to learn, it’s not required. So many starfi…

Asking this question here will result in very skewed answers since a) people LOVE to virtue signal and not liking casual sex is seen as virtuous, so this position will be very vocal here, and b) many (most?) of the commenters here are too unattractive to get casual sex with desirable people, so they rationalize being grossed out by it. Otherwise ppl would realize that relationship sex gets boring and scarce for most couples. Casual sex is better to me.

A) If being Alpha came naturally or easily to men, the majority of men would be alpha .... while in fact it’s maybe 5% or even less “true alphas” (and even they might slip) B) well, there’s a few seeming alphas I know and (apparent) Celeb Alphas (Johnny Depp, Chris Pratt, ..) who get cheated on or can’t seem to make a relationship work ... I just don’t jk is if any real life examples that I could use as proof that it works. keeping sex frequency high seems to always go hand in hand with a power …

"Why do men judge "love" from their SO based on her giving of sex (...) I agree that love and sex frequency aren't necessarily linked, there might in fact be a slight negative correlation. My estimation why some men (and women) find this a hard to swallow truth is because the social narrative has been "lots of love = lots of sex", and getting consistent, enthusiastic sex has been a main motivator for getting into a LTR (and behaving well, for men). If you hired somebody and pay them for doing a …

I haven’t said incels are owed sex or marital rape should come back, I was just painting a picture of high level societal changes. About the last point, I would still disagree: men don’t usually “sit at home” but they’re still the breadwinner, on average. And if you think a man being the perfect houseman will raise her libido... sorry, I see no evidence of that being true. In fact I read over and over about “breadwinner women” who feel ZERO attraction (even repulsion) to their houseman hubby who…

There was a time where I was quite “active” game wise, when I was single, and not unsuccessful ... but I’m not really being the proactive guy / leader in the relationship (it doesn’t really seem to be my nature and being a bit passive is more comfy; but maybe that’s just excuses)

Good point about the kids, didn’t find too many studies on that though, and don’t have any myself... but I’m sure they make having a sexlife even harder ... The 90% number might indeed be too high, but if I look at all couples in my environment and analyze what they say & how they act, it doesn’t seem too unrealistic. Maybe I should have clarified that I believe that a significant part of men & women shouldn’t be in LTRs altogether ... (typically introverts, INTPs, INFJs, HSPs etc), since the be…

You’re totally right, that was more of a joke (somewhat applies to guys, though); as I mentioned elsewhere casual sex for women can sick because a) the guy might be an asshole or even dangerous and b) he will likely not be that attentive and take his time etc
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 05:33 PM
1

Alright, just tried to help ... all men aren’t mindless fuck zombies that want to fuck 24/7 either, and might want to get to know you too, that’s all I’m saying ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 04:14 PM
1

Interesting reply, thanks. But again, you’re quite definitely an outlier regarding your libido and it’s not possible to generalize based on your experience. Only 5% of young women masturbate more than 4x/week (article ) I’m afraid I haven’t seen my gf masturbate ever since weve been living together and she has no toys 😰
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 04:12 PM
1

Thanks, great answer. I don’t have that “fear of being single” part which maybe makes me an outlier as well. Maybe Esther Perel is right that we shouldn’t be so black and white about “cheating” which would solve many of the aforementioned problems... all the while committing to your partner & going through thick & thin
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 03:18 PM

I’m quite attentive to the consent aspect and “not coercing her to do xy in bed” and her feeling pressured to do it because she doesn’t want to lose me... but you’re probably right
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 02:02 PM
1

Hehe ... I agree mostly, and like your posts on other threads, even though one could label it a tad “bitter”... I don’t even think women are at fault or do this on purpose ... they are being told that LTRs are their thing and “only relationship sex is good sex” ... and after a few years they’re surprised how repulsed they are by their hubby Steve
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 01:41 PM
1

Yes I really like her (although she’s married... she is pretty red pulled I guess)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 01:36 PM
1

No she dislikes if I get “rough”, hates choking etc ... toys would maybe be possible but I should maybe try them on myself first 😅
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 01:36 PM
1

Yea I see that on Deadbedrooms ... not sure what the %s are though as women seem to be more open to post, there, and men are more expected to “suck it up” if they don’t get sex I think LTRs as they are lived today aren’t that good for women either.. many men aren’t cut for the relationship thing and retract to gaming and porn, and the women can’t leave
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 01:20 PM
1

Exactly, I think you’re close to the truth. Being enmeshed and “close” and splitting finances and sleeping in the same bed etc is basically the norm in a LTR... but all of that seems to be killing women’s libidos (I assume less than 1% of women know that or would admit it). It’s no coincidence every women’s romance novel (ie what they read most) is some mysterious dangerous masculine attractive guy who has an animalistic (almost rapey) desire for her, who they have to tame... but what happens af…

btw the "pencildick" thing is pretty damn funny.. you do seem to have some quite controversial views, you got that going for you...
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 09:47 AM

tbh I don't see much evidence that high quality men in marriages or LTR get great sex lives just for being "high value". I guess I'm a high quality man, financially well-off and objectively more attractive than my gf, but she isn't all over me
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 09:41 AM
7

I don't think that's true, tbh, and this is one of my key points: the initial "new relationship energy" sex life is not a valid predictor of long-term sex life. Most people in deadbedrooms report having had crazy daily sex for the first months of the relationship, then it died off at some point. "Sluts" usually have a reactive libido to exciting, attractive men. Your man isn't that exciting anymore after months and years of living together. I would say picking an intelligent, mature woman who re…

It got less around the 2 year mark, but I wouldn't say it died off... moving in together made it less for sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 09:05 AM
1

I don't really want to make this about me, but provided some context elsewhere in this thread. We have been in different countries for 4 months, she regularly talks about being scared of losing me ... which I don't force, I'm just naturally rather aloof and distant. That doesn't really translate into enthusiastic sex, though, but let's see how it goes when we reunite again...
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 08:28 AM
1

Yeah it seems you have in fact no filter which is quite unique for women. I'm sure there's men who would appreciate that as they're also looking for a friend with benefits type arrangement. Maybe playing the "normal/passive girl" role a bit could be beneficial, so the guy feels like he "won you over".. maybe r/redpillwomen or smthg can help you out with this..
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 08:17 AM
1

Haha it seems you have an interesting brain ... but yeah “spinning plates” also usually involves being somewhat diplomatic & attentive, else your plates will fall and break
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 07:41 AM
1

Spinning plates would mean having maybe 4 guys “available for sex” in parallel. Unless you meet them all at the same time that should be manageable;) Your low retention rate and “only getting 2-3 bangs out of dudes” seems unusual... but I won’t try to speculate why that could be ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 07:30 AM
1

That‘s a good observation and would very much confirm my hypothesis. Let‘s be honest how common is excitement and novelty in a long term marriage. Men will still want it because of their base libido, women will have a harder time. Hence, If they want good sex, Women should advocate for something other than marriage, too (I guess thats what feminists often do 🤔)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 07:20 AM
3

I’m not poly. But I see your point, and have also gone months without in my LTR, too. Kinda confirms my point though, as it dosn’t seem to be THAT important to you, but might be to others, who will suffer. I don’t know if polygamy is dying, it almost seems to be the new norm here for many young ppl. Monogamy in and of itself is actually a pretty new invention (it‘s compatible with our capitalistic world view of „owning things“ but not really with our nature)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 07:11 AM
1

Yeah I forgot to mention that book by Esther Perel, it’s a good one. I’m convinced you could easily have sex a out 100 times a year by “spinning plates” as well, but yeah women have higher standards with who they do it with I guess. We’re actually on the same page, I think, in that commitment initially leads to more sex, but there’s a break even point, maybe after 1 or 2 years, where a new partner would bring more pleasure and excitement. I know that sounds selfish to some ppl, but those are the…

You guys seem to have found a good way, and seem to be mature, well-adjusted adults, congrats!
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 06:59 AM
1

I don’t deny that... I guess we could conclude that low value men should expect shitty sex lives, be it as singles or in LTRs (if they can get one). Higher value men should avoid marriage altogether if sex quality and quantity matters to them, because it’s an anachronistic, naive idea like riding horse carriages, unless they do it for family & kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 06:55 AM
1

I would argue that they’re usually also attracted to their husband, at the beginning...the nature of the arrangement (and their own biology) just makes it that this desire dries up over the years, typically
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 06:49 AM
1

Still doesn’t mean they wanna have sex with hubby (according to deadbedrooms its often no sex for years after a pregnancy..)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 06:48 AM
1

It’s not, but maybe we should be honest and go back to telling people that marriage can be a useful “business arrangement” to share chores and save money, and sure you’re gonna get used to each other and all, but don’t expect good sex
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 06:46 AM
5

Lol 10x/week ... have you been in a longer relationship? Its for ppl like you that I made this article, your expectations are unrealistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/19 06:43 AM
2

The main point of the post was to debunk the “LTR = consistent good sex” myth, because it is a myth, aside from a few unicorns. I think its a narrative that was pushed to men to continue to marry (Just be the perfect husband and you’ll be set!), as they can’t “take sex” anymore - unfortunately it usually doesn’t work. Of course married people still have more sex on average than the bottom 30% of incels and uggos (which I don’t claim isn’t true), but numbers are decreasing, and I remain convinced…

I’ve been told I’m good at it 😢 You might be right to an extent, but women want variety, too. “New is always better” as Barney Stinson would say:P but yeah for women casual sex sucks more as I commented somewhere else in this thread. But relationship sex gets boring for you guys as well. So there’s really no way to win ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/19 11:22 PM
3

Yeah I’ve been doing that almost every day for the last ... 15 years or so. It seems you have a healthy relationship.. I’m not gonna say “it should be x times” if both of you are content. Maybe we just, as a culture, place too much emphasis on sex nowadays, and we end up being sad if these expectations aren’t met. It also sucks being a guy and quite horny every day, it’s annoying. And I do seem to have a high “novelty/pleasure seeking” drive for stuff like this
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/19 11:18 PM
3

YOU FOUND THE SOLUTION - go to r/deadbedrooms , their problems are no more ;) In all seriousness.. I mean, sure, that’s what most guys (and women too) end up doing. You could also have stayed single if that’s your sex life, though 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s not so easy though, sex also has a bonding function, brings you closer together, feels validating, you feel appreciated, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/19 11:06 PM

I don’t feel girls are lying about being in pain, if I understood your question right. There’s a nagging suspicion though that gf doesn’t get as wet as before (at the beginning she had less pain) which would confirm my aforementioned hypothesis, even though she logically wouldn’t admit to it;). It’s also hard to feel much for me with tons of lube 🤷🏻‍♂️ Actually we’ve been together for 5 years now, and yeah she’s working in another country for a while. Yea.. I didn’t say it isn’t annoying or time-consuming to hop around, as I’m not in the top 1%. Maybe top 10% though, on a global scale. I guess I don’t get much benefit from the relationship part so the opportunity cost isn’t that high, though
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/19 10:38 PM

It seems like in an LTR primal attraction isn’t an option, realistically. Which is kind of a dealbreaker to me. So maybe I’ll choose that over the other three 🤔

Wholesome answer, thanks. Maybe what contributes to me being on the edge about LTRs in general is that I don’t need them, I love being alone, and don’t miss my gf even if we’ve been separated for 4 months.... so if the sex isn’t great either, there’s not much left aside from societal pressure, it seems ... I mean we’ve dated for like half a year before moving in together. Initially she wanted it more often than me.. then after 3 years frequency declined to maybe 1-2x/ month, and I’m not really f…

Thanks for the reply. My estimation would be women prefer relationship sex as a) its safe (the guy likely wont murder you) and b) it’s harder as a woman to get satisfying sex as you’re typically more passive. However, as the linked article suggests, women appear to get bored sexually quicker in LTRs. Maybe theres a biological explanation (ie after 2 yrs the guy should have impregnated you ... so why not go to the next (best) one after that? Genetic variation is good) I personally can’t say that …

Thanks for writing this, thats the type of reply I was looking for. You seem to be a very well-adjusted and sensible guy with a realistic view on sexuality. Maybe its my expectations which are a bit unrealistic (e.g. I’d like it if my gf of 5 years started sucking my dick because she’s super horny and thinks I’m the man, but probably she won’t). Plus I am quite interested in trying stuff like anal, toys, dom-sub before I become too old, but somehow don’t want to do it with my gf cause shes quite…

As I said most couples are fine with having a boring sex life and will report being perfectly happy. “Duty sex” to me is if one party is not really aroused (not before and not during the act) and would prefer if its over quickly, but still goes along with it to satisfy the partner...which is nice and all, but its not satisfying to ppl like me who want smthg real... Maybe my problem is I tasted the fruit of someone really being into me, being adventurous together, pushing some boundaries (which w…

Maybe they’re not entirely wrong about their suspicion that many women would prefer to be #44 in some Chads harem rather than married to Steve (sexually speaking). Back in the day you couldn‘t really act on that desire, now you can.

yea I think it's multiple factors. I think "betabuxing" and going to prostitutes is different though ..the first is getting (close to) nothing in return, the second is getting exactly what you want in return. or was that not your point? Maybe what you're alluding to is that incels don't want to go to sexworkers as they want the validation. I think it's a valid objection, but in today's sexual marketplace the bottom 40% might have to pay for it, in some way or another, anyways, or they'll remain …

@Lordb0lton yeah that's an interesting point which I hinted at in the text: about 20 years ago, about 50% deemed it ok to cheat. Now, less than 10% deem it ok to cheat (on the other hand, you couldn't really divorce so you'd stay together even if your SO cheats; now, it's ok to divorce)

My claim is it's not working that well for both men and women, on average, sexually speaking, which seems to be in line with empirical evidence. If you're not getting "duty sex" and you've been together for a longer time, congrats to you! Maybe you're one of these 1% outlier couples, or maybe that number is indeed a bit higher than estimated.

yes you're right, serial monogamy seems to be the rational choice, unless you completely go for "spinning plates" and have enough SMV for it. Long-term, I'd say, means longer than 3 years, where the initial spark definitely wore off, you moved in together etc. People act like they "made it" when that happens, but I don't really see why, as well.

Now if you're able to secure consistent (like let's say twice a year is the break-even point?) access to sex without long term monogamy/marriage, then you're definitely leaving some sex on the table by marrying (assuming you honor the commitment and don't just discreetly cheat like couples have apparently done from time immemorial and continue to to this day in other countries) that's a valid point ... I'd say women who mant more sex can always find some outside of their LTR. The bottom 10-20% m…

Alright let me spill all my most intimate secrets that I haven’t told anyone to a complete internet stranger ;) But in all seriousness: she’s not really conservative but not really into kinky stuff (and dislikes anything dom/sub related). I would love to try rimmimg but too afraid to ask. And neither the act of penetration (that’s what I’m interested in experiencing) nor appearing gay (I’m 0% homophobic) bother me. What does bother me is that women in general despise vulnerable/“feminine” men - …

Prostitution would actually be legal in my country, but the idea of paying someone who doesn't enjoy it at all still seems very offputting to me (and basically all of my friends)

The former ... in contrast to some „sex positive“ ppl on Reddit who say you can and should tell your partner anything you want, she won’t look at me the same after and I might irreparably damage my LTR for 3 minutes of (maybe not even) fun. I‘m probably not bicurious physically (ie no attraction to males) but I am intellectually bicurious maybe.. maybe it would be an interesting experiment if I can “convince my dick to do gay stuff” 😅 but yeah probably won’t

Have not been penetrated. But would try, am open minded. But not with my gf. What you said initially is kind of misleading though. From what I learnt, There are more gay men preferring to be a bottom, tops are actually in high demand. Its true that it requires preparation though and you cant just ram it in obviously. In any case I don’t see how this lets you infer why women crave sex less .. if anything, gay culture shows that men and women are fundamentally sexually incompatible

Many (most?) male gay couples remain open from the get-go and it seems to work quite well

Even though your reasoning is a bit incoherent, I agree with the statement: Casual sex is better if you are sexually adventurous ...unless you happen to find an equally adventurous partner as well which is unlikely ...but even then one party will lose their desire for that kind of stuff quicker than the other. Assuming long term relationship = lifelong exciting sex and you can try everything with your long term partner (“just talk about your wife of 20 years that you want to have a threesome wit…

Sorry I didn’t want to be mean ... I dislike victim blaming, but for grown ups having fucked up relationships I have an issue with one of them stating “I NEVER saw the red flags ...” I like that you at least see that you’re not just the victim but probably played an active role in this. Women are the gatekeepers of sex, and if they collectively chose to disregard aggressive macho men, this type of man would die out quickly. BUT THEY DONT, on the contrary. as steroid gymbros, martial art fighters…

Well, as you can apparently predict the future perfectly, how’s the stock market in one year;) I mean who would’ve predicted 20 years ago that people would spend most of their days looking at (mostly portable) screens browsing through virtual data?

It would take too long to explain here, might make a separate post .. My prediction is 1st world men will largely get their sexual needs met by (objectively better) “Sextech” (VR, electronic fleshlights etc) in the near future. this is when women will lose their bargaining power. Some purists will still have real sex but mostly the “chads” in harem like arrangements. LTRs will be seen as unnecessary, or else might be mainly non-sexual & more often same-sex (sth like co-habitation & to save money…

It’s always hard to generalize. Extroverts might become depressed without someone around all the time. It seems like you’re more introverted, maybe INTP or INFJ. I happen to also think Hetero LTRs are anachronistic and will be laughed at in the near future. It’s a model that empirically and biologically doesn’t work well and is based on cognitive biases and our conditioning

Even if this opinion is unpopular I would agree. Just like in the animal kingdom (just compare male vs female ducks or lions or most bird types) I think men are prettier than women (and I say this as a hetero male). At least there seem to be much more very attractive men than women (more outliers on both sides of the spectrum, just as with with IQ). At least if an impartial alien race were to rate us by universal beauty standards such as symmetry and pretty face. But due to a disparity in libido…
