I think psychedelics can and should be used to fill this rite of passage gap. Tribes in the Amazon basin routinely give children ayahuasca when they reach a certain age and let them wander the jungle. I believe shamanistic practices using psychedelics should transition children into being adults. Whether this be with DMT, LSD, mushrooms, peyoti, or some combination of them, I believe these substances do a fantastic job to usher the human consciousness into adulthood.
