2	Why is evolutionary psychology so criticized? I agree with most of your statements, except the interpretation. What would the world look like if sexual behavior differences were purely cultural vs. if sexual behavior differences were evolved ? Would the world be identical in both cases? What evidence would imply that we live in one of those two worlds but not the other? Why isn't there any human culture where women are MORE promiscuous than the men ? 2	Why is evolutionary psychology so criticized? Big fan of evolutionary psychology here, based on Steven Pinker's How the Mind Works. Not trying to defend all the bad evo psych claims out there. But the Big Idea (as I understand it) is that differences in parental investment arising from differences in reproductive anatomy has predictable differences in sexual behavior between genders.
