Child (always male) soldiers really tug at my heartstrings. Boys taken, enslaved, psychologically damaged until they will murder on command. The ones that survive never recover.

Or life insurance.

I think the gender wage gap could be greatly reduced with one thing: "mandatory paid paternity leave." Not maternity, paternity. If businesses see that men also have "time off" liabilities with new children then they won't have any reason to favor them. But that would involve passing laws, which I'm against, and letting men near their children, which feminists are against.

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/04/28/what-do-humans-need-to-be-happy-75-year-harvard-study-reveals-surprising-answers-video/ It is dead, maybe a copyright issue. Here is a different link, that's probably not as good.

Part of me hopes they do it. That some small country gets so misandric that normal apathetic people notice.

I hate the "stranger dangers" culture. If that was a lost kid in the mall, s/he would be perfectly safe with me or the starbucks baristo, or the bored guy standing outside of Victoria's secret. Rather than teach them to ask for help, we teach them to stay alone. And we teach perfectly safe adults to stat away from children lest we be shunned as creeps, when the people that would hurt a kid couldn't care less about that therefore it only keeps safe people away.

I had a friend in college who was raped. He was handsome and on the soccer team and he attracted a stalker. Who he denied in no uncertain terms publicly and often. One night he was drinking at a party and he slipped in the bathroom, hit his head on the towel rack and became concussed. Now if you're drunk and concussed you need to go to the hospital and you need to be kept awake. It can be fatal. His fan girl/stalker, and several other people heard the thud and opened the door. The girl walked in…

There are equivalent rates of DV in lesbian relationships. DV has nothing to do with gender. Why would feminism have a better shot at stopping DV than Catholicism, or optimism?

Comedians are judged by if they are funny/can sell tickets. Tina Faye is very successful.

You've got the goal wrong. I don't have any plans to reform radfems, but to the center, the average Joe or Jill whether you present yourself as a decent person really does matter.

But... You're the head of the government. Im pretty sure you can just kill people if you want. If we are going to use the tumblr definition of sexism here, it's only sexist if an institution stronger than you is perpetrating it upon you, hence why nothing is sexist against men ever. What possible institution was holding you down because of your sex?

Slander is spoken; Libel is written. If you forget which one is which use defamation instead, it always works. But I'm with you, whoever uses Slavery or Nazism for hyperbole typically is a tool. I'm pretty casual to the movement myself. Maybe we can start are own movement. I think a workable premise could be: anyone can be an asshole regardless of race/gender(sex)/religion so justice should be blind. What would you say to that? Or what would you have as a starting point that includes what's in y…

Look at your standard 30 sec television ad buy, as well. If it's not an ad for beer, a car, or a power tool, it's an ad targeting women, because women are the ones spending the money. More to your point of "It's for her" look at engagement ring (and other jewelry) ads. Even though it's men doing the buying, they aren't at all marketed to men. They are marketed to women to create an expectation of these sorts of gifts. The look on the woman's face in these ads gets me every time. I can best descr…

I'm mostly sure this doesn't count money for toilet paper. It's not a spending study. This is a wealth, net worth, assets, stocks, bonds, real estate, bank deposits, that sort of thing, study.

My lesbian nude beach plans were ruined! Call the UN! My adult eyes were made uncomfortable! Also who brings their kid into a group shower?

It could be an artifact of the english language. I failed Spanish several times, but I do know that they had more gendered situations in language and we are either neutral or male when not talking about specific/known people.

You denied medical evidence for anything but two completely separate sexes. You are factually wrong. I never claimed a large population or a cause of not identifying with one of two sexes assigned at birth. You've done that, and you've been insufficient in your nuance. Its not a crime, but you're wrong.

There are as many people born xxy as their are citizens of Chile. Surely Chileans exist, have Chilean problems, and seek personal liberates and freedoms for Chileans.

So people born XXY or XYY are some kind of hoax? No one is ever in between? Not chromosomally or hormonally?

Some people are born heir to Rockefeller, they pity you. Everyone draws from the hat occasionally. Some are luckier than others. I'm not saying you should try to reconcile that, that's cosmic justice not social justice, as Thomas Sowell would say. But are you equals under god? Do you accept their rights to liberty, freedom of expression, and to develop their personality as they see fit? Could you include one amongst your peers, call them friend after mutual respect has been earned?

If your girlfriend has an honest to Jesus rape fantasy that doesn't make it ok for a stranger to jump out of the bushes and nab her. I had a high school Spanish teacher I fantasized about that doesn't mean the gym teacher or the bus driver can call "open season."

My favorite baseball player, and cy young winner, R A Dickey, was raped repeatedly by his babysitter. I read it in his autobiography. It can happen to anyone. I'm sorry it happened to you.

It's a matter of incentives. Right now my girlfriend and I make a combined 35k (I'm still in grad school) if she were to get pregnant, shed actually be much richer on government support than she would be with me. To tell the truth it scares me.

The first thing you have to realize is that you were in an abusive relationship. It isn't your fault, but it is your problem. She groomed you from underage to be what she wanted and she did a lot of harm to you if that crazy health care system lets you get a shrink get a shrink. Get a new one every month til you find one that gets you. Next, she is a crazy bitch, you cannot fix her, you cannot change her low-life dating ways. Limit contact with her as much as you can while maximizing contact wit…
