She means: You are not a high enough value man who I want to submit to. I'm wary of your leadership and don't want or trust it. Now obviously it's just where you are now and you could work on improving that.

Why do you hate yourself? If you are a Christian then God loves you, his opinion matters most and here is what he thinks of you: Who I Am in Christ | Freedom in Christ Ministries. Have a read of it and think about it.

Grew up Catholic then became a Christian and am at a Presbyterian church which I like. I don't think I'd ever regularly attend an orthodox church as: There are things they believe and do that to me go against scripture: Calling people Father when Jesus says in Matthew 23:9 "And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven." I don't believe in transubstantiation. There are some traditions they have which I think create unnecessary gospel barriers for those lo…

This. Also after you have sex you'll likely be back where you started feeling worthless and adding to that the additional baggage of shame.

Personally I think people are more likely to listen to you and change their mind in real life rather than on the internet. I personally see that Christians have a duty to get connected to a good church (Hebrews 10:25), encourage others there (1 Thessalonians 5:11) and go and make disciples (Matthew 28). In my experience it tends to be more productive and fruitful in real life rather than online. How much do these verses explain online discussions: "A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, bu…

Under the old covenant, prophets who falsely prophesied were put to death (Deuteronomy 13). False prophets are still around (2 Peter 2:1, 1 John 4:1) and will be judged, just not so immediately. As 1 John 4:1 says we should test what prophets say against scripture. I've not seen a lot of this as I don't go to those sorts of churches. I'd try to help them by praying for them, showing them what the truth is in the Bible (like the passages above) and how loving God and others is more important than…

How do you think being "sexual all the time" and "flirty all the time" fit with passages like 1 Timothy 5:2 (Treat ..... older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.)? Do you think married Christian guys should be trying to be sexual and flirty with other women? Other guys wives? Is godliness or bedding women the goal?
/r/RPChristians27/01/24 09:54 AM

Yes, there's a masculinity crisis which is why men don't know how to be men both inside and outside of the church. I've been to men's conferences and fortunately they've all been pretty good.

Talk with God about it - "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) Stop obsessing over what you don't have to the point where you miss what you do have. Forgiveness in Christ, being saved from eternal damnation to instead be given life with him for eternity beats sexual release any day (there's a reason we worship God over sex). "But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpa…

I agree with you. It sounds like they have good intentions but it does sound a bit legalistic. The first bit is OK with me but the bit telling people specifically what to wear and how to wear it "No shorts.... etc..." sounds a bit legalistic to me.

I agree with your most of your thoughts. I don't have a problem with crying in public. Jesus wept publicly in John 11. However, Jesus didn't go to pieces over everything. I agree with you that it sounds like the chaplain probably needs to go get help before he tries to help others.
/r/RPChristians27/01/24 09:18 AM

Hard to fully assess the situation without being there but from what you've said it sounds like the chaplain was a bit pushy and the one needing the most help. Personally I'm not a fan of people pushing people too hard to open up. Relationships and trust takes time and I find most guys want to build that a bit before opening up. You can encourage it and challenge guys but forcing often makes them suspicious and lose trust. Out church's way of talking about men's issues or failures is in genera…

Quality post. Sounds like you’re going well. Sounds like your gf might have a distorted view of male headship and may have bought the worldly, selfish feminist lie that women can have a career, kids, do what they want and have a submissive husband who does what she wants. Might be worth asking your gf what she wants life to look like in 5 and 10 years time. Will she have kids? Who will be working to provide and support her and the kids? Would she move for you? Seems like her career is more impor…

I'm guessing it was an arranged marriage. Maybe if she grew up then it might be different. Sounds like she's not going to grow up though without some consequences and finding out the hard way. I think you should be more concerned about the impact on yourself and your kids then on the stuff or what other people think.

Sorry to hear that she's been like that. If it was me then I'd record some of her behavior towards you and the kids. It might come in handy if there's a custody battle. You want to ensure that your behavior is squeaky clean and you're a good parent. I'm sure you can make some new friends if you want to though it might be hard being in the season of life that you're in having to look after two kids. If she really is a narcissist then why do you want to be with her? You need to have clear expectations, boundaries and consequences for her when she oversteps your boundaries. You need respect to be captain of the ship and women don't respect a man they can walk all over. Around 12% is probably what you need in order to get her to notice a difference but if she's a narcissist then that mightn't be enough and you might not even want to be around her if that's the case.

Is it reasonable to help your wife when she's sick? Sure if she's being reasonable about it. If she's like this when she's not sick though (which it sounds like is the case) then it's likely just a manipulative ruse. The problem seems to be that you don't have clear boundaries or consequences for when she's walking all over you. She sounds like a child that throws a tantrum to get what she wants and you enable and encourage that behavior by giving her what she wants. A high value man wouldn't pu…

Your wife is treating you that way either because she views you as low value (and you need to work on that) or she has an overly inflated view of herself (which you need to challenge). What does she contribute to the family? Did she grow up as a spoilt rich kid and get married young and now expects you to be mommy and daddy for her because she knows no different? Why was she attracted to you in the first place? What changed? Suspect that her attraction was in part based on the time (and attention) you spent with her. Likely you hurt and cooled the relationship by prioritising your career over spending time with her. If you’re not already doing it, I’d suggest building your attraction by lifting weights at the gym at least 3 times a week and eating so you’ve got a healthy body weight. Technically you're right. However, as I said people have different definitions of it and draw the line in different places. Non-Christians are happy to have sex with plates. Tomassi himself says on page 44 of The Rational Male: "As I mentioned earlier, you don't have to be sexual with every one of the plates you're spinning..." but then goes on to say "If you are sexual with some of the plates you're spinning, so much the better....". Comments like this of his go against the teaching of the Bibl…

Probably worth defining plate spinning. Usually it’s defined as having multiple non-committed sexual relationships with girls (though others have other definitions). From a Christian point of view this would be a sin so I’m against it. It’s one thing to be the kind of guy that girls find attractive and another thing to go around flirting with them, leading them on, leading them into sin (also a sin) and sinning with them. The Bible says to treat women with purity: 1 Timothy 5:1-2 NIV - Treat you…

You’re young which I’m guessing means she’s young too. She’s probably just influenced by the prevalent feminist egalitarian views of western culture. She might also have experienced or observed poor male leadership (domineering, dumb or weak) and be wary of giving power to a man. I suspect her actions of wanting to set boundaries are either because she has lost trust in you given your different views or she’s emotionally taking a step back in the relationship because she’s not sure it’s going to…

Identify where your boundaries are being over stepped. Also consider if there’s a valid reason your wife is unhappy about it (e.g are you doing something dangerous in the way you are handling your kids?). Neurotic is defined as "behaving strangely or in an anxious (= worried and nervous) way, often because you have a mental illness". I don't know why you seem to think that is a good thing or want to make that your identity - it's a display of low value (even if you're confidently displaying it). Does she work a lot? Why does she have to work so much if you earn more? As captain of your household are you pushing her too hard with work? In my observations most women are told by feminists that they want careers so they go and get one but find it physically and mentally too exhausting (surprise) in reality they’d prefer to be at home which tends to work better for everyone.

Its harder to put on weight when you’re only eating meat, fruit, vegetables and rice as that’s all you have at home. My other tips are: 1. In your post you mention twice about how you feel when you don’t get sex after 7 days. You can’t seem to communicate clearly which is annoying to me and I’m not around you as much as your wife. Key point in your post is your wife saying that she wishes you could turn her on. My guess is while you’re doing well physically with your job and whatever there are negative things that you’re doing to self sabotage. Things that maybe aren’t in your post or aren’t clear.

Don’t complain as was said above (Phil 2:14). Yes, even if it’s complaining because you didn’t get sex - you can’t negotiate (or logic) desire (it just makes you seem unattractive and needy). Guys that don’t get sex and whine about it are very unattractive to women.

It sounds like you could have a covert contract of “if I don’t get sex, I’m going to crumble, be butthurt and be negative and negative towards your wife etc…”. This would make you seem like you have a weak frame and be unattractive to her as well. If this is the case you need to be more outcome independent, cast your cares and concerns on God (rather than your wife) and take it as an opportunity to grow. What were you like when your wife couldn’t keep her hands off you? Were you the fun, happy, …

Alpha F word, beta bucks. A red pill (not Christian red pill) way of saying women either want you because you’re an alpha they’re attracted to you or to use you financially as a provider.

You can know if you’re alpha by what you do, how you lead her and how she follows. Don’t be flaunting money as it’s not particularly Christian and attracts gold diggers. Not saying you should wear clothes with holes in them. Sex isn’t the only way to measure attraction. An enthusiastic hug, holding hands, genuine desire in wanting to do things for you, being prepared to follow you and all of this over a long enough period of time over a period of time to show its genuine. If she’s pushy about as…

Girls want to be gamed, flirted with and bedded by attractive guys. When unattractive guys do the exact same things then it’s “gross”, awkward and “ew” for them. Simps are guys who are unattractive betas who give far too much thinking that the more they give, the more they will get. Alphas are attractive, know about push-pull, are outcome independent and are prepared to walk away from an interaction without caving and acting butthurt. The solution is to stop being unattractive and start being at…

Because he’s giving her attention and feels. Men want sex, women want attention. While you’re spending time gathering evidence, he’s gaming your wife. Instead of leading her, you’re letting him lead her. You can’t negotiate desire. I’m not sure what you think you’re going to achieve by confronting her with the evidence aside from just making her emotional and associate those negative emotions with you which will probably push her closer to him. There’s a reason she’s looking elsewhere for attent…

She sounds more interested in her friends/social media than you. You don’t sound like you’re leading. You’re all in her frame. You’re also trying to use logic to change her behaviour and generate attraction rather than being an attractive leader who she’d want to follow. You sound very butthurt which would only make her associate negative feelings with you which makes her want to go away from you and party or get feels from her followers. Going no contact with your wife is a dumb idea, you’re le…

Sounds like you’re trying to write cheques that your SMV/dread level can’t cash. Your post lacks stats and you talk about purpose but not lifting. There’s a reason that lifting is in the sidebar. By your own admission you’re new. You sound like you’re making some good progress (no numbers on the lifts though so …?). However, things obviously didn’t go the way you wanted them to. Consider if you made the dinner and gift a covert contract for good sex. Was dinner and are things fun with her or are you both too busy and falling into boring routines? Sorry my last reply was made in a bit of a hurry. Hope it didn't come across as short and dismissive. I also thought I should reply and flesh out the last two points. The reason I made the point about your hookup girl not being a Christian or marriage material is because if she is a Christian and marriage material then the obvious thing to do would be to refrain from sinning sexually with her and consider working towards marriage (though you'd need to proceed with real caution there given that s…

Being marriable is about being attractive, not being unattractive and approaching the right girl. The RPC sidebar has plenty of info on that. Though it sounds like there will be some things you can’t do, do what you can. Don’t predisqualify yourself to girls by being negative on yourself or because you’re in a wheelchair. I’m assuming your hookup girl isn’t a Christian or marriage material. Make it your mission to do what you can and make the most of each day.

I agree it's a red flag. Guys that want to date but not marry usually don't have a plan (beta), don't have their act together (beta), don't know if they like the girl (possibly beta) or just want to selfishly indulge in sexual sin without being committed to a relationship or being a provider (red pill but sinful). In my experience it's usually the latter or a combination. I don't really go for the spiritually married thing, most people who say that are just too blue-pilled to commit and think th…

Briefly you need to repent of your sin, see that heaven with Jesus is better than the world, learn to resist temptation, become a more marriable Christian guy and find a godly woman to pursue. When tempted, we must all ask ourselves: Do you want pleasure on earth for a short time and eternity in hell or to take up our cross on earth (Luke 9:23) for a short time and enjoy eternity in heaven? Jesus gives a stark warning: Matthew 18:8-9 8 If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off …

I'm not meaning worshipping sex in an abstract way, more a category or collective of sexual sins. In the same way that lovers of money don't just love one coin or note but lots of different ones. The Bible refers to a love of money in this way (Ecclesiastes 5:10, Matthew 6:24, Luke 16:13-14, 1 Timothy 6:10, 2 Timothy 3:2, Hebrews 13:5). Like the alcoholic who doesn't just drink one beer. Briefly it’s along the lines of the Romans 1 passage above. When you worship you are giving worth (or value) to the object of your worship (it might be a person or a thing like money, food, sex, surfing whatever). You love the object of your worship. You think about the object of your worship, you probably love it, and give your time, money and effort to it. We are made to worship God (Isaiah 43:7, 43:21, Matthew 22:37–38, 1 Corinthians 10:31). There is a lie that only religious people worship. …

Agree with u/rocknrollchuck's excellent reply. As well as that I'd say: Realise that it's a waste of time, worshipping idols above God, fake, from the devil, designed to trap men, blue-pill, promises pleasure but only delivers disappointment and guilt, tempts towards affairs and not as satisfying as a good relationship and sex within marriage. Also perhaps what's scariest of all is that when you don't hate sin and like it then it's easy to love it, love it above God and then have it take you awa…

In its context it’s a warning and a call to perseverance as a Christian to Christians who were tempted to give up and give in. I’d say it a should lead us to repentance and not resisting but allowing the Holy Spirit to change us and sanctify us. Repentance is about saying you’re sorry to God for your sins but it’s also about changing your mind about sin (I.e I once thought that was good and now I think and know it’s bad). Jesus says to look for fruit. The challenge is often they will come to church, join a study and all of that because they like you. Wonderful to hear that you are thinking through things and interested in learning more! Briefly in response to your points: 1. Any differences as I understand them are as you pointed out minor. Yep. I was thinking after I posted it that it was a bit of a general verse and I should've clarified my thinking a bit more. When you commit fornication you're not only sinning against God (Exodus 20:14) but also sinning against your own body (1 Corinthians 6:18), leading the person you're doing it with into sin (Romans 14:13, 1 Corinthians 8:9-13) and probably sinning against your future spouse (Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18). Proverbs 10:4-5 A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame. Galatians 5 is talking about circumcision of men (not children). Galatians 6:15 is where you're thinking of where it says Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation. Context is also key. In the context of Galatians, Paul is writing to correct the false-teaching that Christians must be circumcised and keep the Old Testament law in order to be Christian. Chapters 2 and 6 are key to understanding chapter 5. For before certain men came from James, he used…

There are a number of different ways to respond (some even have names - Amused Mastery, Pressure Flip, Agree and Amplify etc...). Have a look at this post here. This book goes into more detail. How I respond depends on who the person is, why I think they're doing it and how I feel. Sometimes it can be fun, funny and playful, other times it can be annoying. If it's my wife and it's fun then it's worth putting in the effort, if it's a stranger who's annoying then I probably won't bother. It's good…

You're welcome! Glad you found it helpful. Really encouraged by your reply. One of the few good things about living in a pandemic is that many church services are being streamed online. Though it's not the same as meeting physically with Christians, you might find it useful to start checking some out online. Agree that we need to destroy idols. As John Calvin said, the human heart is a perpetual idol factory and Keller has a good article on some of modern idols here. You can pour the alcohol down the sink, you can ban yourself from the casino, you can through away pornography or delete it. However, sometimes it's not as easy or simple to completely destroy your idol. It's not exactly submitting to the government and authorities (1 Peter 2:13, Romans 13:1) and loving to my neighbours to destroy the l…

Glad it's helped. Though your english is fantastic, I thought you might find this Finnish website helpful: http://raamattuajassamme.fi/. A marriable Christian man is one that a Christian girl will desire who is attractive, confident, strong in his faith, able to lead, well groomed, mature, intelligent, knowledgeable, able to provide for himself and his family, has good social sk…

This probably seems a bit off-topic but hang in there, I believe it may relate and help. You know better than me but after doing some searches it would seem to me that a lot of the churches in Finland are pretty traditional (the clerical clothing being one sign). While some traditions are good (e.g. following the teaching of Jesus, meeting together as Christians, reading the Bible, Praying etc...), the downside is that some traditional churches are more about manmade traditions, almost a sense o…

The Red Pill community have found some truths and a useful way of describing them (ironically these truths have probably been staring men in the face for centuries and have been staring Christians in the face in the Bible too). Of course in with the truths there are some falsehoods (e.g. as others have mentioned spinning plates). I think RPC have taken what's true, redeemed other parts (e.g. Own Your Stuff) and rightly rejected falsehoods that are incompatible with the Bible (which unlike the Re…

Sorry to hear about how you're feeling bro. I've found that if I look to myself for worth (i.e. self-worth) and value, it's a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs based on the good and bad I've done (with it being easy to focus on the fails). Instead of doing this, I try to change my perspective by reading and thinking about the never-failing truths of God and who I am in Christ. I find that this becomes a well that I can draw from (or rather I suspect the Holy Spirit prompts me with) when I need…

Don’t know that there is an official RPC view on this. My thoughts are: We have fallen bodies and there is a place for medicine that is based on research We are in a fallen world and scientists, researchers and doctors can get things wrong (bad research, hidden side effects, overprescribing drugs etc...) Far too often people (including doctors) reach for drugs before trying to fix things with diet, sleep, exercise and a solid relationship with God. I personally wouldn’t take anything unless ther…

Thanks for sharing so honestly. It's so easy to do things in our own strength or be proud of our achievements (James 4) and forget that God is the one who has given us the mind, body, opportunities and all that we have (Psalm 139:13-14, Ephesians 2:10). Yet on the other hand he holds us accountable for our actions (James 1:13-15). The church is a very broad thing, I'll share my perspectives based on the church in the western civilisation. My current perspective on church is that just like the picture in Revelation there are (local) churches that are faithful and ones that aren't. Absolutely there are good churches. We are all bad (Mark 10:18, Luke 18:19) but it is Christ who sanctifies us and makes us and his churches Holy (Hebrews 10:10) and his word that contains his views that is the truth that should inform and be the…

I think it makes sense theologically when you consider that God wants us to love him and others. Here are my thoughts: Don't be a jerk. Nice post! I think it's also helped me to remember that it's God's view or ourselves that matters more than our own. If he declares us as forgiven and Jesus died to make it so, who are we to not forgive ourselves? It's his opinion of everything that matters most. Read the Bible for yourself daily so you can test what is being taught against it. If looking for a new church then check out their online presence first (website, facebook, youtube, sermons etc...) While it can be good for female pastors to minister to females (as per Titus 2:3-5), female pastors ministering to men is a red flag as it goes against the Bible as you have mentioned so I'd avoid these. The idea of not being alone with a girl is a good one. I see it as more about being above reproach (Titus 1:6-7, 1 Tim 3) and avoiding temptation. However, avoiding talking to women at church where there are others present seems a legalistic and elitist to me and flies in the face of Galatians 3:28. After all they're his sisters in Christ. Why waste your time dating non-Christian girls that you aren't going to marry? I found a good Christian wife when I was older than you. They're out there and worth the effort (Proverbs 18:22). Why not use the principal Abraham used in Genesis 24 (an interesting read in itself that relates to this topic) and find a wife outside of your town? The internet makes it a bit easier these days. My experience is that red pill men don't have wives that belittle them constantly.

Keeping a strong frame is no guarantee that a girl will convert. There were towns where even seeing Jesus do miracles didn't make them repent (Matthew 11:20-24). Christians date non-Christians usually because of they are worshipping their looks above God. The usual outcome is as the Bible teaches, men worship false gods (although in our culture usually more sex, money, comfort, power and fame rather than statues and the like). Take responsibility for it all. It's not your wife's fault it's yours. The reason for the gaslighting, manipulation and any negative behaviour is because you haven't been doing your job right as a husband and leader and out of frustration and being annoyed at you your wife is trying to either push you to wake you up or lead herself and you because you're not doing it right. Negotiation and logic don't cause sexual desire in a women. Attractiveness does. If you'd read the sidebar you'd know that. My guess is: 1. she either feels it's unfair (e.g. because she never gets to go out) 2. that you're cheating on her 3. she could just be very controlling and manipulative 4. she's rebelling against your leadership because she doesn't see …

It's great to hear that the Catholic church brought you to Christ and yes, the Catholic Church has many faithful saints in it. Keep in mind though that Jesus challenges us though that it's not the outside that sets us apart though, it's the inside: Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. James 2 also picks…

Yes, I feel the distinct call to minister to help men. We should all feel it as it is what God has planned for us from the beginning. The good news is that you don't have to become a celibate Catholic priest to be a priest. God's plan for his people has always been for us to be a kingdom of priests. We see this foreshadowed in the Old Testament: Exodus 19:6 "and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.” Isaiah 61:…

Nice work on those stats! Sounds like you're a bit of a power couple (Medicine and Law). Where does your relationship fit in with your studies in terms of priorities? Have you guys thought about your couple goals? What's stopping her looking after her body well (e.g. not enough time, not enough money, laziness)? If it's make or break time then rather than have a covert contract (i.e. you must look good for me to propose), why not have an honest conversation where you tell her all the things you …

From our own evil desires (we can't say "devil made me do it"). James 1:13-15 says:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. We're lazy and look for shortcuts. Porn is tempting because it promises easy and quick se…

The Bible says it's better to marry than burn with lust (1 Corinthians 7:9). If you lead well and put in the effort then my observation is that most marriages can be ones with love in them. If you're a single guy struggling with lust then there are things you can do to reduce the temptation. If you're married then there are things you can do to bring love into a loveless marriage. Lust is a worship problem though it's worshipping girls more than God.

No worries. Could also be that she wants to be included in your life more. Maybe she wants to come along and watch you train or compete? Or maybe she feels like you're kicking goals in your life and she isn't (might be worth asking what her life goals are). You get family time but what about time with her? If you're happy with how she's treating you and things are going then would you enjoy taking her out somewhere just the two of you?

You seem a bit all over the place. Sleeping, eating and lifting all work together and if you get this right it'll be a big help. If you get enough sleep (8-9 hours) and eat properly (meat, vegetables, avoid takeaway, just drinking water etc...) then you'll find you can lift better. If you're lifting then you'll find you sleep better. "Practical Programming for Strength Training" by Mark Rippetoe goes into this more if you don't believe me or want more information. Above comment is spot on. I'd just add that you need to remind yourself that the real thing to fear is being led down that temptation path to where it ends. It promises pleasure but delivers despair, regret and even causes some to walk away from Jesus because they start to love the sin more than their saviour. I've heard of missionaries who gave up on Jesus because they loved porn more. A healthy love for Jesus and our wives and Fear Of Missing Out on heaven should help men to be faithful.

Probably depends how she says it (happy like she's proud to be an accessory to your life or sad like she's ONLY an accessory to your life). If it's the latter then could also be a comfort test (e.g. she wants you to tell her or show her you like her and value her and that she's an important part of the team). Don't forget it's her behaviour that says how she feels towards you.

You seem to be doing well in a lot of areas of your life. From what you've said I'd suggest thinking about starting your day with reading the Bible and prayer rather than tagging it on the end. If it's the most important thing in your life then it should take priority. Also reading and praying at the start of the day will help you focus on what matters throughout the day and lead in a way that is godly, not just what you want. "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave …

The Red Pill (RP) is not Christian it originates from non-Christian pick-up artists whose values and goals (mostly just to fornicate) are in conflict with Christianity. However, RP Christians takes the ideas of the Red Pill and redeems them through the lens of Christ and Biblical wisdom, seating Christ and his ideals in first place on the throne where they belong and evaluating, discarding and redeeming RP ideas in light of that. Putting anything else in first place wouldn't be Christian (Matthe…

I wasn't talking about Women with high n counts (who if they accrued those while Christian then I'd have to question if they actually were Christian). I was just talking about regular Christian men and women.I've personally counsel multiple people who had sex before marriage and felt guilty being intimate after they got married because they associated those feelings of rightful guilt when being intimate before marriage with being intimate when married (wrongful guilt). I'm not saying that all co…

The lie the devil wants to tell you is that there's nothing bad about sex before marriage. After all you're going to marry them right? Wrong. It's sin, it can lead to an unwanted pregnancy, it's sinning against your body and the other person's, it makes you feel guilty and unclean, it can cause problems that continue even when a couple gets married, you might split up and not get married and probably other problems too. I know a few Christians who have had sex before marriage and all of them reg…

I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. - Psalm 40 Sometimes it's only when we've reached the bottom like the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) do we realise that the things we thought would make us happy don't deliver true satisfaction and that in our own strength we are pathetic. Put all your energy into getting another job rather than worrying about losing the one you had and explaining it to your LTR. Sounds like you're scared of telling her. Remember Outcome Independence. You lost your job, got a 2 month pay out but you've got a plan to get another one and are going to get one ASAP so you'll probably end up with some extra money. That's how you should frame it.

Before you pursue either of these options, how is your lifting going? What are your stats? How are you going at being attractive? Why would it be more attractive and fun for her to go to be with her mom than be with you? Why are you arguing instead of shutting up, staying in your own frame and leading? If you are leading, attractive and on-point then I think you'll find different behaviour. Sounds like you want to nuke it without trying.

If you've confessed it and you don't think it's going to be a temptation then I wouldn't bring it up unless she asks. You could bring it up when engaged but honestly, if it's in the past and it's not going to be an issue then I'd just leave it. Focus on being the man of God you need to be. If you do think it's going to be a temptation either with her or others then bring it up when you've been dating awhile. In my experience though you're better off being accountable to other men. I think it depends on how you're asking them out and how long between the different girls. People make too much of a big deal about asking girls out. If you're doing the things on the sidebar you'll be attractive and you can just invite a girl to join you doing something you already are planning on doing. If she is interested she'll come along, if not then it's permission to ask someone along isn't it? If you're attractive then the first girl isn't likely to say no and let a second girl have a c…

Girls like this do exist and it's a wonderful thing. Honestly, she's taking the Bible's teaching on pre-marital sex, submission, biblical leadership. The big families thing isn't a Biblical necessity but if you like that and like her then go for it! Obviously you need to be capable of leading and providing well. If you want a big family then you're going to need to earn enough to feed them!

Definitely a step in the right direction bro! Reminds me of 2 Timothy 4:3-4: For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

So physica Glad to hear that's not all you're looking for! I married a girl later in life that I find physically attractive who was a virgin when we married. In hindsight though I placed too much emphasis on looks and passed over some godly women who probably would've made for an easier marriage. No matter how much you workout, as you age you won't be as attractive but the core of a person and depth of the relationship can keep them attractive and sexy even as you both age. I think your gut (or perhaps the Holy Spirit within you) is right. Cold approaching 100 girls and getting into online dating doesn't seem like a good and discerning response. Approaching 100 non-Christians is unadvisable as you don't want to marry a non-Christian (1 Corinthians 7:39, 2 Corinthians 6:14). Approaching 100 Christian girls with the sole intent on getting their phone number or a date is likely to ruin your reputation with all of them (you just look like a desperate pervert who's in a…

Jesus teaches that looking at someone with lust is the same as adultery (Matthew 5:28). Of course it's not just men that lust after women, women lust after men too (they just don't want to talk about it - who does?). The stuff you talk about is called having an emotional affair. Here's the thing though. If you're an attractive husband and have a good relationship, she'd rather get your attention and be around you. Forbidding a wife to not have friendships with men is seen as draconian, unattract…

So physical attraction and being a virgin is the only thing you're looking for in marriage? Do you think that'll still be important to you when you're both 50? Where does the seriousness of the persons faith sit in importance to you? What about you? I'm assuming that since having a an attractive virgin is so important to you that you are one too? Sure it's possible, but I think there are other qualities that are important (and probably more important) too.

I guess you're options are, step down from leadership and attend and be an influencer or find a Christian girl elsewhere (e.g. another student group, church, Christian events etc...). If you don't think the later is an option then I'd consider the former. I get where they're coming from but I think there are other ways to get around this problem (e.g. ensure that you're not the leader of someone you're dating).

It's good and a healthy and natural desire to want to be with other Christians. Hebrews 10:24-25 reflect this desire and are worth keeping in mind: "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Look at what girls do not what they say. If you became attractive she'd go back to how it was on honeymoon. Honeymoon is proof that it can be like that. However, you've got to get your act together and be the man you were then (or she thought you were then), to get the girl you had then back. I think it's more she's not going back to the you that you are now.
