I had a substitute in first grade who couldn’t spell blossom. I guess she was 21-25. She seemed old.

I still haven’t seen any evidence that it was “super common”, and the fact that such extreme punishments were imposed when it was detected suggests otherwise. I’m deeply skeptical. Where are you going with it? Are you pro-infanticide? It sounds like you’re trying to normalize it.

We, people, find it hard to oppose demands that come from women. It's probably biological, the willingness, even urge to make life better for women (and children) as well as women's strong ingroup bias. Democracy, where every adult can vote, is a quite new thing, about 100 years old. You may be onto something. When did women get the vote in Finland?

I’ve made all the points I want to make, and they’ve fallen on deaf ears. I have no more time to explain why people should keep their own money.
/r/MensRights10/07/20 02:56 AM
1

So why is one paying less? They’re not. They’re paying the same amount. Your attempt to introduce the “share of their income” is covert wealth-redistribution. the wealth is being shared to the child ... So what is wrong with that? The fact that the money goes to the child doesn’t legitimize stealing other people’s money, which is in effect what you’re advocating. I think you have been exposed to such a narrow range of political and economic discourse that you have trouble seeing that others see …

People think it’s only North America and the UK, but the EU countries seem almost as bad.
/r/MensRights09/07/20 03:07 PM
1

I would like to understand how you think its fair that the poorer person pay more? Because both parents “signed up” (in our hypothetical world) to the obligation of having a child. People need to assess their capability to provide for (at least) half those needs before they decide to have a child. What you propose is wealth-redistribution disguised as child-support.
/r/MensRights09/07/20 02:51 PM
2

Because we’re paying the same amount of money, and I earn a lot more than you. If we had some other inextricable legal relationship (a business, say), I wouldn’t be able to demand that you subsidize my liabilities in connection with it. I think that we have fundamentally different political and economic views. I suspect that this is just one example.

If it’s our kid, and we’re divorced, yes.
/r/MensRights08/07/20 04:49 PM

Well a flat amount across the board is regressive and unfair. Are you familiar with John Rawls? I’m familiar with him. I just don’t agree at all. So I was right, I guess? Common sense and fairness would suggest that the parents should pay the same amount of money.
/r/MensRights08/07/20 03:57 PM
1

it just saves the government money The kid is more likely to have the heating on and their nutritional needs met Do you have empirical evidence supporting either of these beliefs?
/r/MensRights08/07/20 03:24 PM
1

If its 50/50, I don’t see why any of this is necessary. It seems like a wealth redistribution policy masquerading as child support.
/r/MensRights08/07/20 03:21 PM
2

It is a minority of cases that evolve into criminal cases. Again, this is totally false. I don’t know where you’ve picked up these ideas. Sexual assault allegations are most commonly brought in the criminal courts. Very few are ever brought in the civil courts (for example, as actions in tort).
/r/MensRights08/07/20 02:55 PM

Well, on what basis do you say that women in the Middle East are regarded as “property”?

Assigning that behaviour to all of one gender is just plain stupid [emphasis added] I don’t think anyone’s drawing that conclusion.

It comes down to a belief that males are higher up on the social ladder, and therefore any sexual desire a man has for the opposite sex is preying on someone who is oppressed. Au contraire: it comes from the idea that men are lower on the social ladder. There is therefore a perceived need to protect high-value women from low-value men.

You didn't understand about consent as a child from normal human relations? Not so sure it would make their lives easier at all. I've had no problems being gay. *I think you're being downvoted because this thread has been brigaded by people without the perspicacity to tell that you're not advocating gay conversion therapy. Your comment's very open-mindedness invited open discussion of social dogmas that some would rather leave unquestioned.

All I can tell you is my own experience. I suppose I had an advantage in that I was bi when I started, so all I had to do was eliminate the heterosexual element so far as possible, not create a new attraction where there had been none.

So you're saying that you think that the mathematics of how the fucking universe works is something that has absolutely no application other than to teach other students? I'm not saying that; that's a straw man. I'm saying a degree in math is academic and not vocational.
/r/PussyPassDenied07/09/19 11:40 AM

Like theoretical physics? *I've taken my view on this a step further. Vocational degrees do not belong in universities; medicine, law, engineering and architecture should all be taught by apprenticeship or vocational college, as they all once were. University degrees should be in truly academic subjects.

If that was the case then everyone would just shut up and suck it up and everyone would be happy. Definitely not the case. And even less so thanks to "affirmative actions", retarded censorship forced on the whole society because something is "offensive" in their own head, and other things like that, whatever. I think a father in the same position would have received either the death penalty or life without parole. Ohio law provides for the death penalty in cases of 'aggravated murder', including cases where: The offender [...] purposefully caused the death of another who was under 13 years of age at the time [...].

I expected that she'd keep the belly for weeks and then gradually lose it, but it disappeared pretty much instantly. She did smoke throughout pregnancy, unfortunately, and smoking suppresses appetite. *I think the difference may be that this was an elective C-section done specifically for better recuperation, and some C-sections are done because they're known difficult births.
