It’s all manipulation. My ex was the same. She had no problem dating and fucking whoever she wanted but she instantly broke down when I started dating someone seriously. Now she’s all alone and makes little remarks about the old days and sniffles when she sees me. I’ve moved on. She didn’t want me when I was trying to fix everything so she can kick rocks and figure her own shit out

My ex and I did it ourselves with the help from an attorney to review the paperwork before filing. Filed on April and finalized in June.

Took mine off when she said she didn’t want me anymore. It hurt but had to be done

There is light at the end of the tunnel. Just have to stay the course and don’t give up on yourself. There will be good days and then there’s days where you’ll reminisce. It comes and goes in waves. Best advice I can offer is to let yourself feel what you’re feeling. Don’t bury it and ignore cause it just comes back. Really process it all and learn to be good to yourself. It’s ok to be selfish too

I didn’t even think of that! It’s been a long journey

My version of putting in work? Working out plus dieting. Going to therapy and groups. Found new hobbies like hiking, kayaking and paddle boarding. I also got back into church How did I meet someone? I met them through work. My coworker knew my story and my journey and he asked if I was available, he gave me his sister’s number and we started chatting then dating. What god? God/Yahwey. Whatever you want to call him

Absolutely not. If she was really hurting and missing you then she shouldn’t have fucked 1 guy. I personally wouldn’t ever have that peace of mind ever again if I took her back. “She really fucked 4 guys in one month? Who is she?” . Every time she goes out “is she really going where she says she’s going or is she going to ride another dick” . Respect yourself my dude. You actually cared about the situation enough to where you couldn’t even understand the idea of seeing someone else while she was…

I understand the feeling about them feeling that they found a better match and maybe that’s true, my girlfriend is a better match for me than my ex ended up in the last 3-5 years of our marriage. We were what we needed for that time but now we’re different people. Best part about this for you is that you have a better template of what you do and don’t want in your next relationships and now you can set boundaries.

“I had trained myself for years to have faith in and trust her” “I tried to fight my own insecurities and intuitions. It began to tear me apart” God, I felt this one. I know this very well too OP. I’m glad that you stood up to not only her but your own habits of gaslighting yourself. My ex wasn’t an alcoholic but she is/was addicted to social media. We had a marriage of 3- me, her and her phone. Everything and everyone outside the house came first and I was just the guy who provided. She put in …

I felt peace when my ex wife said she wanted a divorce, I knew it was the right thing to do. Chaos came after but now it’s peaceful again at about 3 years later

My friend, she’s gone. She’s moved on to something else while keeping your marriage on life support. How do you trust her again? The question is do you really want to? There are social apps like meetup to find groups of people with similar interests. I’m pretty positive that match.com is a dating site and she also trickle truth to you about meeting a guy. Why did she lie about who she was seeing in the first place?I’ve been in your shoes, for your mental health, get your affairs in order. Do so …

My ex and I were attempting to have a friendship for our kids sake but that ended the day I started dating someone new. She became someone that I didn’t recognize after that

I think we’re living the same life, ex initiated divorce and I begged and pleaded and you know the rest cause you just laid it out. I think that crying you did was just really accepting the finality of your situation. Good luck out there

You have to remind yourself that her issues, problems and downfalls are not your responsibility or concern anymore. She chose to let you know that she doesn’t want you to help or to take care of her. I suggest you listen and apply what she’s asking for. Do you, worry about you and your world. Let her figure things out, you running to her rescue will not change anything and you would also be denying her a learning/growing experience. These are her lessons to learn on her own and you have yours. M…

I’m learning a lot of new things in my new relationship too. She’s done things for me that I can’t even remember anyone else doing them for me. I remember one morning after our first night together she made me pancakes and coffee and poured me orange juice. I had tears in my eyes because this was so unexpected. I was with someone for 13 years and I can’t remember her doing that just for me. The only other woman who had made me coffee in my life is my mom. I’m 35. We don’t really know better. We …

I’ve discovered that I am more of an outdoorsman than I ever thought I would be. I’ve discovered nature and the peace it brings when I’m out there miles away from civilization. Women find me a lot more attractive than I thought and I’m quite the charmer. My girlfriend calls me a catch! Apparently I do much better for myself than I ever gave myself credit for. Just takes a little effort

There will always be good memories. They’re the reason that we continue going on when all signs have told us to stop. I was completely devastated when my ex wife said that she wanted a divorce. She strung me along for a year and I followed her like a simp. Then one day I realized that I was being pathetic and started distancing like she told me to and I also saw how bad life was. We simply aren’t meant to be together, it was codependency on a two way streak. I’ve become better in the sense that …

I kept a physical relationship with my ex after we separated for a year before the divorce. It muddied the water and I wish that I hadn’t done it because it made her decision to move forward with the divorce that much harder. It was like starting again from square one. I do not recommend going back to that. It really does make things complicated. Sex 8/10, worth it? 0/10

Brother, I wish nothing but the best for you. Clear skies ahead. Live your life as you see fit and everything else will have to find their place. God speed and don’t look back, you have a life to live and it’s time to make some ground

2 reasons why I feel that I needed to tell her. I want my girlfriend to meet my son and I have an agreement with my ex that there is a waiting period before introducing him to anyone new. I needed to get that clock started. Second, my girlfriend and I live one town over and we go out to dinner and drinks a few times a week in the downtown area and that’s where my ex’s friends live, I figured it’d be better if she heard it from me than one of her loser friends to avoid exactly what happened. I le…

My God, I am sorry to hear about your daughter and that terrible experience. Hopefully the law punishes them to the fullest

I remember when I was still trying to fix things she told me very matter of fact. “What I do is not your business, respect my privacy”. Ok, I did. Now you want it all back? Make it make sense

The part that makes me upset is that my ex honestly believes that I’ll bring just anyone around my son…..or maybe she realizes what it means that I want her to meet my son

My son is 5. I’ve talked to family members about coming with me when I pick him up.

I for real thought it would’ve been okay. She always said during the separation that I would meet someone and be happy….then I did. I don’t know what to do besides not engaging anymore. She wanted out and now she can have it
