Never said he didn't. But we don't know if he would have had Eve not seduced him into it. The point is that you can't fall back on "The devil made her do it" as an excuse. No one MADE her do anything. She CHOSE to do it, knowing it was forbidden. It may be understandable to be misled by the devil, but is it equally understandable to be misled by your spouse/partner?

If betas built civilization, then surely they must be alpha since they actually built civilization To be fair, slave labor "built" civilization, and I doubt most slaves could be called Alphas.

But she DID know that she was doing something expressly forbidden by God. Women have agency, don't take that away from her.

"Don't dress provocatively because the examiners are usually women and they won't pass you." Sounds more like women self-policing their sexuality (ie: slut shaming) than anything else.

Sex is important for guys Sex is important for everyone. That's why it's on the foundational tier of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. It's just convenient to demonize men for actualizing this need rather than acting like it doesn't exist.

What an amazingly thought-terminating accusation. It's almost like you didn't bother reading the entire comment, its contextual examples or clarifications, and just went off of the first sentence.

Do text messages count? Because if not then I've literally never received a thank you note from a woman.

I think that for some generalizations it's especially important to be clear and precise about how much of the group it actually applies to. If you quantify a generalization, it becomes a statistic.

Just for the record though, that's not what I believe; I was just parroting an RP sentiment I frequently see here to make a point. Fair enough. I too have been known to play Devil's Advocate from time to time. Cheers

Nowhere in my comment did I say "date better people. No, you said: "that's his fault for making a bad choice in partners" Which is really just a semantic difference from "he should have dated better people". Snarky though my comment may have been, I did not say what you're accusing me of saying. Again, it's a matter of semantics. You may not have used those exact words, but you expressed the identical sentiment.

I'm kind of shocked that you or apparently anyone else didn't realize that I was just turning the RP narrative back on you. I don't read RP, so I probably missed that. Having said that, I have seen the exact same sentiment as legit advice from BP people before. "Just date better people" is usually a magical panacea for all that ails you here. Why can these same standards not apply to men trying to avoid false accusations? They absolutely can. But you are leaving out an important distinction. Act…

When a large swath of your audience is "projecting" this meaning onto the ad Are they though? I mean, the ad won an award at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. It didn't receive any negative reactions until Cindy Gallup decided that a sexual subtext existed where there is explicitly none and then blasted the advertisers out for it on Twitter. If she hadn't done that, I doubt there would be any "controversy" here.

feel free to believe that all women are crap, and never aim higher or consider that you may need to make some changes for yourself; it's certainly easiest to just blame everyone else. if you ask for advice about how to find better people or have better relationships, though, you can't complain when people tell you to actually do something about it. Someone can't read usernames. I wasn't the one espousing this view or asking for advice.

Is this a common thing? A woman taping a man accidentally breaking something? Considering there are entire genres of TV show airing home videos of this exact thing (American's Funniest Home Videos etc.), yeah it kind of is. To see zero sexual context here is a little tone deaf, IMO. And to see any where it literally doesn't exist, with the exception of the word "babe" is just projection.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/16 04:57 PM

"Babe" implies a romantic or sexual relationship. Who would tape their partner puking? Is this normal? You can replace puking with any other potentially embarrasing behavior that might necessitate an over-the-counter pain reliever. Such as a dude accidentally breaking something he was attempting to build, hitting himself with a hammer, etc. Either way, the ad is simple text on a white background. There is no sexual content or context, whatsoever. Only an implied relationship. That's it. So for p…

The entire point of sexual selection is that only those good at attracting mates and raising their offspring will pass on their genes. If only the most successful men reproduce, we will have a better society every generation. But those who are good at attracting mates may not necessarily be the same ones who are good at furthering society. IE: bodybuilders probably get laid more than engineers; but society can live without bodybuilders.

if it "didn't work", you didn't actually do it. Or maybe it didn't work because the standard "just world fallacy" is in effect here, and you along with TW both believe that just finding someone "better" and then magically entering into a relationship with them is a simple thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/16 04:26 PM

I don't understand what the ad means and thus don't really have an opinion on whether it is nonconsensual sexual activity or not. It's literally red and green text on a white background with no visual context whatsoever. There is no sexual content or context at all, let alone "activity".

When a woman expects you to do something you don't know, what do you do? Fake it until you make it? Depends on the context, really. If it's something I have some tangential knowledge of, yeah. If it's something I have zero clues about, I'll usually say something like "I don't actually have any experience with that, but let's look it up on Youtube and see if we can find some videos about it, so we can both take care of it again if it ever comes back up." That approach acts as a bit of a filter as…

In your experience, do you think women still expect men to know/do these things? Most certainly. Maybe not hunting per se, but definitely typically male pursuits like camping, home & auto repair, etc. What are the results? This is purely anecdotal, so take it with a grain of salt. But my exes have pretty much all just expected me to be able to fix problems with their cars & computers, chop wood, build fires/shelter, be "handy" with household appliances, and own a full set of hand tools or power …

If I grew up a man, would I have already been taught these things? Maybe 30 years ago. In the modern age, very few dads are outdoorsmen anymore, and are not passing those skills onto their children. The internet age tends to keep people within range of wifi, and that's a real shame. I say this as someone who was taught how to camp, hunt, fish, etc at a very young age.

That's because men are often weird and threatening -- it's glaringly obvious that this is the case. If it's so "glaringly obvious", then you'll have no problem providing a peer-reviewed source defining weird, often, and threatening and proving your point.

That's quite interesting - you're something of a statistical anomaly. The majority of women in the UK aged 16-64 work, and most of that group is working full-time. Maybe in the UK. In the US, 74% of all part-time jobs are held by women. Also, only 57% of women work at all in the US.

Look, I totally get what you're saying. And I'm not necessarily disagreeing with it. Maybe I'm just being pedantic here, but I'm just saying that for one person to make a declarative statement saying that they definitively know the urges of all of their friends is impossible. Hence why I asked how she "knew".
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/16 06:30 PM

My point is that people have "urges" that they don't necessarily talk about with their close friends. For instance, I'm sure many of my close friends have sexual fetishes. But that doesn't mean I know what they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/16 05:47 PM

Most of the people I know don't have an urge to have a baby Seems like an odd declarative to make. Like, how do you even know that? Do you also think your friends know all of your "urges"?

I took the title as "These guys are not afraid to speak their mind uncensored." Except "balls to that" is a slang phrase that is basically equivalent to "fuck that". So it isn't a compliment so much as "fuck those guys".

They adopted two resolutions last July that seek to hold physicians accountable for the advice they dispense through mass media. It was directly aimed at Dr. Oz, although they removed his name from the final draft. They basically said if he continues to dispense unproven advice without disclosing a conflict of interest then he will have his license revoked. Additionally, the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons are in the process of ousting him from their faculty rolls for the …

Are you really classifying a teenage boy as a "man" and holding them to the same standards? And if so, are you implying that a teenage boy only wants pre-pubescent girls? Finally, why is your entire comment hinging on what a teenager "prefers" when this situation isn't about preference, but accepting an opportunity when provided one by an authority figure? Are you just going for a "gotcha" rather than having an honest debate?
