| 1 | "Be yourself" is not bad advice. If "be yourself" is interpreted by someone as "stay the way you are" by someone, and they remain insecure, with low self esteem, and a fear to approach and interact with women, then yes... you will likely be alone. But this idea that you have to act like someone, without truly understanding and embodying their sense of strength and self worth, is also a total fail. It's like the PUA artist tips, which in my own experience got me up in my head trying to calculate the proper action in any situatio… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 06/04/15 04:22 PM |

| 7 | CMV: It's all about choice.I've been mostly opposed to feminism because it threatens the truths of the male perspective, such as an implied denial of natural differences between the sexes, patterns observed in the collective... Which allows them to posit that the cause of certain issues is cultural and can be changed. I think collective patterns can be acknowledged, while policies of action in society should be clearly based on merit. Only then can we move forward because you can't repress nature by imagining social chang… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/04/15 08:18 PM |
| 1 | How do BP and TRP explain the (drastic) decrease of sex frequency in marriage? What would both sides do to fix it?The nice guy syndrome is where guys think that doing nice helpful supportive things for women gets their needs met. Women don't like this because it's not a personal servant that they want, they want a man they can respect, who has respect for himself and asserts his own will (reasonably). I think a man can do things that are nice, but they can't be done from a place of neediness. It has to be from an authentic choice. So you don't necessarily have to refuse to wash the dishes, but you do have t… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/04/15 03:45 PM |
| 4 | How do BP and TRP explain the (drastic) decrease of sex frequency in marriage? What would both sides do to fix it?You're right that the companionship should be there. If a man marries a woman and there isn't true companionship there, then why did you get married? But it seems that from men's perspective the sex is not just a perk, it's necessary for the relationship to be more than just friends. To us it's an undeniable action that confirms that our SO loves us. The way to a man's heart is through sex, while the way to a woman's sex is through her heart, it seems. I know that we have to invest our share of … | /r/PurplePillDebate | 01/04/15 03:32 PM |
| 5 | Did this guy swallow TRP without knowing it or is he another Elliot Rodger nut-job?He might be encouraged to take their stance of independence, and stop giving sex so much importance in his life. He's "putting pussy on a pedestal". Right now he feels comfortable blaming women for his troubles rather than himself. That's a pretty strong sense of delusion for the sake of defending his own self esteem. His talk implies that women consciously do this somehow, which as much a distortion as the implication feminists make that men consciously conspire to hurt women, operating by an u… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/03/15 04:03 PM |
| 2 | Imagine you are the Jehovah's Witness of your philosophy, how do you keep me from closing the door?I suspect there is some truth to the things they talk about. Do women sometimes test men to see if they're not overtly invested in the relationship? It would make sense to me that the only way to see if someone is really as strong willed and equally invested is to test them... So that you really know. Maybe this is not a widespread pattern amongst women like they seem to make it or to be, but it's actually common amongst younger immature women that don't know how to communicate directly. | 6 | Why Do All Guys Think They're The 'Nice Guys'?I think that everyone's ego is tasked with defending us from believing that we're not nice. Also, many guys do everything to get their needs met in relationships that they picked up from movies and TV. We see guys doing nice things for women all the time, and think this is what is required for women to fall in love with us. We don't understand that there are many other factors in attraction than just being nice. "Nice guys" also have learned that you can't be straight up in communicating your ne… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/03/15 12:35 AM |
| 1 | Imagine you are the Jehovah's Witness of your philosophy, how do you keep me from closing the door?I don't think TRP is interested in women adopting their thinking, given that it's a forum meant to benefit men. I myself think they take it too far in there. They would possibly call me a beta. If I was trying to spin it, I'd likely represent it as a place where men try to make sense of the illogical behavior they encounter with women, and get in touch with their inner sense of confidence and strength so that they can truly gain respect from their peers and receive the love of the women their at… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 30/03/15 12:23 AM |

And discussion concerning the psychological tricks that some women play to test men's consistency and authenticity in these traits seem useful. | 3 | Female RPers and Male BPers the side you disagree with seems to be more in your favour so why do you think it's bullshit? There's a difference between false strength (macho posturing) and actual masculinity. I don't get the impression that the red pill crowd gets that. PUA tactics have always seemed fake and contrived, and conflicted with my authenticity. I'm sure the context of the tactics are lost in interpretation by people also. Has anyone here read Models by Mark Manson? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/03/15 08:24 AM |
| 1 | What do you think of "Creep" Shaming?I agree with what people are saying here about men that women find attractive don't receive this label. If you think about it, have you ever heard a man refer to a woman as creepy? I think only in rare circumstances where a persons actions don't make sense to you, such as odd behaviors, can it come off as creepy without being an attraction bias. | 1 | Why don't sluts achieve the same social standing as studs? What I was expressing is that just because we discuss one aspect of behavior concerning women doesn't mean that we necessarily reduce women only to that. No one is only a sexual being. I find this all fascinating, but I would never reduce an individual to only that. If some do, that's fucked up. | 1 | Why don't sluts achieve the same social standing as studs? No. It may sound like people are speaking about women that way, reducing them to a function of their bodies, but that's an accusation. This is a layer of nature being discussed. It does integrate with psychology, stemming from instinct. Just the same men are not here only to be alpha studs. | 1 | Why do feminists hate men?Well I get the impression that the academic material is biased in a similar manner, but I very much could be wrong given that I've never read one book about women's studies. | 2 | Why do feminists hate men?Yeah that's true. I wish it was possible to be clear about how rational the group you're dealing with actually is. It might be true that most feminists are rational, and that the ones acting as mods of /r/feminism, or my former friends, are just a fringe group. I haven't found this yet though. Feminists could continue fighting against slut shaming by countering the sex negativity, which could help some women fell less trapped in owning up to their sexual activities instead of crying rape to save face. It sounds like the system is setup to favor being sensitive to women, regardless of how grey the accusation of rape may seem when reported.
