I am a noob and a recovering beta. I'm sure that some shit tests are going over my head, but when I do spot one, my replies are on the money. I also started lowering the pedestal inch by inch by making her "jump through hoops" before I give her high compliments. Not sure if this will help my marriage, but it does feel empowering!

This is exactly what I was thinking, and thank you for reinforcing. 10 weeks ago, I was in no physical shape to even entertain this idea. Now, 10 weeks later, I lost 40 LBS and added who knows how many LBS of muscle. I know that in another 10 weeks at this rate, I will be a force. Not waiting to start with regards to this advice, just flirting with other women will be a great first step.

I think both are in play. I caught her a couple of months ago having an online relationship with a boyfriend from college, decades ago. That is over, but I'm not going to fool myself, she is keping her options open.

Yeah I never knew I was being tested. Wife asked if she could by something frivolous and I said "no". After I said that, she agreed with me. A test. Then she starting taking about a "buff" young guy she worked with. I told my wife that he sounded cool, and she should invite him over for dinner. Thank goodness i found RP

Thanks. I can see that this applies to a LTR as well as just dating. I only wish I knew this before I starting having issues with the wife.

I am starting dread. Wife is not at all jealous, she actually likes that I'm starting to get attention from other women.

From reading plus instinctively I know that fixing my marriage is not my problem. Fixing myself is. Leaving of course is an option but putting my feelings aside, there are financial and logistic issues with children living at home. Kids are not young, one still in high school.

Thanks. I have been reading away for weeks. This info helps no doubt, and I have made some great moves like passing shit tests (yeah seems like they still happen after very LTR). Yesterday I made a very major mistake due to lack of RP experience. I texted taht I was considering divorce. At the time, I thought it was an Alpha move, and now I realize that it was my beta lashing out. Huge setback.

I'm dealing with issues in a 27 year marriage. Just cut your losses.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
