It seems pretty futile of you to bring up James Damore seemingly as though you agreed with his line of thinking as, in a gist, he is fundamentally saying men outnumber women in tech largely because, as studies show, they are better not due to sexism. That is what I’m saying in regards to war/battle. Men are better at it. It is not because they are disposable in the slightest and society (at least Western) should severely improve its recognition/investments of/into the significant contributions o…

Men are more superior at visuospatial skills/strength than women are on a general level is what I said. And if all men and women went to fight, and not the better of the two sexes in that regard, who would stay home with the kids? It doesn’t make sense from a men’s rights perspective to fight for men’s rights and not acknowledge the capabilities and skills of men; likewise for women. We have to acknowledge the difference between the sexes and build a world that accommodates that because that is …

I’m of the opinion that, yes, we usually should be the ones maintaining and taking care of the home and the kids while our husbands are out providing so they can come home to a semblance of peace. That is an important role. Also I don’t believe in mandatory drafting at all. It should be a choice. And there should be the choice for women AND men to fight however the preference should go to men as they are much more adept.

Always been here and I’ve been quite active on this Reddit stating that I believe in the biological difference. There are literal studies that prove this and disbelieving it is just dumb. It’s just sad to me that in a post where I want to highlight that and appreciate men for what they do, I get downvoted for supporting that very difference. Probably because everyone assumes me to be some sort of radical third wave feminist which I most certainly am not. They’re just confused. That or men in men…

If my husband was fighting in a war, I would do much more than simply make sandwiches for him. Trying to be derogatory is really just ridiculous. I am Muslim and not a modern world feminist so I would be immensely proud to be at home and supporting my husband on that front while he goes out to fight. Just as I would be proud of him and waiting for him to come back safely and unharmed. If we both went to fight, where would our kids go? I appreciate the skills and strengths of men and what they co…

Personally, I believe men should fight and not women because they are far superior with areas like that generally; visuospatial awareness, strength etc., However, I do think it should be lauded and recognized not just taken for granted that that is the case. But then, I believe in gender differences and that we are not equal in all matters; both genders have things they’re better at than the other. I am also generally more traditional and do immensely appreciate what men do and their role in our…

I think he means that maybe she had all the time to focus on child rearing since he made a good income so why would she up and decide on her own to go and get it done if there wasn’t anything really making it more difficult for her, namely a time-occupying career (assuming of course there are no health issues). Idk why anybody would ever make these decisions on their own OR force the other to do this. It should be a collective decision and should be equal.

I say the following with all due respect and in appreciation of civil and respectful discourse. I can respect others and know how to have my own opinions but vote for/discuss my own beliefs while living in a secular society Sorry for the following novel lol! I think, again, that would have to do more with the majority of the countries that implement different rights. Just because countries in the West want to implement something and call it human rights, doesn’t necessarily mean the majority of …

No, I don’t believe so. I also only believe in 2 genders therefore I acknowledge the differences between them. Additionally, I’m also Muslim and if we’re talking about rights globally, if you look at places in Africa or the Middle East, they will tell you there is a difference between the two that is needed. A large part of the world believes in shared rights and separate rights that cater to the differences. For example how we dictate inheritance rights, abortion rights in terms of rape, divorc…

You know the interesting thing is, I’ve, as a woman, said I don’t really believe that different genders can just be friends always without an attraction/crush/love at least on one side at some point. I also don’t really believe in being just friends with an ex like your brother and sister. And I get backlash equally from both men and women. I don’t think there’s anything wrong that people get naturally attracted to each other; it’s literally nature. Not because we’re horn dogs and it’s not to sa…

I think it’s important to distinguish between men and women because we are biologically psychologically different. There should be men’s and women’s rights to cater to the differences but they should be fair and basic shared rights should be collective human rights.
/r/MensRights01/02/22 01:26 AM

I mean I agree with the sentiment that they are conflicting with our rights completely. Because they’re not women and thus legally should not be treated so. But it should also be thought to be the same way for men with no backlash. Frankly, though, anybody saying gender is a fact and not a feeling/wish is susceptible to backlash and cancel culture 🙄

It doesn’t really make sense if you believe in actual gender differences. Which we literally should if science, nature and, for those that have one, religion tell us anything. Patriarchy being a bad thing at it’s core doesn’t really make sense. I believe in our separate biologies and psychologies. They’re generally a fact. Men are naturally a more dominant species than women are. That doesn’t mean men are better. We both have our pros and, not cons, but things we lack in in comparison to the oth…

Sorry for the upcoming novel 😅 No. I am usually willing to have conversations on this sub and go out of my way to talk to/understand the perspectives and needs, respectfully. But if someone is going to spin my words and prefer to stay in the state of finding every way to blame every woman he comes to contact with, I think that is not conducive to anything and is the exact reason a lot MRAs don’t like feminists ..because they generalize and associate horrible behavior with all men. No. I said work on yourself because you clearly have issues with me saying not all women are the type to call every man a creep for no reason. I did not say work on yourself because something is wrong with you. I’m saying get out that situation. And I would tell someone abused the same, to get out of the situation. Don’t surround yourself with an abusive person. You have serious issues to have taken it so far as to say I’m victim blaming and putting words in my mouth. Additionally, I do believe …

Well where are the resources coming from, one. If the government is allocating the resources, I think they have enough to do it for both should the issue arise. Private companies would be a different story. And two, I did say if they are completely separate gyms, separate companies, I don’t see the problem. I do understand the problem if it was one gym and only had a section that for women and the rest was mixed with no one spot for men. That I can understand. But if they’re completely separate …

Didn’t even read it past the first paragraph. Not worth it when you immediately say there was something wrong with me saying not all women are horrible and you happen to be surrounded by women that just may be. So work on yourself, bud! Have a good one.

In no way did I invalidate you. I said that you seem to be completely surrounded by odd women. As in, I validated you. As in, get yourself out of the situation where all the women around you are rude and calling you a creep if it is in fact for no reason. Not sure if you can read correctly. The only person invalidating anyone is yourself from what I can read. I’m not telling you my opinion to just spout nonsense. Personally I don’t think it should be banned. I think it’s kind of ridiculous. I think female and male separate gyms should be allowed and if there is a women’s only section in a gym, there should be a male side and vice versa so long as the clientele would actually use it. It isn’t a discrimination to the other sex, just a level of comfortability for several reasons. For me as a woman, I don’t think all men are creeps at all and I’ve had my fair share of harassment from men. I completely also u…

I don’t think women being legitimately bothered by men harassing them is the “paranoia of a few Karens.” That is a serious issue the same way it should be the other way around. You’re seriously surrounding yourself with some odd women if you’re doing nothing and being called a creep or subhuman. :/ That’s incredibly sad that when a close female relative/SO would tell you they’ve felt harassed, you’ve not taken them seriously. Thank you, I completely I agree with this. It should go both ways. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with gender segregated. The problem with this is just treating it like we’re all the same gender. Sadly I think this is where everything is going. It’s crazy to see the comments that are even talking about no segregation in the locker rooms… I get the frustration in terms of men not having their private space if they want it but I don’t think out right banning a women’s gym/section is the answ…

Honestly, this to me is not that bad of an idea considering the country’s official religion is Islam. I’ve been to gender segregated places in Muslim countries and frankly, I love them. Not because I hate men at all. They usually have places for just men as well. Not sure about Malaysia but this is not a surprise considering it’s a Muslim country. I say all this with all due respect and from my own experiences and opinions. I think it’s important to support women’s and men’s rights as global issues. Specifically good to remember that, yes, different issues are more prevalent in different parts of the world. However to center it just against men in Muslim countries is a bit unfair. That’s really odd. I mean, and I’ll probably get a lot of hate for it, but I’m for circumcision personally. Though I wouldn’t expect others to do it if they don’t want to. For sure, but by the sound of the rest of the post it doesn’t seem many people are blaming a man for the writing. Granted I don’t think this is what the author was trying to get at. I think, based on the study, he was just referring to the fact that women have biologically different (weaker in a sense) bodies and so in accidents with the same level risk, women tended to die more than men but that as the tech advanced the rate is more or less becoming the same. I don’t mean you offense, I get men…

I could not agree with your post more wholeheartedly. Gender roles/differences are beautiful and natural parts of life. Veering away from them, and of course I understand there being exceptions, is detrimental to our society. Not understanding who we are inherently as humans within our genders is doing a lot of damage to both sides. It’s sad because now on both sides, and I’m not going to say more or less from one or the other, there is anger and hatred that is not conducive to solving anything.…

This may get a little off topic and sorry for the novel in advance. I think women do want relationships and I’m of the opinion marriage is beneficial to both genders. The problem is I think we (women since that’s the side we’re talking about) are wanting/expecting stupid and unrealistic things without doing our part as women. It’s unnecessarily entitled. Like many women just feel automatically entitled just for existing as a woman. No. Be a woman and a good one and then expect something in retur…

Report to HR and if outside or something forcibly at you, in a place where it’s illegal, file for indecent exposure with the police? I’m not a man but I know for police part, there are a lot of times where nothing happens to people with indecent exposure unfortunately. But for HR, escalate the issue and do it written so you have a paper trail for follow up and strongly express your discomfort/asking for changes.

All I’ve found was the APA. But I think your wording is misrepresenting/misinterpreting, no offense meant. I think what they’re saying is the harmful aspects of masculinity. There are also harmful aspects of femininity. But I’m just talking about masculinity. They’re not saying masculine behavior is harmful. I think it’s natural. I didn’t read the article yet but I can say as a woman that the hormonal uptick we get when it comes to our menstruation cycles and then post partum, definitely can contribute to depression for me. Umh. Well, Islamically this is wrong. First, it’s not a dowry, it’s a mahr. Dowry is given by the bride which is not existent. Mahr is by the groom. Second. Islamically, no. It is not a large amount. In fact, a man came to our Prophet SAWS asking if he could marry this woman but he had no money. The Prophet SAWS asked if he had this and that, and the man said no. It’s not so much about how soon you can check. For example, there is something called implantation bleeding that can happen and sometimes it’ll happen around when you would get your next period so you might think it’s a super light period. Probably more so in the West. I would beg to differ the opposite in other countries or even that both are told/shamed for that. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think it can vary geographically, culturally/traditionally, religiously, you know? But yes, I live in the States and I get what you’re saying. I do think, however, that both can be held accountable here. Just my experience. I would think in this situation they’d share the responsibility but I do with the agreement that if you are going to be absent from your child’s life, then maybe rethink having children or at least try to go into it with a better plan. I understand some people have a lot less means so it’s difficult to say in every case. But if both are putting in in terms of careers because the money is necessary (not excess), then yeah, they should share the responsibilities. Just my opinion

First of all, as a Muslim; I had no idea what that even was. Secondly, there’s a difference between religion and dumb, disgusting cultural practices. Do some actual research and read the actual Quran before making ridiculous statements with no factual backing.

Oh, no interestingly I just discovered this a few years ago but the clitoris has much more nerve endings. Speaking as a woman, if it is almost slightly painful to expose it and just touch it on it’s own when removing the hood. The hood is a good cushion to protect against that major sensitivity. So if it was constantly exposed and being rubbed against, it would actually be really awkwardly painful.

No actually he did not. It was after puberty and if you did research you’d see that.

LOL not “femsplaining.” There are facts. I respect your decision to do what you want. But it is not torture. I don’t know any men who regret it or are desperately living their life in depression for having gotten circumcised. FGM is completely different than circumcision. Not the same at all and much more dangerous.

Oh no, I was just adding it to your list of religions that believe in circumcision and are also not pedophilic!

I’m not gonna comment on the topic of this thread because I have my own opinions and it’s too much to get into but one thing I do wanna say is that, while yes, the clitoral hood functions the same. But the actual clitoris has at least double the nerve endings than the glans, it’s incredible sensitive. To the point that if it was completely exposed it would be just downright painful and raw all the time. I don’t think circumcised men are in pain without their foreskin as far as I’m aware but I’m …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
