I just looked that up. You are 100% right and thank you for teaching me something lol.

I agree with you on this. I would have cut it off a long time ago at the onset as painful as it might be.

Then she'll leave and take half his stuff and the 6 figure investment goes out the door with her.

You know how it goes. She was pretty and smiled a lot etc and he hasn't been burned or watched other people get burned and now here he is. Your 10 or 1 in a 100 sandwiches metaphor seems to be pretty accurate. This is unfortunately common enough to be a sad joke or stereotype. I think it's more international though.

He's whipped it'll never happen. And when kids inevitably become part of the picture this is in all likely hood is going to get much much worse.

Are personality changes a total myth??

I'm surprised they even try at all. Most of the guys I talk to over 30 just seem to not bother anymore.

I see where you're coming from but I'm talking more about just the general emotions that start to come about after a certain time of being pair bound together not so much the marriage power dynamic which I agree with you on.

Yeah it's too easy to look at the surface of their situation and not really get it, especially when we're young and know everything.

I know many of those guys and they just shrug about it. The majority of the time the women very clearly would never have even considered the guy if she was child-free.

Cellphones definitely are cheating machines, but I think it comes down more to how they use them. That's a heavy duty restriction that limits your options maybe a little too much. A girl who spends all of her phone time looking at interior decorating ideas and cats on pintrest is very different from a girl who spends all of her time posting pictures of her ass on instagram.

Yeah, the most extreme feminist critics do seem to try and make it sound like we all have C-suite jobs in fortune 500 companies don't they?

It all depends on you, I've dated enough to 100% see why some guys would say nope, no thanks, forever.

Jeff Bezos's divorce in 2019 from MacKenzie Bezos; is the most expensive divorce with MacKenzie Bezos getting $38 billion ($40.3 billion inflation adjusted).[1] I think Mackenzie actually had a big part in making amazon but oh boy that's a lot of cash.

Why didn't you take their advice? I didn't marry early on more out of chance than actually having any clue what I was doing.

I don't think completely detaching yourself (for me at least) from women is a positive thing. They can make a lot of things in life awesome, you just have to be careful and deliberate.

They can just huck it in the trash or choose to ignore it??

Got to admit the first 3 months are a pretty awesome high lol. I'm not surprised that they fall for it considering most people's relative lack of discipline and the sway of a pair of boobs.

How do you handle your living situation? Did you buy a house together or do you rent etc?

The almighty norm 🙄a little conformity is a good thing but people always seem to want to crank the dial all the way up.

A few lawyers I've chatted with have told me the prenup will cover nearly everything...and that what I'm thinking of is a hurricane scenario where 99% of the time you just need an umbrella. Lets just say I'm skeptical.

As long as you're happy that's great. I'm happy alone too but having a girlfriend definitely makes life better for me. The key is to avoid all of the bad stuff. I wish I could just turn off the biology some days though for sure.

No doubt about that, but It looks like most of the elderly even with a family just get dumped in a home when they become enough of an inconvenience. This is coming from my healthcare experience and from being close to some very big families where out of 10+ brothers and sisters all you get is the biggest saddest game of hot potato you've ever seen.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
