The reason all the big YouTubers make 10 minute long videos is to take maximum advantage of the YT algorithm for monetization. 3	Yup, More Shit Men Have To Pay For. There's 100% some degree of luck involved. Just look for the opportunities to apply these skills to go above and beyond. What my first real big break was when we had a guy at work torrenting movies (and got a legal notice from a major movie distributor). Networking department couldn't pinpoint the machine, so I applied what knowledge of SCCM I had to find the machines running torrent clients and then a scan of their files.
