Problem is, if the Letter Writer kicks his wife to the curb for refusing to contribute to the family financially he gets stuck supporting her for the rest of her life. She ends up with the family home, half his retirement fund, spousal support, etc because she gave up her career and career advancement to stay home and raise the kids! The only way this could be worse is if she shopped her way into a lifestyle beyond his means and required the kids attend $20,000 a year private school. She never w…

I have never been asked this and my injuries always were due to an abusive spouse. In retrospect I am a bit surprised I was never asked, often times to me the cause of injury was obvious. However, I liked would have panicked if someone ever suspected and bolted without treatment.

Proponents say that getting a teen to wash his penis is a big deal Omg. This bit especially is hysterical to me. I have 4 intact sons 9-17. The 3 older ones shower/bathe twice a day at least, the youngest always bathes once a day. There's a constant negotiation for who's turn it is and who's in the shower next...whenever I call everyone together we must wait for the guy that's in the shower. When my hot water heater needed to be replaced I ungraded to a 75 gallon tank. With the household rule of…

That one brief article was just full of contradictions. Doctor want a larger reimbursement from the Australian medicare system to pay him more for circumcising infant boys. Because we certainly don't want the increased number of HIV as they have in the US. Where medicare doesn't reimburse whatsoever for infant circumcision. And where every medical board has stated that infant circumcision has no medical purpose. And where hospitals are trendy away from even permitting the procedure on their prem…

I have had several relationships since my divorce from their father. I am not marriage minded and it's very hard for me to say if I would ever desire to take a relationship to that level. With this particular man or any other. This man does have children that he has better than 50% custody of. I am a very sexual person and I would not necessarily restrain myself, especially in a living together 100% of the time situation. I am also very independent and have grown used to sleeping alone and havin…

My kids aren't kept from any information. They pretty much no everything about whomever I am seeing. They know when I'm going out...the older ones are often still awake when I return and ask if I had a nice time. Sometimes they joke with me, tease me about having 4 boyfriends or remind me to take condoms when I'm on my way out. They are between 9-17. Keeping their father in the picture isn't really up to me, now is it? He's their dad. Of course they see him and he and I are on incredibly friendl…

They know who I am seeing just as he knows about my kids but why would I ever bring them along with me while going out to dinner and to a play? I have a pretty good judge of character and if I am going to choose to dedicate my time to a man, especially over a long period of time, I get to know whether he's decent or not. I'm of an age …

So I've been told. But seriously. I don't understand it. He's not the first guy that I've got out with for an extended period of time that I haven't introduced my kids to. I don't quite grasp why I would want to involve my kids in my dating life. I'm with my kids all the time, we do family stuff, homework, yardwork, etc. When I go out with a man I do adult activities. It's a date. Not child appropriate, a break from my kids and everything else. Oh. And we fuck. Can't do that with kids around. So…

I can't answer to that because I cannot even comprehend that kind of mentality. I can't fathom the concept of people committing to an abortion in advance of pregnancy. If you know you 100% do not want to be a parent at that time in your life, there are ways to insure that you 100% do not make a baby. Use 2 forms of birth control. Use 3. But to state that you would terminate a hypothetical pregnancy? I don't think anyone can honestly commit to this and if anyone tries to you should realize that s…

What if after you find out you are pregnant you decide to change your mind and terminate the pregnancy? I never would. Perhaps you missed the part where I said I was prolife? In my state the father doesn't sign the birth certificate, only the mother does. She states who the father is and signs it. But I agree whole heartedly. A friend of mine recently insisted that her husband take a paternity test about a month after the baby was born. She wanted it completely clear in his mind. I don't see why any woman would mind unless she is uncertain herself.

Which is where we differ. I do liken newborn male circumcision to newborn female circumcision. And equate the male circumcision as it is performed on youths in some Muslim & African countries as the same as those performed on girls of similar age, often times in the same countries. I do have personal experience with this however I won't write about it here. If you have sincere curiosity you may pm me.

When discussing circumcision you should realize that most people are not discussing your circumcision nor any other circumcision that has already been performed. Whether you are happy with yours or whether you have been damaged by yours is absolutely pointless. Because it's too late to do anything about it. We are discussing the potential circumcision of newborn infants that have not yet been born. We are discussing the bodily integrity of individual boys and their rights that are being violated…

I have met many men who aren't circumcised but wish they were Well then, the solution is as simple as a phone call. many women who are grossed out by or dislike the way uncircumcised looks. This contradicts the point of humanity: procreation. To ensure that one's genetic material is left behind after one passes. It is anecdotal and I must admit that I don't believe it. I know too many women that actually have had no idea what an intact man looked like and it turned out they were married to one. …

Also, you're taking off more flesh when you cut and tie the umbilical chord than when you take the foreskin. So is the fact that 99% of humans are artificially inny belly-buttoned a mutilation? Citation please. Umbilical cords are not tied. No skin or flesh is removed to form a belly button. At all. The cause of an 'outie' as opposed to an 'innie' is an umbilical hernia. The muscle beneath the belly button has been torn or splits, causing a protusion beneath the skin which pushes the belly butto…

I do not own my children. I take my role as a parent with extreme seriousness. It is my job to protect them and their bodily integrity so that upon maturity they are presented with as intact a body as they were born with. Are you aware of any evidence that adult men that have been circumcised later in life assert that their sexual experience has since improved? That after the procedure they experience greater sexual sensitivity? Because I am only aware of studies that have illustrated the opposite. Included the citation from the rabbi's that stated decreased sexual sensitivity was one of the desired intentions of circumcision and should be viewed as advantageous.

What really surprised me (and I will go back to the article for citations if you request) were the studies that showed there were no issues in other countries (that don't routinely circumcise) of ED, men's sexual dysfunction, impotence, etc. so prevalent in our society as well as the complete lack of the size obsession men in countries where circumcision is prevalent seem so concerned with. Not on a baby or young child! Read the article. The point is that it is dangerous to pull back the foreskin until it retracts on it's own. By the time smegma is forming the foreskin has already retracted. A baby can't get shit under his foreskin when the foreskin is sealed to the penis. The only time it would retract and break it's seal is if some adult pulls it back prematurely, which is what she warns against in the article. If you have a cheese looking shit building up around your penis you m…

But of the 4 there would be no way anything could get into their foreskin. It was sealed to the glans until they themselves began to pull it back. The very last picture down. That was my first husband. He was continually going to different urologists in different countries. Sometimes everything went fine and he didn't suffer at all. Other times the skin on his penis would crack and peel. Or bleed. Develop large cracks and fissures. There were times it would swell and then the skin would peel after the swelling went down. All as a reaction to friction from sex or masturbation.

Perhaps the women contact the men they consider unattractive because they themselves have low self esteem and believe that is the man most likely to respond to them. Nah. I really couldn't care less if he were gettin some or not. I definitely give him plenty of opportunity. I've shown him where I keep the condoms, talk openly with him about everything...have told him it's not possible to make throat babies...basically don't give him a curfew. He knows girls totally think he's hot but he says looking way older than he is has placed him in a weird place. He says putting his arm around a girl his own age makes him feel like a pedophile because he not only looks…

While I can appreciate your sarcasm...sigh, I must interject. I am the mother of 4 boys. Two of which are very attractive teenagers that get a lot of female attention. The older of the 2 looks very old for his age. He is 15 but can be mistaken for 25, maybe even 27. But he is not. He is 15. Both my 13 and 15 year old know all about sex and love to joke about it all the time but would be the first to tell you that they are in no way ready to go the distance. The 15 year-old has plenty of opportun…

I'm old fashioned too. And I believe no one person should harm another. Not a man, not a woman. And each individual owns their own actions and bears complete and total responsibility for those they harm. Cause like I said. Just old fashioned like that.

People want girls because we are a consumerist society and everyone wants to by cute adorable dresses for a little girl. They want girls because they want to go shopping. People want girls because they sit around trying to visualize what their lives with a child will be like, they dream of some future with frilly pink, baking cookies, painting nails. Having a best friend forever and ever that will never leave and will always want to come home for dinner, take care of her dear ole folks. People w…

yes i know yeast is a fungus. Well, you do now. Now that I educated you with the brief lesson above and you decided to go back and correct your work like an errant schoolboy. Allow me to put it this way: For all other evolved men mature enough to enjoy and appreciate the fullness of their sexuality, their foreskin, indeed, provides a valuable service. I wonder why yours provides no function whatsoever? Hm.

I am a very feminine woman which means I really enjoy & admire men. I don't like to see men being treated with disdain or disrespect. I view myself as having the most important role in society: I am not raising 4 sons, I am raising 4 husbands. Having traditional feminine values does not make one a conservative politically nor does it make one a feminist. In fact, feminists tend to find me offensive.

I'm in CA, I know the laws will be different. My ex-husband & I went through an amicable divorce, it's been final for over 2 years. If the both of you can keep to it, it's the best for everyone. We have 4 sons, not one of them has ever had regrets or wished for mommy & daddy to be back together. They've each been happy and pleased to meet anyone either of us has been dating, incredibly well adjusted. In my situation, I did obtain a lawyer, he did not. As a woman, I actually could see a benefit to having a male sales associate when shopping. I'm not at all self conscious and if he had a professional demeanor I would appreciate a man's opinion when deciding to invest in new items. Women's clothing is expensive. I rarely shop and let's be honest, I want to dress attractively to a man's eye. If I were trying something on and not certain if I should buy it I would prefer a male associate view over a female.

“I pay child support to a biologically intact family,” Mike told me, his voice cracking with incredulity. “A father and mother, married, who live with their own child. And I pay support for that child. How ridiculous is that?” Totally fucked. We all hope that we can turn to the courts for a completely fair and rational decision. The position this man and others like him have been placed in is just beyond comprehension.

You know what, I don't know but I would definitely be a supporter. I'm definitely an old fashioned kind of gal and hate to see men being taken advantage of or dicked around. It's just wrong. And I guess there's a part of me that thinks about the future of my 4 sons. I cringe at the thought of them ending up with a disrespectful, abusive woman.

Thank you for such a well thought out and thought provoking response. Society still doesn't care that much about a father's interest in spending time with his children. The men you are telling me about (who don't care about receiving child support) realize this at some level, and are not going to make any noise that would give the courts and their ex wives any reason to further separate them from their children. The women also realize this and are taking advantage of it to increase their economi…

I appreciate your recognition. 'The system' doesn't seem to recognize that if we are to generalize, women are prone to drama. There are times when they just don't care who the collateral damage is. Here's another thing I just don't get: it seems like in all the situations I know, if the woman has the kids, the guy pays child support. But if the guy has them, the woman does not. The guy is simply relieved to be off the hook for the child support to the ex even though the kids are with him. When I…

When she phoned me that night, I tried so hard to rationalize with her. As a woman that is supportive of this subreddit, I believe men should have as many rights regarding the life of their unborn child as the woman has. It took 2 to create the situation they find themselves in. If the female half should desire to not be an active parent yet the male half should desire to raise the child on his own his rights as a parent should be fully protected.

Well from what I recall of my reading after he had made this declaration, apparently it is possible for light to come through not only the wall of the abdomen but also through the uterus as well. Apparently at a certain age of prenatal development the infant (fetus, creature, parasite) does begin to open it's eyes for periods of awake time and will direct it's attention to areas of light. I'm going by memory and I haven't re-looked it up but as I recall as the baby grows and the mother's skin is…

And how does that prevent you from replying to the comment appropriately? We're not discussing birth control, we were discussing prenatal and early childhood memory. But since you brought it up, you do realize that there are several other birth control options, don't you? Diaphragm, cervical cap, spermicidal foam or jelly, hormone free IUD...hell even the tried and true pull out method has been found to be more effective than condoms.

But there also are plenty of boys and men that have permanent damage from their circumcisions. Too much being taken off or from having it done too young (should not be performed on a premie or small baby). By contemporary standards I have not been with very many men yet I have personally known several that had circumcision damage. One required corrective surgery every year as a boy as he grew. My first husband had sexual limitations due to too much skin removal. His erections were painfully tigh…

Medically? I couldn't say. When he was about 3-4 I found a book based on some research about prenatal memories, I think it's called The Secret of The Unborn Child. I'm not home right now, I can confirm later. I'll tell you of one of the experiences he told me about: when I was expecting him I was told via several ultrasounds that I was having a girl. Great title. My oldest son is 15, has memories from the final months prior to birth, speaks Japanese and has what would be considered a photographic memory. He doesn't say what part of CA he's in. I'm in Los Angeles County, stay at home mom for the full 12+ year marriage. We have 4 kids together. I declined spousal support, my ex earned about the same at the time of our divorce. Had I chosen not to decline alimony it would have been no where near $4,000 a month. I'd have to pull out my files but I think it was in the neighborhood of $200.-$300. per month for 10 years. She's high. And I do mean on drugs.

With 4 amazing sons already I have recently begun to research the idea of becoming a foster parent. Age & race is really unimportant to me, I really just want to be able to provide a good home & education to one more person.
