Own Your Shit Weekly - October 18, 2022Yeah I've seen his site a couple of years back. Has some very cool videos. Best of luck with your training though mate with whichever route you decide to take. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 24/10/22 01:56 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - October 18, 2022You are 100% spot on. It's all fear based. I just read your post. It strikes a chord for sure. I've had that kind of confidence before and there's no reason why I can't start again right now. It's Friday morning here so that gives me 5 days of irrational confidence before the next OYS. Will report back. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 20/10/22 10:59 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - October 18, 2022That's a fair call. That's also the end goal. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 20/10/22 12:05 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - October 18, 2022That was a lot of words but you're right. It's not just new martial artists though. Take a gym bro with a bit of aggression and he will run through 99% of well trained martial artists. The reason is they don't actually test anything under pressure. This is a case of you don't know what you don't know (unconscious ignorance). The other part of "combat/self defence" training is actually all awareness and preparation and has nothing to do with fighting skills. Tony Blauer has some great info on thi… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 19/10/22 10:44 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - October 18, 2022That's pretty much the plan. Correct me if I'm going about this the wrong way but my aim with this is to accomplish three things: Innoculate myself against her rejections. Repeated exposure will do that. Get out of her frame when thinking about sex. I.e. is she in the mood tonight, etc. Have more sex. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 19/10/22 10:39 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - October 18, 2022I'll build some absolute basics in terms of striking and grappling. There's a gym in my neighborhood where I can roll jiujitsu without getting too injured. Not a lot of fired up maniacs rolling there. PTs at my gym are willing to hold pads, and I can get sessions for cheap. 5 min commute. I'm aware that this is not elite combat education, but zero training in martial arts is not a good place to be as a man. Getting some reps in throwing combinations, learning to apply/defend basic submissions pu… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 19/10/22 01:09 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - October 18, 2022OYS 6 Early 40s. Married. 2 kids. Stats- 6’4 @ 95.6kg (up 0.6kg) Deadlift- 100kg, Bench Press- 75kgx5, Front Squat- 60kg I used every excuse and rationalisation to not post this week. Telling myself I didn’t need to. That I could hold myself accountable. Telling myself that I could just do the work in silence for 6 months then post a nice big FR with my “success” (validation seeking behaviour). Woke up this morning and realised how dumb that is. It’s the exact opposite of what I set out to do wh… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 19/10/22 12:02 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - October 11, 2022OYS 5 Early 40s. Married. 2 kids. Stats- 6’4 @ 95kg (down 1.5kg) Reading- NMMNG. Rather than listen to this on repeat I have noted the aspects I need to work on and bring my awareness to them on a daily basis. This ties into a comment I saw from Rian a while back regarding the two main areas most guys fail at which were covert contracts and validation seeking behaviour. The other main one for me though is anything fear based. My decisions are controlled by fear-based behaviour. Not looking stupi… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 11/10/22 08:02 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - October 04, 2022Not sure if I need to give it time to let the ship turn, or if I waited too long and there's no reviving it the attraction Mate if it's taken 13 years to get here you can bet it's going to take a significant amount of time to turn it around. The rule is 1 month per year of marriage or something like that. Just strap in and prepare for the long haul. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 05/10/22 05:28 AM
Own Your Shit Weekly - October 04, 2022OYS 4 Early 40s. Married. 2 kids. Stats- 6’4 @ 96.5kg. Reading- NMMNG. This is the 3rd trip through this book but really the first time absorbing and implementing. This time it's the audiobook which definitely helps. Am picking up more and more this time. Will keep repeating this book and WISNIFG (audio as well) for however long it takes before moving on. Fitness- A few injuries have me rewriting my entire fitness protocol. First it was shoulder, then hip and now a foot stress reaction. Have mai… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 05/10/22 12:51 AM

Squat- 90kg, Incline Bench- 60kgx6, Deadlift 120kg Goal- Become a high value man Fitness- Diet- 4/7 Current bw- 98.5kg (down 1kg from last week) Goal = bw of 88kg at 1kg loss per week. Got sick Thursday of last week which pretty much took me out the entire weekend and into yesterday. Ate okay-ish on the three days I didn't stick to the plan but didn't get enough protein on those days and went over calories. As I wasn't training and moving as… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 27/07/22 01:44 AM |
Own Your Shit Weekly - July 19, 2022Let me enlighten you to some of the ways in which I suck, just to paint a picture of where I am starting from. Warning, it's pathetic. Mate I understand it's easy to get dramatic when writing an OYS but self talk is a huge part of making gains. Especially frame gains. If you believe you're a piece of shit you are going to remain a piece of shit. If you believe you're the prize you will behave like you're the prize. Just another version of fake it till you make it. For me the simple act of believ… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 22/07/22 12:05 AM

Own Your Shit Weekly - July 19, 2022So what have you done in 4 months since your last OYS post. 2 steps forward 2 steps back. Not entirely but that's how it feels. I have made good progress on the work front and I was probably being a little harsh in my OYS. I'm set for a very financially rewarding next 12 months. I've also made some great progress with my son in finding common interests and being able to spend more quality time together. I feel there's a lot of low hanging fruit for me and I'm disappointed I haven't taken advanta… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 20/07/22 03:00 AM

Coming back from another injury - squat- 90kg, Incline Bench- 60kgx6, Deadlift 120kg x 1 Back Story- Got fat, lazy, too many supplicating nice guy behaviours and sex life slowly descended into dead bedroom territory. More recently a death in the family and the death of a close client plus multiple sick relatives had gotten me out of sorts. | 2 | 60 DoD '22 - Eating for Health and FitnessLove this write up and will be referring back given how in depth it is. For me my diet is ok and I'm losing weight every day or so. The actions I need to take this week are twofold: Cardio- I was using BJJ as my sole form of cardio. Some classes are more intense than others so it's hard to predict. Will add in 3 cardio sessions on top of weights to drive further weight loss. Side benefit of better overall performance too. Tracking- Haven't had a scan in a couple of years now. Will make those cal… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 08/04/22 12:45 AM |
Own Your Shit Weekly - April 05, 2022I hear you mate. I used to think the same thing but it's actually pretty simple. 200g chicken breast is around 60g Protein. 200g lean ground beef is around 60g Protein. Add in 2 protein shakes at 25g P each and you're already looking at 170g. That's only 2 meals plus 2 shakes. If you're eating breakfast as well then 4 eggs is 25g Protein as well. Now we're at 195g Protein. You can definitely get the full 200g from food but shakes are your friend too. Just make sure your protein powder doesn't ha… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 07/04/22 11:27 PM
Own Your Shit Weekly - April 05, 2022I am having problems with protein intake. This week I was at 18%, I want to be at +20% minimum (100grams/day minimum). I see at my tables that foods with good relation protein\calories are : (relation 0 / 1) beef, chicken, tuna, cheese and eggs; and (relation 1 / 2) yogurt, lentils, beans and chickpeas. Most of my carbs are coming from rye bread; I may need to find a way to reduce this, as it is also high in carbs and fat, and replace for more of the above mentioned items. 100g of protein a day … | /r/MarriedRedPill | 06/04/22 06:12 AM

Restarting lifting - squat- 60kg, OHP- 40kg Back Story- Got fat, lazy, too many supplicating nice guy behaviours and sex life slowly descended into dead bedroom territory. Goal- Become a high value man (Trying to view all my behaviours and goals through this lens. WWHVMD) In on 60DOD. | 2 | 60 DoD '22: Declaration and liftingIn! What I want: To become a high value man. More specifically with what is achievable in the next 60 days- Physical- - Get less fat. Sitting at 100kgs at 6’4. 1kg per week is the goal which will equal roughly 8.5kgs. Work & Finances- - Give 100% of my focus to work whilst at work. I’m tired, lethargic and not focused. This means pushing projects out which, given I work in sales, is directly costing me money. It’s no coincidence that both points are directly related to discipline and consistency… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 01/04/22 11:30 PM |
holding frame in an all-female houseMate, two things: Fear does not equal respect. I don't want my kids to be afraid of me. Even when I raise my voice. I want them to respect me. Fear just drives them undergroud to do shit behind my back. They need boundaries. Kids are like raptors. They test the fences for weaknesses and your fence has 1000 holes in it right now. Set boundaries for your kids and stick to them (remove screen time or whatever works in your household). It will be painful at first but the results will be well worth i… | /r/askMRP | 01/03/22 12:17 AM
