"The Good Wife's Guide" to "Get Your Daddy On (A Rule Book for Dads)": From the submissive wife to the submissive husbandThe problem here is the over saturation in (at least US) media where the husband is downright stupid, overweight, beta losers who can't hold a job, please his wife, has a small penis and wouldn't be fit for the outside world if it weren't for his wife. Who's always right, alphas who use sex as a weapon, and constantly groom their terrible husbands. Someone much wiser than myself once said that if you tell somebody what they are enough times it'll eventually be true. EDIT: world not weird. | /r/MensRights | 31/12/12 09:14 PM
"The Good Wife's Guide" to "Get Your Daddy On (A Rule Book for Dads)": From the submissive wife to the submissive husbandHe's saying that, besides the last half -"wife is always right"- rule 1 is solid advice for both sexes to heed. Meaning that it's a good idea not to immediately voice an emotionally charged opinion, but to listen to your partner and take a few minutes to cool your shit so that you can have a rational conversation as equals, regardless of which reproductive organ(s) you're packing. As opposed to my house hold dynamic growing up, where the first reaction to a statement that mom didn't agree to was… | /r/MensRights | 31/12/12 08:59 PM

Currently listening to my long distance boyfriend being threatened by an insane woman in his house. Police say he cannot do anything to remove her.Maybe I should have listened when Mom told me that I don't understand how sarcasm works.... I really, really botched that one... | /r/MensRights | 22/12/12 05:46 AM
Currently listening to my long distance boyfriend being threatened by an insane woman in his house. Police say he cannot do anything to remove her.As someone who has just signed a lease agreement at an apartment complex in The US, an adult is only legally recognized as a tenant if they are on the lease. All he would have to do is get a copy of the lease to prove that she has no legal to residency. Some apartment communities even have their own security forces to take care of trespassers and vandals and tenants who are breaking the rules. | /r/MensRights | 21/12/12 05:46 PM
Consent form for wife for Vasectomy? It doesn't matter if she supports the decision or not. The fact that he's been told that he can't make his own decision about his body is the problem. I don't think that this is the kind of thing that a man should just go out and do without discussing it with his wife, but he shouldn't have to get a permission slip signed. | /r/MensRights | 21/12/12 12:35 AM
Consent form for wife for Vasectomy?I'd bet that people thought "Damn, Rosa should really learn to pick her battles." I doubt that it was seen as anything big; Just one of the little things right? At least not until she got support. These things aren't just "BOOM" and people are boycotting the public transport system. There's a buildup. It sometimes has to start from a small, maybe even singular act of defiance or plea for change before it makes any difference at all. | /r/MensRights | 21/12/12 12:29 AM
Kids of single mothers cause problems? Punish estranged fathers!I think this was saying that 80% of child criminals are living with their single mothers. Not 80% of all children. | /r/MensRights | 19/12/12 10:15 PM
Wow, calm down!Technically, it could, but shouldn't be viewed as ironic. The reason I felt the need to state that it shouldn't be called irony, is because situational irony is a comedic literary tool. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/12 06:11 AM
Wow, calm down!Right! Ok, I initially thought you were calling me a white knight for being a grammar douche. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/12 06:02 AM
What about nonviolence issues?I'm not saying anything about what should or should not be posted here, I'm seeking more information. I can't understand why you're so callus. I see where I was wrong now. I welcome the talk about rape, about domestic violence, about falsely accusing men of violence, or rape, as all of these are real issues, and a few that I've been directly and indirectly affected by. After googling what a concern troll is, I can see how you would interpret my post as such. I assure you that my intent is not to… | /r/MensRights | 15/12/12 05:52 AM
"Men Can Stop Rape" is modern feminism's version of "All Men Are Rapists" and it's just as bigoted.Exactly, it happens unnecessarily. It may not be all that common, -or at least commonly reported- but there certainly are accounts of this. | /r/MensRights | 15/12/12 02:13 AM
What about nonviolence issues? No, it doesn't. I very explicitly stated it as my view -not fact- that it doesn't get talked about as often. I've read a few things about fathers rights laws and the feminist reactions, a little bit about the homeless and even less about prison. I've yet to see a single thing about suicide. Violence against men or false accusations of man on woman violence has far outweighed this in the 10 or so pages I read through, this day alone. That aside, why would you attack me for wanting to learn more a… | /r/MensRights | 15/12/12 01:32 AM
What about nonviolence issues? For clarity's sake, in the first half you're referring to shame as a whole on many levels other than the size of our penises right? For example, the demonization of male sexuality. | /r/MensRights | 14/12/12 11:00 PM

consent postersAs a call center employee employed by a major US corporation, I can confirm that it is only required to verbally announce the recording of a phone call in Florida, Massachusetts, and Oregon. In every other state there only needs to be an audible notation, and it doesn't need to be a clear indication of the fact that the conversation is being recorded. This could be a simple automatic beep tone, which is the case where I work. | /r/MensRights | 14/12/12 08:24 PM

consent postersIsn't it illegal to record a private conversation without the consent of all involved parties? I thought that this was part of what the watergate scandal had brought us. I may be wrong. Feel free to correct me! | /r/MensRights | 14/12/12 08:11 AM
Wow, calm down!Seems a little ironic hypocritical. FTFY :) | /r/MensRights | 14/12/12 07:42 AM
Testimony from a male middle school teacherMy American History teacher for my junior year of high school spent a good 3/4 of the semester on the feminist movements. I can't help to look back and think about how little attention she put on men and their struggles. I guess I can't say that she's guilty of any brainwashing, but as learn more about this stuff, I see more and more correlation in my past and current life. I'm legitimately concerned for my future. | /r/MensRights | 14/12/12 03:07 AM
Testimony from a male middle school teacherThe women's volleyball coach in the high school I attended was accused and found guilty of having a sexual relationship with one of the girls on her team. She was offered no assistance from the school, was immediately put on unpaid leave and eventually incarcerated. Edit: This may be an isolated singular case, but I felt it necessary to share. | /r/MensRights | 14/12/12 02:51 AM
Jezebel: Fuck You Men's Rights Activists.Breaking my lurker status for this. My best friend went through this when we were 16. The neighbor across the street decided that he raped her just because she seriously had nothing better to do. It was ultimately ruled in his favor, as he had a documented alibi for what she accused him of. However, that doesn't make it any less of a serious issue and it didn't make it any easier for him. No legal discourse was taken against her filing a false assault claim. I just started reading this stuff her… | /r/MensRights | 13/12/12 11:50 PM
